  • Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
    of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
    Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible. There are no additional fees
    for respite stays.

The care my dad received from the Pinetum staff was excellent.
Their compassion was second to none.
The home was beautiful and clean.
Unfortunately there were occasional toilet smells on my dad's floor - through no fault of the staff as they always took care to distinguish unpleasant odours rapidly.
The
laundry service was excellent too.
Can't comment on the food as my dad's diet was virtually non existent, but the chef's patience was wonderful and he tried his hardest to offer anything to my dad.
The separate financial side of things was very upsetting for my mum and I believe she has written to the council over this.

My husband was transferred to Pinetum from the adjacent hospital as part of their "winter beds scheme". He has now been at Pinetum for two months and will continue to be cared for there as a permanent resident.


During this time we have received nothing but kindness, care and professionalism from

all the staff, some of whom have been there for many years.


My husband is the second member of his family to reside at Pinetum and because of the care his sister received this has been our only preference. I wouldn't want him to be anywhere else and I do hope he is able to see out his life in their care.

My mother was admitted to Pinetum Nursing Home on the 19th of August after leaving hospital. Mum was being treated as palliative due to stomach cancer. Pinetum staff made me and mum welcome from the very start. They cared and looked after mum, showing compassion, sharing experiences with me, supporting
and comforted us both. Nothing was too much effort 24/7. They continued their care for the entire time she was there - she passed away on 16/9/16. Domestic, catering, care workers and nurses showed care and compassion. I always felt welcome and part of the 'Pinetum family'. Nothing at all was too much trouble. I can't thank them all enough for the care they gave.

My mother lived at Pinetum for the last 6 months of her life until her death in July. I cannot fault the care she received from all the staff. This enabled her to stay at the home without having to die in hospital. Mum had dementia which meant her behaviour could be erratic but staff were always very
patient with her. I visited at random times without prior notice and always found Mum clean and well cared for. If you are looking for an efficient, well run and caring nursing home I would recommend Pinetum.

Job Title: Home Manager

I worked as a nurse in Romania from 1998 to 2016 when I joined Care UK.


Care UK’s strong values were what made me decide to come to the UK and work here. After speaking with team members in the home, I felt it was a good opportunity for me to develop my career.


When I first joined Care UK, I worked as a nurse. I was soon promoted to Night Nurse Manager, then Deputy Manager and now Acting Home Manager.


My role is to ensure the home is safe and comfortable for residents and to provide support to colleagues in our team. In this role, you need to have strong leadership, communication and time management skills. It’s also important to be confident and experienced and respect others.


My favourite part of the day is our team meeting, where all the colleagues in the home get together and make plans for how we move forward. At Pinetum, we have a strong sense of teamwork, and I’m proud of our colleagues’ commitment, which helps us to get through any challenges together.


Outside of work, I enjoy fishing and reading.
