Sharston House, which is situated in a peaceful residential area close to Knutsford Town Centre, combines the warm, friendly feel of a family home with the elegance of an impressive Victorian residence.

The home offers nursing care for older people, in a luxury homely setting. It support residents needing either long term or short term care, including respite care. The home also specialises in providing end of life care.

Set in beautiful grounds it has a large, pleasant patio area, with plenty of outdoor seating area for residents to sit, relax and enjoy the fresh air, particularly during the summer months.

The home is spacious with a large lounge, quiet conservatory area and music room as well as a café area where residents can spend time with family and friends.

Mealtimes are an important part of the day and chefs prepare delicious home cooked food to tempt even the most discerning appetite. Residents are encouraged to enjoy their meal in the dining room, taking their time, while socialising and making new friends.

My mother has received excellent care for over two years now from a very professional and friendly team of staff. She is bedbound now but still enjoys chatting and watching television. The staff always respect her choices and are all so kind. Things seem to be more normal now, and we are always made
to feel welcome whenever we pop in for a visit. It is always lovely to see Mum eating so well.

The circumstances of my elderly relative changed suddenly resulting in a short stay in hospital followed by a period of rehab care in Sharston House. The house is lovely, it smells fresh and was spotlessly clean on my (so far) 2 visits and I receive a cheery hello from staff during my visits.
My relative
initially struggled with the thought of not being at home, but he soon made good relationships with the staff. Some of whom he likes so much, he'd be happy if they never went home! The nursing care on his previous skin wounds has been exemplary and other existing medical complaints have dramatically improved under the watchful eye of the team. He is not a joiner of groups but has very much enjoyed the weekly visit of the Pets as Therapy dogs in his room and the menu can be tailored for individual tastes.
I have been impressed with the responses when things haven't gone so well. Any issue has been listened to, addressed and resolved with sensitivity by the manager - I couldn't ask for more.

My wife has been in Sharston House for some weeks now. She feels safe and well cared for. Sharston House is clean and warm. The staff are kind and very helpful. There is a good atmosphere with lots of laughter and smiles.

Sharston House has never wavered during the past year in its high standard of care and empathy with residents and their relatives. Always resourcing ways to maintain morale and interest in various aspects of their lives. I have found that there is a deep vein of effection through Sharston under the
careful management and the staff, even after the strain put on them with the pandemic.

The care staff are very kind and friendly. I feel that I can confide in them. They are well trained and efficient. My husband and I are both residents here in a double room. We each have different needs, and the staff take very good care of us and our individual needs. The trained nurses are very skilled,
and they are always on time with the medication.

Apart from having to wait up to 15-mins for the doorbell to be answered when arriving to visit my wife, I found all the staff efficient and helpful - some were particularly welcoming.

I have only been able to visit a few times, because of the Covid restrictions and I live in Cornwall, but I feel she is receiving the best service available. Staff are extremely helpful and pleasant, nothing is too much trouble. Mum seems to be settling well. Thank you so much for your care and attention.

My mother was admitted towards the end of her life, and the staff have provided excellent medical treatment during my mum's final weeks. They have treated her with care and kindness and have been ever willing to help with the limited contact allowed during this Covid lockdown. My father and I cannot
thank them enough.

My mother-in-law became a resident in December 2020. Obviously, due to covid 19, we were unable to visit the home prior to her arrival. However, on the occasions when we've needed to contact the home, the staff have been very friendly, professional and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble and all
questions asked are fully answered. They are very informative, and weekly emails keep us updated with any news, changes etc. A face to face visit was allowed on Christmas day for my husband to visit his Mum, which was very well organised and went well. Regular Zoom calls happen for all the family to get involved, which is greatly appreciated.

My mum had a fall and was in the hospital for a few weeks until she was transferred here. I can't thank the staff enough how much how well they look after my mum. They work beyond their expectations and work very hard, plus I know how busy they are. They take good pride and well-being in my mum. They
go out of their way to help me be in contact with my mum with the covid. The staff are always polite and are happy to help in any way.
The home is lovely, beautiful and well presented.

Well, I was very well looked after. Staff were very kind in a caring way. Food was lovely, tasty and filling. I spent a very restful time. Your washing was done and brought back fresh on hangers, out in your wardrobe the same day. Thank you to everyone.

Mum was transferred to Sharston House after an initial 4-weeks in the hospital, following a bad fall at home. There is obviously never a good time for these things to happen, and with the added complications of lockdown isolation and procedures, we worried for Mum's peace of mind.
We need not have.
From a period of 24-hours before her arrival to date, my sister and I have been kept fully informed of her progress.
Due to the medication, she has been on, there have been good days and bad, but there has always been someone available to speak to and give us full updates. Phone and FaceTime calls are regularly facilitated, and more recently, face to face visits by appointment.
I had thought here to mention of a couple of members of staff by name who are always prepared to go the extra mile, but that would be unfair as there are so many dedicated staff at the home.

Every single member of staff with whom we have had contact in the 18-months that my mother has vee a resident has always been helpful, courteous, kind and supportive. Any changes in her condition are dealt with straight away and advised directly to myself or my father. Despite the incredibly difficult
times, the home has faced over the past six months, every effort has been made to minimise the upset and unrest the lockdown period must have has on residents.

Several weeks ago we lost a dear member of our family, my Father, and our daughters' Granddad. Dad was 92 and in poor health, he had struggled on valiantly for a number of years. The time came when we had to think of him going into care, it was arranged for Dad to go to Sharston House by the nurses
at MacMillan. Many years ago Mum had suffered a stroke and had been admitted to Sharston house nursing home in Knutsford so we knew from our experience then, that the care that Dad would receive would be excellent. We were 100% correct, the care was commendable; the staff were so kind and compassionate. We were kept up to date with all that was happening. When they came to give him medication it was done with care and dignity. Nothing was rushed it was all done in a calm and respectful manner. Several weeks have gone by since Dad's passing, I wanted to make sure that the review I gave was heartfelt and not on the spur of the moment. My views today are the same now as those when Dad passed.

I have enjoyed every moment of my stay. The staff has done everything to make my stay perfect. They felt like family and to be honest I will miss everybody so so much. As soon as my husband was admitted to Sharston House, he was treated with dignity and kindness. The staff assessed his needs and he was allocated a room on the ground floor to ensure his safety. He enjoyed the activities organised for the clients and these seemed to be a very varied range to cater for
the needs of all the clients. When his condition worsened, he was given a room opposite the nurses room. He asked for his door to be constantly open and he was fed appropriately. His end of life care was excellent and I and my family are so grateful he was so well treated.

I completed my general nursing and midwifery in 1995 in India. Started my nursing career and worked in super speciality hospitals in medical and surgical wards till 2004.


After moving to the UK, I worked as a staff nurse at Macclesfield General Hospital for 6 years and in different healthcare settings as a nurse.


I joined Kingsley Healthcare in 2019 and held roles as Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager and now Home Manager as of 2022.


I am compassionate, dedicated, caring, and supportive to the residents, family and staff and a good team player.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

I qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in 2012 having had a previous career in pub management. My motivation to train as a nurse was always to work with a care home setting.


During my training and when I first qualified I worked in many different setting but my heart always lay with working with older adults. So for the past 11 years I have been working in various Care homes developing my nursing skills and working my way up to Clinical Lead and Deputy Manager. I joined Sharston House in November 2024 as Deputy Manager.


I have an absolute passion for providing the very best care and support for all our residents, treating everyone as an individual and tailoring care and support to suit their preferences and needs. Wellbeing is a big passion of mine and I ensure our residents wellbeing is taken in account at all times.


Now that my children have grown up I like to travel when I’m off. I also like to crochet and make twiddle items and blankets for people living with dementia.
