Tabley House , which offers nursing and residential care, is located in the beautiful Cheshire countryside in acres of parklands. The service is set within a stunning 18th-century country house.

It’s difficult to put into words the care and support offered at Tabley House. There’s warmth all around – from the friendly welcome as you arrive, to the nursing and care staff looking after your every need, to the unique and individual bedrooms. There’s nowhere quite like Tabley House Nursing Home.

They have everything you would expect from a quality place of care; qualified nursing and care staff working 24 hours a day, seven days a week in homely social and private spaces. Each room is individual, elegant and unique and all comfortably furnished.

They aim to maintain and improve quality of life, involving family and friends and making sure personal choices are understood and respected. Their many family events are always well attended and much enjoyed – families are welcomed and encouraged.

Where someone may be frail or need post-operative and convalescent care, their highly trained and friendly teams of nurses and care professionals will ensure each individual’s medical and care needs are met.

Tabley House firmly believe that everyone deserves dignity and respect as they approach the end of their life, providing compassionate and sensitive care. They recognise that as someone is nearing the end of their life, it can involve very intense feelings for both the resident and their loved ones and have dedicated facilities to allow families to stay, enabling them to spend those precious last moments together.

I cannot thank the manager and all the staff at Tabley House enough for all they did for our stepfather - within 2 weeks of arriving, he changed back to his usual colouring from being what can only be described as an awful and very worrying colour, he stopped falling and he looked very relaxed. A far
cry from the respite home the hospital had placed him in, if only we had managed to get him to Tabley House sooner! The staff are so lovely, they will do everything possible to make the residents happy and it shows! Thank you to the manager and the entire team - we very much appreciate all you did for our stepfather.

My total gratitude to the manager and staff, who cared for my husband in the last few months of his life, suffering from a terminal illness. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The love, care and devotion to making his life as comfortable and dignified as possible was exceptional. I also felt wrapped
in a blanket of love and care from the staff in what was a very difficult time in my and my son's lives.

All the staff are extremely kind and patient; they are always ready for a laugh. The food was also out of this world. Help was always there at the touch of a button. I enjoy my stay and would be happy to come back here if I needed care again.

I have been well looked after. Care and nursing staff always willing, and the care has been excellent. The food has been very good, with the choice available. All the staff have been helpful. I have stayed here one month but would choose somewhere like this definitely, Tabley House.

My dad went into Tabley Nursing Home last year. He has severe dementia and requires a lot of assistance with day to day living; this is, unfortunately, a worsening condition and he requires more and more help as time goes on.
All the staff at Tabley are absolutely fantastic at what they do; they are
patient, kind, professional and skilled at working with residents like my dad, and they go out of their way to make sure he's as comfortable as possible at all times.
During these extremely challenging covid times we have been able to have several socially distanced and covid-safe visits with my dad, again the staff have worked really hard at making these visits possible. This has been a great benefit for my mum and me, as we were obviously worried (like all relatives I imagine) about how my dad was getting on with no visitors over the summer, during the lockdown.
I cannot recommend Tabley House highly enough, and that's all down to the staff who work tirelessly for their residents.

Mum has been a permanent resident since February 2020. She had also received respite care at Tabley House previously. The staff are very caring and have taken the time to get to know Mum. What she likes to wear and when she needs to rest more frequently etc. They engage fully with Mum and look after
her extremely well. The spacious and comfortable lounge is set out like a drawing-room so it does not resemble a clinical, bland, offputting care home room. Mum has dementia and it is so important that she feels safe and comfortable. The staff at Tabley House and the surroundings fulfil this at a very high level.

My father has been looked after for over two years now and although a Care Home is never the home you left the staff try to allow you some independence and at the same time watch over their residents. Since Covid has come along the Matron, has done an excellent job protecting residents and working staff
from the virus with weekly testing.
Food seems to be up and down but never bad, catering for so many different tastes is not an easy task and it needs a forward-thinking chef to accommodate all needs.
During lockdown pre-arranged visits have been allowed but now winter is upon us these have been stopped.
Some residents have computer tablets to communicate by video call etc... but the signal strength could be better as conversations often are cut off which is frustrating for resident and relative.
Overall it is a good Care Home with expert staff and much better than most I looked at for my father.

Just over 18 months ago my wife had a fall and required an extended period in hospital but fortunately maintained most of her faculties. However it was clear she needed 24-hour medical care and it was not difficult to decide that Tabley best satisfied our needs, a view confirmed after visits and tours
by our daughters. During the "normal" months of 2019, I visited and could sit with my wife and touch and have mutual reassurance.
That changed with the virus. The record of residential safety has been first class and staff have worked hard within the ever-changing regulations to find ways and means of maintaining channels of communication between residents and their loved ones.
The physical assets of buildings, bedrooms, sitting areas etc are all comfortable.
Making the assets work for the benefit of the residents is the task of the Matron and her staff. They make a very good team and merge competence with care and compassion and provide a homely warmth to their diverse programmes.

Both my mother and my aunt have been, and my aunt still is, being cared for at Tabley. My Mother was very poorly and the end of life care was excellent for both my mum and the family. My Aunty has been at Tabley for six years and has a very bright and spacious room. All the caters and the receptionists
always go the extra mile for her and this gives the family peace of mind that she is being well cared for, well-fed and although she doesn’t appear to remember lots of people in the team to converse with. Also, it was her birthday yesterday and they made her look fab and they had a tea party with a borrowed bone China tea set, just how she would have liked it. Thanks to all the team.

Hello, I am Deborah, I joined Tabley House in the summer of 2024, bringing over 30 years of experience in the health and social care sector. I believe that a career in care is my calling, as I am passionate about making a difference in others’ lives.


I see my move to Tabley House as an exciting opportunity to lead a fantastic team of committed and caring staff members with a shared vision. It’s great that I can influence change and it’s a privilege to be part of a team whose aim is to improve the experiences and outcomes for the residents we care for.


Outside of work, I love to travel and have had the pleasure of travelling both far and near, with my favourite destination currently being Cambodia which I have visited twice. I have three grown-up sons and three grandchildren who take up lots of my time - as well as five labradors!

Hello, my name is Rachel and I am the Deputy Manager at Tabley House. I started my training at Wrexham Maelor Hospital in 1978 before becoming a fully qualified registered nurse. I worked at the hospital for many years before taking a career break to raise my children and help my husband run our family pub.


After a break, I decided about 10 years ago that I would come back to nursing. After a year of working at Wrexham Hospital, I joined the team here at Tabley House. I worked as a registered nurse before being promoted to clinical lead and then to deputy manager.


I love supporting the team at Tabley House to provide high-quality care to the residents. We are a family at Tabley.

Michelle Milne

Job Title: Clinical Lead

Hello, my name is Michelle and I am the clinical lead at Tabley House. I have been in post for over 3 years and love working at Tabley; it is a very special and welcoming home. We have a clinical team of registered nursing staff and healthcare assistants. Our registered nursing staff have a range of qualifications including RGNs, RMN and RNLD, our healthcare assistants are also all qualified within their field and have oodles of experience. Our diverse range of qualifications and experience enhance our team's range of clinical skills in meeting individual resident needs.
