Woodlands Care Centre is a small nursing home which offers a homely atmosphere providing dignified and compassionate residential, dementia, nursing and palliative care. Woodlands has a team of highly skilled nurses and care staff trained to care for a variety of health conditions including Dementia, Alzheimer's, Multiple Sclerosis, cancer and Parkinson's. The team ensures that Woodlands is a happy, welcoming and homely environment for all residents, their family and friends.

Day space comprises 2 lounges in addition to a brand new conservatory / dining room in November 2023 overlooking a mature garden with wheelchair-accessible patio and lawns.

The building has great character, built as a private residence in 1880, which became a care home in 1984. Bedrooms are large single rooms (couples can be catered for in the largest rooms), many with en-suite facilities, located on two floors with a passenger lift between. Bedrooms can be personalised with favourite furniture pieces, pictures and ornaments from home.

With home cooked food cooked on the premises, special diets can be catered for. A varied daily menu is designed to provide choices that enhance the health and wellbeing of residents.

Residents enjoy a varied activities programme, tailor-made, with games, quizzes, dining experiences and holistic therapies. They have their own in-house hairdresser.

The Woodlands philosophy is targeted at providing a safe and friendly 'home from home' environment whilst offering the highest standards of nursing and personal care aimed at fulfilling the golden years of their residents.

We attended the Woodlands 'fine dining' evening on 24th October 2018. The effort made by all of the staff was fantastic! They couldn't have done more and we enjoyed it immensely!

This relates to the fine dining evening organised by the Woodlands staff.
It was a very enjoyable evening with staff providing their usual helpful, cheerful and fun personalities fully into their roles.
The food was delicious and presented well.
It was a great success and appreciate being able to
spend quality time with Mother in such a special way.

Our mum has been at the Woodlands Care Centre for only a couple of months. We have found all staff welcoming and care always provided as if extended family. Our mum is always clean and tidy and seems happy in her environment which means an awful lot to us given her poor health requirements. Meals are
always appetising and everyone is comfortable in their lovely rooms. As it's early days, we can only comment on our first impressions, which were a very warm and welcoming care providers.

Mum was admitted to hospital, the care she received at Woodlands Care Centre was exemplary and the staff are friendly and always welcoming. Mum always looked clean with clean clothes on. I cannot in anyway fault the care and attention mum received. The staff working at the Woodlands are a credit to
the profession.

Mum has almost spent a year here. The centre has always welcomed our family and we can visit mum as often as we can anytime. There is a lovely family feel about the home and it's residents. The accommodation is comfortable and warm and cosy. Mum is able to make her own choices when possible and as a
family, we can communicate with the staff at any time. We are happy at all times.

Our mother was transferred to Woodlands following a fall and a subsequent hip operation. She was not able to communicate well due to a deterioration in her dementia and physical frailty. From the moment we arrived, all the staff, without exception, were very welcoming and empathetic to her situation.
Nothing was too much trouble and the simple thoughtful things they anticipated both for her needs and ours was exceptional. These people we have only just met but due to their caring nature became very dear to us during this sad and difficult time. There was a lovely family feel to this home which reminds us that people make a home, not buildings. We cannot thank them enough for being there for us all.

The staff were excellent, very caring to my wife and supportive to myself and my family.


My wife was confined to bed, unable to feed herself or speak. The staff monitored her on a regular basis and assisted with feeding and all requirements. The rooms were basic, but adequate, nothing was too much

trouble, I know because I was present many hours every day.


I would be happy to recommend Woodlands Macclesfield Care Home.

My stepfather had been a resident at Woodlands Care Centre for twelve months following a stroke which left him in need of full-time care. The staff at the home have been tremendous both in the care given to my father and the attention to our family with difficulty of some living in Australia, therefore
a different time zone. My father's health gradually failed and sadly died in their care but the attention which my father received was second to none with extremely loving care from management, carers and particularly nursing staff who took time out to visit him whilst having a spell in hospital. I can't recommend the staff highly enough.

The lady I knew who was in the Woodlands died in January 2016. However throughout the 2 1/2 years she was in the home she was well cared for and I had no complaints.
