I do visit my sister weekly, not always the same day of the week, so I do get a good overall picture of the standard of care, support and activities offered. Management/staff are always available to any of my concerns.
Rooms, facilities and cleanliness I have found to be good. I never visit at meal
times, as this would take away time I spend with her, but I do look at the menu and the choices offered give a well-balanced diet.

Mum has lived at St Alban's since November 2022. She tells me she is very happy at the home.
She likes all the staff and I have seen nothing but positive interactions with Mum and other residents when I visit.
Mum likes the food and loves that she can order special dinners and have guests to eat with
her when she wants.
The activity coordinator keeps residents engaged in meaningful activity and encourages them to develop friendships with other residents.
Most of all, the team really understand Mum and provide care and support that is appropriate and heartfelt. Mum says the people who work there, both day and night, are kind and listen to her.
Mum's complex care and nursing needs are delivered to ensure she is safe and well.
I am so happy Mum got to stay in St Alban's, as she got to stay in the community she has lived in for nearly thirty years. Thank you for the amazing birthday afternoon tea recently, which meant Mum could have a special time with her friends and family.

My 98-year-old aunt was admitted to St Alban's after spending two months in two different hospitals. Prior to her admission, she was mobile with a three-wheeled walking frame. When she arrived at St Alban's she could no longer walk. She was depressed and unhappy. After talking to staff and letting them
know how she was prior to admission to the hospital, they gave her all the assistance, encouragement and care she needed. Within weeks, she was walking with her frame, always with an assistant by her side. They gave her some much-needed confidence in herself. After some months, it was realised that it would not be safe for her to live alme anymore. We moved her to another room with a sea view of a place where she played as a child. She is content and well cared for. She like the staff, enjoys the food and often joins in with entertainment. Her hair is done every couple of weeks, and the chiropodist visits regularly.
When it was her 99th birthday, I was invited to have lunch with her. We had a delicious three-course meal with a glass of sherry!
She is now on her way to her 100th birthday and looking forward to it.

Thanks to the caring and friendly staff my dad has settled in well at St Alban's Nursing Home. Everyone is very welcoming, kind and understanding. Great efforts are made to ensure that my dad's needs are catered for and there is a range of activities on offer to keep him entertained. Unfortunately living
away I cannot visit often, but I am happy to know that he is being looked after very well.

My son was admitted to St Alban's in April 2023 with advanced early-onset dementia. From the start, the staff have been absolutely wonderful with him and, at the same time, so very supportive of our family.
I could not fault anything about the home and could not find words enough to tell how much peace
of mind I now have knowing that my son is, not only well-fed and well cared for, but also that he is treated with love.
The staff are all amazing. Thank you so much, everyone.

It was the hardest decision ever for our family to accept we needed nursing care for my brother and for him to lose his independence and home that he loved. I cannot thank all the staff (across all roles) at St Alban's enough for what they have done since my brother moved in, not only have they made
my brother feel safe, loved and happy, they have made me feel the same too. Settling in to life at the home was very quick, getting to know all the staff and having fun with them. Whilst supporting my brother they are also supporting me and holding me up through this really difficult time. I am welcome in the home whenever I like to see my brother and it feels like my second home, always welcomed with a smile and lots of happy faces when I bring my dog along too. The home is always spotlessly clean and smells the same everyday. The food is amazing and all home cooked. Cups of tea are always offered whenever I want which often comes with a hug if needed.

The most outstanding feature of the care home is the way the staff have worked hard to get to know my mother, taking time to talk to her and appreciate her. This has made all the difference to her every day life. My mother has been in other nursing homes but it is at St Alban's Nursing Home that the
staff fully cater to her needs.

The home has ample security measures, the staff are friendly and take time to know the residents and their needs and requirements and the families who come to visit them, the rooms are neat and tidy and cleaned daily. The meals look lovely. Could do with slightly more parking.

My cousin has lived here for over a year. She was living on her own in Fleetwood for more than thirty years. She is settled and happy, after a period of settling in. She joins in activities, which she is able to do. At ninety-one years old things have changed so much for her and, we are happy to say,
for the better. All the staff are very helpful and we are greeted with a smile, which means a lot.

The care home works very hard to facilitate residents' needs. These needs are not only activities of daily living and personal care. They also look at the person's identity and are resourceful and creative to maintain the person's sense of self. This is achieved by their excellent activity co-ordinator
who goes beyond what is expected. This is achieved through recognising the importance of developing a life storybook and actually grading and adapting activities that enable the individual to take part within their abilities.
The care manager is professional and actively involves me in my husband's care, and listens to my suggestions. This is done sensitively as my husband's needs are changing and becoming more complex. I feel my views and suggestions are considered. Thus I still feel part of my husband's care. My only suggestion is to develop the activities further to enhance the resident's lived experience and maintain their quality of life.

Overall the carers and nursing staff are very good but as a family, we had a few issues regarding my Mum's care. The latest being that Mum needs a specialist chair which the home will not provide and she has been given notice to leave. We feel that it is the management who are failing in their duty
of care, especially as Mum fell and broke her hip whilst in their home. Mum is 88 years old and would be devastated if she knew she was the centre of all this turmoil.

Staff very helpful and informative. Excellent knowledge of Mum's situation and understanding of her needs for dementia and other physical needs. Reassured me that they are able to deal with Mum's complex problems and I am totally happy with her being at this home. Each visit she is happy, seems to have
a good rapport with staff who attend and respond to her requests whenever she wants. Staff could not be more helpful and supportive. Home is spotlessly clean, food very good and snacks always available.
