My husband resided in Croston Park from December 2019 until 30th April 2020. He was treated with great kindness and caring. It was a massive relief for us his family to know the wonderful treatment he was given. We were so lucky he was able to go to Croston Park. He had an inoperable tumour and they
made the few months of his life very comfortable. All the staff are lovely.

My aunt spent her last few weeks at Croston Park where her care was excellent. On behalf of the family, I’d like to thank all the staff for the care given to her, which I am sure made her last few weeks as peaceful as they could be. It can't be easy, especially in the current situation. My uncle has
early-stage dementia and great consideration was shown to him too on his regular visits to my aunt.

My dad was in Croston Park for the final 12 months of his life and I thought the staff there cared for him extremely well, with themselves no doubt under extreme pressure. I could not praise the staff highly enough for their efforts and the way they made Dad's end of life so dignified.
Only things
I would say is the food is at best very average, particularly the evening meal and I suspect there should be more staff to cope with the demands of the home.

My dad was only a resident for a short time and whilst he was there he was treated with dignity and respect. I arrived at different times and no matter when I attended, you could hear staff talking to the residents in their care in a kindly, patient manner. Dad's room was well appointed and the communal
areas were comfortable and homely. The staff kept me informed regarding Dad's care and they ensured me that all his medical needs were met. The home has a friendly atmosphere and when I visited I never felt I was in the way and was always welcomed. I would recommend the home to anyone's loved one.

Since the moment my mum set foot through their doors, my mum was treated with respect. She was looked after as I would look after her myself, maintaining her dignity and cleanliness. The staff were very helpful (nothing was a problem for them) and extremely kind (always willing to give hugs). The rooms
were spacious, personalised and always extremely clean. The care home sorted all financial matters out very quickly and efficiently and at the end of my mum's life, they could not have done more for us and her. Well recommended !!!

My mum lives contentedly in this beautiful nursing home due to a stroke and dementia, she is always treated in a very personal, kindly and respectful way from all the staff. I feel like she is now in a big happy family, she makes her own choices suitable outfits with accessories and enjoys her weekly
hairdressing. She is assisted gently with her meals, and mum is encouraged to join in the activities such as flower arranging, quizzes, singing and chair based exercises. She especially enjoys the trips out, the singers and pets who visit the home. Relatives are always welcomed they giver ideas at a three monthly meeting and we are kept unformed of mums care needs frequently. The kindness, patience and cheerfulness of all the staff ensure my mum is happy at this special time of her life for which myself and my sisters are extremely grateful. Thank you to the manager and all her staff.

My wife was admitted to Croston Park Care Home on the 2nd of December 2009, needing full nursing care. The manager wrote to me, at that time, stating that they are able to meet all of my wife's needs. This they have done for the past six years and continue to do so, today!

Abigail Kershaw joins us as the new registered manager at Croston Park, bringing with her an impressive eight years of experience as a registered nurse. Her extensive career, primarily focused on acute medicine within hospital settings, showcases her capabilities in managing wards and her specialisation as a respiratory nurse. Abigail's dedication to healthcare was further highlighted during the pandemic when she volunteered in a COVID ward, demonstrating her commitment to patient care in the most challenging circumstances. Additionally, she has valuable experience in residential care for the elderly, underscoring her comprehensive understanding of the needs of our residents.


It is at Croston Park that she feels she has found her calling. Abigail is thrilled to take on the role of home manager.


In her new position, Abigail said, "Being part of the Croston Park family is like finding where I was always meant to be. It's not just about leadership; it's about making a real difference in the lives of our residents and their families. I'm here to ensure that everyone feels at home, supported, and part of our unique family."
