Standing in four acres of landscape grounds with spectacular views of the surrounding Lancashire countryside, Springhill Care Home provides top quality luxury en-suite accommodation, and personalised care and support for adults and older people with a variety of needs.

The Care Home and Care Centre are both therapeutic but homely, designed for care, yet beautifully appointed. Springhill Care Home has been designed from the outset with the aim of providing an atmosphere that is both supportive and purposeful, aiming to strike a good balance between appropriate stimulation and calm.

At Springhill, everyone is encouraged to continue living life to the full. Even with an awareness of limitations residents are encouraged to enjoy the benefits of a lifestyle support team, who work alongside care and support staff enabling residents to enjoy a range of activities.

Many people enjoy gathering for a coffee morning, exploring the morning papers and having a chat while others enjoy playing games, arts and crafts, pottery, plants and gardening. The lifestyle support team offers opportunities for music appreciation, aromatherapy and other gentle therapeutic benefits which have positive benefits.

Good quality rooms, very clean and well maintained. The staff are warm and attentive, and the meals are of good quality with plenty of tea or coffee available all day.

My cousin moved into Spring Hill in June last year after a lengthy hospital stay for the repair of a broken leg, which went badly wrong. Since entering Spring Hill, her condition has dramatically improved as the quality of her care has been so exceptional. The standard of nursing is first-class, as
is the environment within which she is living. Everyone from reception and management to nursing, therapists and catering staff is cheerful, but cannot do enough to make her comfortable and to encourage her to make her way towards a better quality of life. We have been especially helped by the manager in dealing with the many issues we have encountered in ensuring that my cousin's care is properly provided and adequately funded. An exercise which we have found to be extremely complex and daunting as we have no experience in this field. What a lovely place to visit and know that my cousin is being given the best of care.

My mum moved into Spring Hill two months ago, they made her very welcome with all the staff visiting her to introduce themselves as she arrived to make her feel at home as she was a little nervous about coming here from hospital. Every time I visit my mother its lovely to see how this has continued
with every level of staff from housekeeping, catering, maintenance, laundry, activities teams and the nurses really help my mums day stay positive by bobbing in out of her room having a chat, a little banter and always offering the extra help. This has made such a difference to our family knowing that in between our visits she has so many people that care for her. I feel like I can relax at home knowing she is in safe hands!

My husband was admitted to Springhill Care Home in April. He has Alzheimer's and had previously been violent at home and in a previous care home but from the first week, he had settled in well and has not been violent or asked to go home. All due to the care and compassion from the carers.
The home
is clean, never smells and is very open and bright. Some places could do with a lick of paint but on the whole fine. My husband is treated with dignity and respect and as far as I can see that is the same for other residents too.
The home seems well run if at times short on staff but not detrimental to the care given. The staff on reception are very friendly and helpful.
The entertainment team are brilliant but have noticed not supported enough for whatever reason by residents' relatives.
I feel so blessed that I have found a place where my husband is safe and cared for in the best possible manner. I also feel that I am supported by the staff as well.

The staff at Springhill were amazing! Our mum was sent to Springhill from the local hospital for rehabilitation. The manager was extremely helpful from the start. She explained all the procedures and sorted out the correct care Mum would need. Unfortunately, Mum took a turn for the worse, but the nursing
staff took great care of her and kept her pain-free and comfortable. She died peacefully, and the staff were caring right up to the end.

From the moment I entered Springhill, the reception staff greeted me with a cheery, welcoming smile. Their help proved invaluable, and no query remained unanswered.
The accommodation is bright and spacious, with numerous places for residents to sit, share experiences, listen to music, watch TV or
just chill. Residents make full use of the meals/snacks and copious cuppas too!
My aunt was a resident of Springhill Care Home for just under 12 months. She had advanced dementia and wasn't the easiest resident to care for, but the staff always treated her with patience, dignity and respect. Each time I visited, (even when times were difficult), the staff remained 100% committed to ensuring all residents (including my aunt) felt loved and valued. They created a warm, comforting environment, and their professionalism was outstanding!
My aunt sadly passed away just over a week ago, but her final days were made very special thanks to Springhill's unswerving care and wonderfully warm hearts.

Mum has been a resident at Springhill for five years. We have always been over the moon with the care given to her. During the last couple of weeks of her life, the care and love given to her and us by all the staff were amazing. She slipped away peacefully with us by her side, supported by the care

The care my husband received was exceptionally good. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff. I was always kept up to date on his health problems. The home is very well staffed, and always, the staff were very polite and always had a smile on their faces. Spotlessly clean everywhere, food excellent,
and an enormous variety of activities for residents to participate in if they so wish. Thank you for the care you gave my husband.

The staff were amazing, and the care given was brilliant. My husband was kept clean and tidy at all times. I had no problem with the home or the care given. Sadly he passed away on the 5th of December 2021.

A dear lady, aged 63, had been in my care for 15-years but had to move into a new place with nursing care. From the first phone call to Springhill, I found the home proficient, attentive and organised. This wonderful lady, age 63, also had learning disabilities, autistic and non-verbal, the staff adapted,
were very open to listening to advice and tips and gave my precious friend security, care, attention and really tuned into her ways. Thank you to all at Springhill; the place is beautiful, and the staff are good and kind.

My mum received the most excellent care at Springhill Care Home, especially her end of life care. She was treated at all times with dignity and respect. I would especially like to mention the staff who cared for Mum on "Springwood"; their care was second to none.

It was very difficult for the staff to nurse my husband through Covid, as he had server Alzheimer's. They did it with professionalism, compassion and love. I was continually kept informed of the situation by phone and text. The support I have received since my husband's death has been very much appreciated,

My wife, who died in Springhill in January 2021, has been well cared for in the home for over 8-years. I visited daily until Covid prevented me, and was always welcomed by care staff. There has always been a strong emphasis on staff training, and this has been the cornerstone of performance. At the
end, the family had good access and was well supported by staff who know us well.

I cannot fault the care that my husband received at Springhill Care Home. He spent four months there during a very difficult time. From the front of house staff, carers with whom he formed supportive relationships - the continuity of care helped greatly as he got to know them - to the quality of nursing
care at the end was commendable. I thank them all on my and the family's behalf.

My late mum was lucky enough to get a room at Springhill in August 2017 after being neglected in a previous nursing home; Mum had dementia and Parkinson's.
Every staff member myself and my family had contact with whilst Mum lived there, treated us all with dignity and respect, from domestics, care
assistants, maintenance staff and management, Mum was looked after with love and care. Sadly Mum passed away peacefully on the 12th of March 2020, just before the dreaded Covid invaded everyone's lives. My family and I know that all the staff at Springhill did everything they could to make Mum's final days and hours as comfortable as they could possibly be, allowing us to be with her and checking in on us often. My brother and I intended to visit the home after Mum's funeral, however, Covid had other ideas and to enable everyone to stay safe we haven't had a chance to go back and offer our thanks to everyone again; we sent a card, but it didn't seem enough so thank you all and keep up your good work.
