My mum was in Stocks Hall Care Home for over 6 months, until she passed away. The staff were kind, caring and patient with her from the start. They also welcomed Mum's visitors every time we came, including our dog. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We were all treated like family. I couldn't have
wished for a better care home for Mum and have no trouble in recommending this care home.

I am very pleased that my father-in-law was looked after in this home. The staff were welcoming and kind. They treat my relative and all the family with great kindness, respect and dignity. Fantastic friendly and caring staff make this care home the perfect place for my dad. My dad is treated with respect, dignity and love. The staff seem to know him and understand him. He has settled brilliantly after struggling in a different care home. what is also amazing is how lovely everyone is
to us, his family. For example, they encouraged my 90-year-old mum to eat with my dad. This has made her day. She's so happy she can share a meal with my dad and it helps her as she doesn't need to make her own meal on those days. Thank you for everything!

My husband was transferred to Stocks Hall Burscough in November 2023, and the care he has been given by all the staff, and always with a cheery smile, is second to none. From the moment he arrived, we have both been made to feel so welcome, and nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere here is not
so much one of "being in a care home" but simply that of being "at home" with every person, as I have seen here, both residents and relatives, being cared for as if they were part of a large family and I am able to relax, in the knowledge that he is so happy and settled here.

The home looked after my dad in his last eight weeks. The managers were very supportive and the staff team very attentive throughout. Staff were particularly kind and emotionally nurturing in their approaches to him and indeed to all of the residents. My dad loved that the staff always said hello and
goodbye and took time when he asked them for support and attended to him promptly and with a smile. The ancillary staff were all equally attentive, from the domestic staff to handyperson, and part of the team in welcoming you and being personable. The nurses were supportive in reviewing his care with me and took on board my wishes. The nurses rang me regularly to keep me in the loop whenever anything changed. The managers were always very clearly on the ball and walking the floor to make sure the care was of the highest order too. It was a good feeling from our initial visits to the home through to my dad's death. Your kindness was very much appreciated.

My mum was a resident for a week during end-of-life care. The staff are amazing. I cannot think of anything they could have done differently to have made improvements. Not only did the team provide an excellent level of care for the resident, the team also took good care of the family when visiting
the resident, too. Excellent staff who really do care, and who do their job with a smile. Excellent facility, clean, well equipped. Excellent care provided by care assistants and nurses. Well managed. Only the best work there. It is hard to imagine a better place for my mum than Stocks Hall Burscough. This is the standard by which all care homes should aspire to. A big thank you to everyone who cared for our family.

My son is in Stocks Hall Care Home Burscough and my wife as well. When you need to have help and to be looked after, it is full of wonderful staff and professional people. Between them, they are saving my son's life every day. I love all of them. I know every one of them. The job they all do is a wonderful
job of looking after people. So dedicated staff at all times. Also, the food is great. The staff sometimes may feel down sometimes, but never show it. Stocks is the best. My wife passed away there, but it's where she wanted to be at the end of her life.

I recommended Stocks Hall Burscough to my nephew, due to the great care they provided, because the care was excellent from care they gave a very dear friend till end of life. My auntie only had a short time before she died, but her care was the best.
Nothing was too much, if you asked they did it.
The nurses were excellent too. Just like to add, Stocks Hall is a very kind and caring home to put your loved ones in.

My cousin has only been in Stock Hall for a few weeks. She is having nursing care. At first, she was sleeping most of the time, but now she is sometimes awake. She cannot communicate, but the staff understand her needs. She's very well looked after. She is kept clean, hydrated and nourished well.

Having only been in a care home once or twice before, I was a little apprehensive about going to visit my grandad, but all my worries were soon lifted by the amazing staff and environment. It felt homely as soon as I walked in, and I was always welcomed by staff offering any help, tea, coffee and even
meals to enjoy with my grandad too. Although he was very poorly, I did look forward to going to see him, even towards the end of his life, staff and even higher management (deputy) couldn’t do enough, even giving care! I would 100% recommend Stocks Hall Burscough as my whole family truly felt at ease, knowing he was getting high-quality care, human connection/interaction and love from all who worked in the home.

The staff are very caring and happy in their work. They are always welcoming and explain how she has been.

My mum has been in Stocks Hall for over five years. As her dementia takes hold, they have moved her from the Red Admiral floor and is now in full nursing care on the Peacock ground floor.
I cannot fault the care provided. The staff are excellent and are very caring and kind. The home is clean, well-maintained
and truly welcoming. I live a long way away, but I am so reassured and feel so comfortable knowing Mum is in the best hands as the carers feel like family too. They keep me informed and up to date with Mum's progress. Overall, I am very happy and feel we made the right choice for Mum.

Since my wife was admitted to Stocks Hall in February 2022, I have found it to be excellent. The management has been very supportive and has gone out of their way to help, including help with the (complicated) financial side of things. All the staff have been brilliant and looked after her in a compassionate,
professional and caring way and cannot be faulted.
The home is well run and well maintained, the rooms are comfortable and well managed, with the food and laundry facilities excellent.
All in all, I am more than pleased with the care my wife has been given and would recommend this care home to anybody.

Sammi Molyneux

Joined: 1991

Sammi has been employed at Stocks Hall Nursing and Care Group since 1990, initially as an Activities Co-ordinator working between Stocks Hall Residential and Stocks Hall Nursing Home but then promoted in 1991 to Manager of Stocks Hall Residential Home, Ormskirk.


In 1994 she was appointed Nurse Manager of Stocks Hall Burscough a position she still occupies. Throughout her time with Stocks Hall she has continued to develop her skills in all areas of management. She is totally in control of the Burscough Home’s individual budget and her financial understanding & performance is excellent. Her calm, professional and caring nature creates a feeling within the Home that gives Residents and relatives alike total confidence in the care they received. She motivates and supports her staff and encourages them also to develop their own skills.


The company has a strong management team, of which she is a highly valued member and she is happy to support her colleagues whenever necessary. Sammi is particularly skilled in dealing with any grievance or disciplinary matter being thorough and extremely fair; she will only come to a conclusion once all the evidence has been sifted through.


All in-house training for Customer Care and First Aid are provided by her and the feed-back from her courses is very good.
