Mum was transferred from another care home 18 months ago, initially to the dementia unit, then six months ago to the nursing unit, as her needs changed. The care she has received has been amazing, always treating Mum with dignity, respect and compassion through some difficult times. The atmosphere is
always positive, and the staff are smiling and passionate about their work. It's a difficult decision when choosing a care home, but I would recommend Stock Hall without hesitation.

Dad has been in Stocks since last June 2022 after a stroke. The care he has received is second to none, he is well looked after, and there are plenty of carers. Dad needs lots of care which he gets on a daily basis. The staff are just lovely and always look after us when we visit, offering cups of tea
and biscuits. Dad needs a special diet, and the chef/cook does an amazing job, and the food always looked well presented, and Dad never leaves any!
Dad was quite poorly a few weeks back, and the staff contacted us straightaway and kept us informed; they couldn’t do enough for him.
We, as a family, were very upset when Dad had to go in a home, but he is so well cared for; we couldn’t ask for more - it gives us peace of mind. Everyone, including management, is very approachable. Would definitely recommend Stocks.

When my very special friend was finally discharged from the hospital into the home, the relief to both him, his wife, his son and all visitors was instantly noticed. At last, he was receiving the loving care and dignity that he deserved. I cannot thank the staff enough, from the management team to every
single member of staff; they are all so dedicated and proud of the care they so skillfully give. They supported his wife throughout his stay. I cannot commend the home enough. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

On the third of April 2023, my husband was transferred to Stocks Gall Care Home from the infirmary, where he died very peacefully on Sunday the seventh of May. Throughout his stay with you, he received excellent care both physically and mentally and was always treated with respect and empathy, for which
I will always be very grateful. I was able to visit and stay with him in the privacy of his own room, and your care was also extended to me and my extended family. Thank you so much, all of you, I will always be grateful to the staff of Stocks Hall, and you should all be very proud of yourself for the high standard of care you give.

Fantastic care home. The staff were amazing with my stepfather and went out of their way to include him in all the activities. He really enjoyed the wonderful food provided.
Management is very good at keeping families informed.
Would highly recommend it.

Lovely staff, couldn't do enough for Dad and our family. Nursed back to health from a poor care home.
Staff went above and beyond their duties and were so welcoming on every visit. So lovely to see him out of bed and participating in the home's activities and regular entertainment.
The manager and
deputy were so helpful from enquiry through to admission and were always on hand to speak to. Both were very hands-on and involved with his care.
As a family, we couldn't recommend this home enough.

I cannot commend Stocks Hall nursing home enough for the way they looked after my late father. My dad could not have been cared for in a more compassionate and dignified manner during his final weeks of life. The nursing staff absolutely loved and cherished my father, and did everything they could to
attend to his every need, including being with him at the end. All that remains for me to say is thank you for the way you looked after Dad and the support you have also given to his family during this very sad time.
Thank you. Your care was second to none.

My husband has been in the nursing unit in Stocks Hall for a year now. The staff are all exceptional. The care and attention to detail are far superior to other care homes he has been in. The atmosphere is really homely from the moment you walk through the door. I feel he is safe, and all his needs
are attended to with great dignity. His food has to be individually prepared, and the standard is very high. The management is very approachable and helpful if he has any personal issues.

Mum has been at Stocks Hall Burscouugh for over seven months now after moving from the hospital with a spinal injury, which has confined her to a wheelchair. During all my visits, the staff have been very nice and do keep me informed of any changes with Mum's condition. Although I think her room is
a little small for the size of her wheelchair, overall, the staff do an amazing job with her.

We were so lucky to have found this forever home for our Dad. The standard of care is above and beyond what we could have hoped for. Just to see the smile on my dads face when a member of the staff speaks to him is lovely, this is so genuine, to him, they are his family; what more could you ask for.
My dad is always clean-shaven and dressed smartly. Staff have so much time for us as family members, and you never feel like you are asking too many questions, and greet with a smile. We cannot thank the staff enough for all that do for our lovely Dad. Thank you, Stocks Hall Care Home Burscough.

After a very difficult settling in period when my wife suffered sickness, discomfort and strangers she gradually began to feel more comfortable thanks to the care and attention of the staff.
She is still suffering from her problems she is in a much more settled frame of mind.

The team really enjoy their jobs, and this is reflected in the care and kindness they give Mum. She is cared for, and this gives great peace of mind. The staff make adjustments to meet Mum's changing needs, and visits have been so nice now we can sit with Mum in her room.

I honestly can not fault the care provided to my grandad. He arrived a broken and unrecognisable man after an awful experience with another provider. The staff here treated him with dignity and respect, he was an individual and the care provided to him helped him to thrive. He was back on his feet and
his witty personality was back. Throughout the time he was there the team kept us up to date and nothing was too much to ask. As a family, we made the decision to bring him home in May due to the Covid pandemic but this would not have been the success it was without the care and rehabilitation provided by the care home. I wouldn't hesitate to allow you to care for a family member again. Thank you.

My husband was admitted to Stocks Hall, Burscough on 2nd July 2018. He was transferred from a nursing home in Southport. He was settled in very quickly and responds well to staff. I am glad that we decided to move him, as he seems more content and is being very well looked after.

The staff do their very best for my dad. They always listen to my requests for anything to make dad's last days comfortable.

Sammi Molyneux

Job Title: Manager

Joined: 1991

Sammi has been employed at Stocks Hall Nursing and Care Group since 1990, initially as an Activities Co-ordinator working between Stocks Hall Residential and Stocks Hall Nursing Home but then promoted in 1991 to Manager of Stocks Hall Residential Home, Ormskirk.


In 1994 she was appointed Nurse Manager of Stocks Hall Burscough a position she still occupies. Throughout her time with Stocks Hall she has continued to develop her skills in all areas of management. She is totally in control of the Burscough Home’s individual budget and her financial understanding & performance is excellent. Her calm, professional and caring nature creates a feeling within the Home that gives Residents and relatives alike total confidence in the care they received. She motivates and supports her staff and encourages them also to develop their own skills.


The company has a strong management team, of which she is a highly valued member and she is happy to support her colleagues whenever necessary. Sammi is particularly skilled in dealing with any grievance or disciplinary matter being thorough and extremely fair; she will only come to a conclusion once all the evidence has been sifted through.


All in-house training for Customer Care and First Aid are provided by her and the feed-back from her courses is very good.
