My dad went into Green Park Care Home in January 2018 as it was no longer possible to care for him at home.
During his residency, he was safe, warm, cared for and loved by his carers. The food was hot and more than adequate. My only concern was staffing levels, these did not seem correct for the level
of care some of the residents required. Standards are improving all the time.

My dad was in the Dementia + unit, it is bright, airy, clean and modern and the staff are excellent, always friendly, caring, understanding and flexible. The residents are well looked after and there is the right balance of activities and places to socialise as well as places to sit quietly.

Very little stimulation on this department for residents. I have never witnessed any activities going on for them. Have found my sister in her room with the door closed and her screaming with her legs out of the bed in a very distressed condition and her food just put on the bed for her to eat and drink
on several occasions. It is very upsetting. Staff always seem to be on mobile phones. Broken furniture in her room and in need of decoration.

My Mum is well cared for in the home. I know that she is safe and most of her needs are being met. The staff are lovely with her and both Mum and the family have made friends with them. Mum does get unsettled when agency staff are called in as she likes familiar faces to know her. She also struggles
with some of the food on offer. Overall the family are very happy with the home.

Staff are lovely and caring. I am sure my mother is being well looked after. However, there are some aspects of the home which could be improved, like the laundry facilities (not losing things), keeping track of hearing aids and the general tiredness of the decor. Fortunately, due to my mother's condition,
she is probably unaware of these short-comings.

My father in law came here a year ago and has been treated very well and all his needs met, he has been included in all aspects of home life and has a well-balanced choice of meals. He joins in with all activities, he's put weight on and is kept clean shaven and respected. Family always kept up to date
with what's going on.

I have always found the staff very helpful and I am completely satisfied with all aspect of care that my mum receives.
The food and accommodation are of a high standard. I attend the home at least five days a week and see staff interacting with most of the residents in the lounge during my visits.
I
am very happy with the home and care and I would and have recommended it to other people.

When mum was admitted to the care home nearly 12 months ago she was suffering from Alzheimer's' s Disease and not very well. She did take a dip and after a number of weeks she went further downhill to the extent that I didn't think she would be there long. All the staff on Cavendish Unit were marvellous
with her, requesting a doctor's presence and so on. They asked me if they could organise a medication review for mum to which I agreed. The doctor took mum off some of her tablets and almost immediately she began to see a different woman appear. She still has Alzheimer's but she is now more alert, her mobility is far better and she will converse with other people. Without the staff working beyond their limit I don't think mum would be alive today. I have nothing but praise and admiration for the staff who I have come into contact with.
