My mum is always clean and so is her room. I've not a bad word against any of the staff. Always friendly and they keep me informed on what is going on with my mum's treatment and medication, as soon as it's going on.

Maureen thank you so much for your kind words. It is always a pleasure for the staff to look after our residents. I will pass on your kind review to the staff.

Meadow View Care Home is a place that reflects a high level of care.
Staff are professional and sensitive to my mother’s individual care plan, ensuring that her needs are met.
It’s a place that nurtures individuals with respect and dignity.
The home is clean, friendly and welcoming working together

I would recommend this home to anyone who is in the process of looking at care homes for family members in similar situations and circumstances.

My Auntie is in Meadow View Care Home in Warrington. I can not praise the staff enough for the care and dignity they give to my auntie. When we visit the staff are very friendly, nothing is to much trouble. I am a full-time carer for my mum and dad. Knowing that my Auntie is being cared for has taken
a lot of pressure of me. I cannot thank them enough.

The care staff are all very friendly to visitors to the home, this is important to us because it is stressful and worrying when you place a relative into a care home. They answer all questions and deal with any concerns quickly and efficiently. Above all, they treat all the residents with respect and
look after their needs in a very gentle manner. Their job can be difficult by the very nature of the illness but I have always found them to be sympathetic and reassuring often in very difficult circumstances.

My mum has been living at Meadow View for 18 months. In that time she has received lots of great care from all of the staff. The home is friendly and warm. I go on a daily basis to visit Mum, so I see how hard all the team at Meadow View work to ensure all residents are respected and valued as individuals.

My Grandma came to this home initially for respite but has settled in so well she now lives here permanently. She has a wonderful life at this special home, the bedrooms are more than adequate, but what makes it extra special is the activities. It really is non-stop gardening, painting, flower arranging
and trips. The care is OUTSTANDING. This home actually cares. This home has staff that go above and beyond. The carers are always smiling and chatting to residents. Housekeeping are constantly cleaning. You're greeted at the reception with a big smile, the manager was very professional/approachable when I had concerns regarding my Grandma's health recently. She personally ensured my Grandma saw a doctor that day. I can’t recommend Meadowview enough. I visit a few times a week and it always feels welcoming. Yes, there are a few areas in need of decorating but don’t let it distract you from the charm and care of this home. I feel so comforted knowing my Grandma is well looked after and happy.

My mother has been a resident at Meadow View for just over 3 years. During this time the staff have provided her with a safe, supportive and caring environment. I have particularly appreciated the communication which helps us to understand the complex nature of Mum's dementia. The meals at Meadow View
are varied and prepared on the premises. Mum thoroughly enjoys her food even though she can't always remember what she's eaten! A lot of thought is put into the activities programme and residents are regularly taken out for the day. Recently Mum went out for afternoon tea and has visited Knowsley Safari Park.

I am impressed with the new manager. She has a clear understanding of the needs of elderly residents suffering with dementia and is very focused on providing a high standard of care whilst making herself available for family members.

I would fully recommend Meadow View to other families in the difficult position of having to consider residential care for their loved ones.

I have worked in the NHS and also Care Homes for over 30 years. I am extremely impressed with the professional, caring and kindly approach that all of the staff have. I am also impressed that humour is a big part of the caring process. My father is very happy here. Thank you.

When I first visited Meadow View I was distraught at the fact my Dad had to reside here. It was the first time I had ever been inside such a place. After visiting another care home I came to realise how lovely Meadow View really was. All my doubts where quickly diminished. I couldn't ask for a more
caring staff and management who every day go that extra mile to ensure that the residents are happy and their needs are met. The food is excellent, it is a hive of activity, no time to be bored or lonely in here. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Meadow View to anyone's loved one who needs this kind of care.

I'm very happy with the care my mother has received at the home since she moved in earlier this year. The staff are friendly, helpful and caring and I feel so much better now that I know she is safe and looked after as she was really struggling living on her own. I'd very happily recommend the care
and service delivered at Meadow View.

Meadow View is an excellent care home.
Most importantly, all of the staff really CARE. They genuinely connect with the residents and are proactive in making sure their needs, both physical and emotional, are fully met. There is tenderness and humour in equal and appropriate measure.
Meadow View is
an absolute hive of activity - no isolation or boredom here.
Visitors are welcomed at any time - and every visit gives confidence and reassurance that the move into Meadow View was the right decision.

My mother has been a resident for 5 years. She has always been treated extremely well. I have no complaints as to care and support given to my mum. Staff are always very courteous to my mum and me. I am made to feel very welcome when I visit. I am concerned about the aesthetics of the home but I understand
the new management team have this in hand so hopefully soon the decor, furnishings and garden will be greatly improved.

As soon as I entered Meadow View Care Home for the very first time, I was so impressed but its bright, clean and cheerful interior and the pleasant atmosphere. I thought this is a nice homely "hotel" and I would like to be somewhere like this if I was unable to look after myself. The nurses are so gently,
loving and caring. Perhaps newer chairs and cushions would be an improvement? It's a lovely place.

My mum has been a resident for 6 months. I feel relieved that I found Meadow View. Staff and manager are so helpful when I am there, my mum is safe and most of all happy. I am always invited for a meal which always looks lovely. Mum has even put weight on since she has been there. I was always nervous
about care homes but Meadow View has changed that.

Although staff are busy they try really hard to give residents individual attention. Daily activities are given to residents to encourage interaction within the residents and staff. External outings are given - walks, travels to attractions such as Blackpool Zoo, Blue Planet, etc. Some residents enter
bedrooms of others randomly.

Meadow View is a pleasant care home. The staff are friendly and treat the residents with dignity. My concern is that my aunt's clothes, shoes, slippers and wash bag items have all gone missing since she moved there in November 2017. Even though the staff are repeatedly told about this many of the items
are not found making us reluctant to buy her new things. All her items did have her room number on them.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.576)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.576) out of 10 for Meadowview Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.676 for Meadowview Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (81 Excellents x 5) + (20 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.676

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Meadowview Care Home is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 41 registered maximum number of service users is 8.2, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
