The Old Vicarage & The Willows Care Home has just been refurbished and is undoubtedly amongst the finest in the region for resident comfort and quality.

It is situated on the outskirts of Burtonwood village in a quiet, rural location but is less than a 5-minute drive from the M62. It is a versatile home that provides high quality, personalised care packages for a wide range of long-term or guest residents.

This is a 59 bed home with two distinct and separate facilities: The Old Vicarage is an impressive and charming listed building, beautifully restored and refurbished to the highest standard. The Old Vicarage & The Willows Care Home is designed for both residential and nursing clients, with most bedrooms having en-suites.

The home has developed a great reputation with the Regulators and the Local Authority for providing excellent care in a wonderful environment.

The Willows Unit is a purpose built 25-bed extension especially designed for those experiencing varying degrees of dementia. It is a wonderful modern facility which has many specialist features designed to best support the residents living with dementia. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and the home has two lounges, an activities room and a large conservatory with access to extensive private landscaped gardens.

When I visited my Mum today she was having afternoon tea with the other residents. It was a lovely atmosphere. The staff organise some super afternoons and everyone enjoys themselves. It is a pleasure to visit my Mum. I would like to thank all the staff for making my Mums life comfortable and for giving

From walking through the door the management and staff are caring and empathetic both to the resident and the family. Both my parents have been in care homes but the Old Vicarage really does feel like mum's home. The staff couldn't do more for the residents it really feels like one big family. I really

My father was placed in this home following a hip fracture. As it was the far side of Warrington it was inconvenient. However, I rapidly came to realise the care was excellent, so when we had the option to move him, we didn't. I always felt welcome when visiting. It was never a problem to speak to staff
about Dad and indeed they frequently offered information and updates. All the staff got on well with each other and the atmosphere was homely. Even admin and cleaning staff knew residents by name and interacted with them. The entertainers were excellent - they identified ball games as Dad's favourite activity, the only problem here was there was only two of them! Others involved in Dad's care independently volunteered the information that staff were helpful and knowledgeable.

I visited my mum this evening, my mum looked beautiful she was glowing and talking to me (she never usually speaks to me) I was so happy that I cried that my mum was looking amazing.

After moving here recently from a care home that didn't have nursing care, my mother-in-law has perked up considerably and looks 20 years younger. She is getting much more involved with other guests and is starting to enjoy life more.

Without question one of the finest care homes in my opinion. The staff are a credit to the care profession - highly trained, kind, empathetic and superb in all they do. My husband was admitted to The Old Vicarage in September. My family and I are delighted with the care my husband is receiving. The nursing staff and carers are wonderful with my husband. His room is very nice and overlooks the fields. The food is excellent and also the activities are really fun and

I feel my mum gets good care in a safe environment. The staff are helpful and courteous and the home is clean and nursing care is good. I have left the management rating blank as I haven't met the current manager. The staff turnover, particularly at management level, is very high. I do know the deputy
manager. There are many issues with the hoist equipment and lack of batteries - this can be a problem for Mum. The activities are excellent and there are many opportunities.

Mum is one of the longest residents at the Old Vicarage being eight years in dementia. They have their ups and downs like most care homes, but their care for my mum over these years has astounded me. They are not just there for mum but families too. When your family member goes into the care system
you can feel locked out. I can honestly say, apart from the covid period, they have and still do, support me with Mum. The care staff go out of their way to help you and will talk you through any stage. Always professional.

My aunt has spent the last 8 years in The Old Vicarage, on the Willow's Unit. During this time she has always been shown great respect and cared for by the staff. She has always had her needs met. If I have any queries, they are dealt with quickly. My aunt's care is discussed regularly and I am contacted
before any changes take place. There have been lots of activities for the residents and pre-covid, these often included invitations to the residents' families. The staff are caring and make the residents feel part of a large family. Thank you.
