The Old Vicarage & The Willows Care Home has just been refurbished and is undoubtedly amongst the finest in the region for resident comfort and quality.

It is situated on the outskirts of Burtonwood village in a quiet, rural location but is less than a 5-minute drive from the M62. It is a versatile home that provides high quality, personalised care packages for a wide range of long-term or guest residents.

This is a 59 bed home with two distinct and separate facilities: The Old Vicarage is an impressive and charming listed building, beautifully restored and refurbished to the highest standard. The Old Vicarage & The Willows Care Home is designed for both residential and nursing clients, with most bedrooms having en-suites.

The home has developed a great reputation with the Regulators and the Local Authority for providing excellent care in a wonderful environment.

The Willows Unit is a purpose built 25-bed extension especially designed for those experiencing varying degrees of dementia. It is a wonderful modern facility which has many specialist features designed to best support the residents living with dementia. Just wanted to say how pleased and grateful I am for the care being given to my sister by all the staff. They are also lovely to me when I visit. It's been a rollercoaster ride but my sister is now settled and happy. I feel like I have been given a gold clock and am finally free from anxiety I first
felt when she came to The Old Vicarage.

My dad has been at the Old Vicarage for 15 months now, and the whole family still feel like we have won the lottery of nursing homes - it is absolutely fantastic. The staff are so dedicated, and warm and loving towards the residents, treating each and every one of them with the utmost respect. The
food is home cooked and always looks and smells delicious. Having looked around other homes before placing him here, it was common to see residents sitting in lounges with no staff present, but this is never the case at the Old Vic - the staff are always visible, and any questions thoroughly answered. There's a great chemistry amongst the staff, and the atmosphere is always light and cheery. The staff will go beyond the call of duty, always keep the family updated of any changes, and if the Care Plan is requested at any time, it is produced immediately - they are very transparent. Placing a loved one into a home is one of the most difficult decisions ever, but we certainly chose well.

The Old Vicarage exudes a homely atmosphere, all residents are cared for to an extremely high standard. Staff are never too busy to chat to residents and families and they go above and beyond to ensure life is comfortable and the residents remain happy. We have great peace of mind knowing that my mother's
welfare and medical needs are addressed, she is only a few minutes away from us and manages to visit our house and go on excursions with us regularly. It is the best scenario we could have hoped for.

My great uncle is so happy at The Old Vicarage.
The staff are amazingly friendly and he is so fond of them all. They take care of his every need and keep us up to date with the aspects of his care continuously.


I love that the home has access to a minibus each month with regular trips out make all

the difference!

I don't visit Grandad that often due to University commitments, but when I do I am always offered a warm welcome.
I can ring Grandad anytime I wish and the staff are very helpful assisting him to speak to me.
Grandad is very settled and happy at the home.

What a lovely warm and welcoming place. It's just like visiting Nanna's house.
You open the door and you are greeted with laughter and banter and that is continued throughout the building with the rest of the staff.


I love that I can get myself a coffee too.....or a cappuccino, mocha latte.....we

are a bit spoiled, just like we would be visiting nanna's own home.


The staff are kind, caring and compassionate and nothing is ever too much trouble. As a family, we have no doubt that The Old Vicarage is the right choice for us.

My wife's uncle came to this home approx three months ago and I would 100% recommend it to anyone as when I have visited/spoken to him, he is always telling me about how nice the staff are and the things he has been doing in the home, such as quizzes and entertainment nights. They recently had a cheese
and wine evening with a violinist and he absolutely loved it, he cannot thank the staff enough and him being happy, makes us happy.

The support and care shown by the management and staff at The Old Vicarage is excellent. They have cared for and supported my dad since his admission in July. It is a difficult transition to place your loved one into a care home but the staff have made the transition as smooth as possible.
I wouldn't

My dad lived at The Old Vicarage for two and a half years until he recently passed away. I am so pleased I chose for him to live here, the care he has received has been second to none. All aspects of The Old Vicarage are excellent and the staff are exceptionally dedicated and genuinely caring - it's
a lovely homely atmosphere. The food provided is good quality and plentiful, my dad's medical needs have been closely monitored to keep him in the best health possible despite him being late stage Alzheimer's. There are daily activities and regular outings and events and all the staff get enthusiastically involved. I have been kept well informed of every aspect of my dad's health and care. I know the staff will really miss my dad and they all came out to wave him off as his funeral left from here which meant the world to our family..... in fact these lovely carers had become like extended family and I will always appreciate their loving care of my beloved dad.

Having made the decision to place my dad in a care home and move him from one area or another, closer to me, I knew that I had made the right choice in The Old Vicarage from day one. All the staff are dedicated, kind, considerate and caring to all residents regardless of the reasons behind their residency.
The
Old Vicarage is the "residents home" and not a place of work, the evidence of which I see in my dad each time I visit. He looks so well cared for and has started to smile again!!

My Aunty is a resident following a massive stroke and right from the start we were treated well.
The staff, management and administrator were very accommodating and they attend to our concerns as family members equally as they look after her with love, affection and dignity.

My nan has been at The Old Vicarage for around a year give or take.
It's always such a pleasure to visit. The home prides itself on being friendly. There is a lot of lighthearted banter from the minute you walk through the door.
They are always looking for something different to do. The recent garden
competition has been great fun. The staff are so competitive and "house proud". It had us all laughing. My favourite debate of the year has definitely been the Yankee candle flavours....sorry ladies but the ginger one did smell like curry haha.
Because of the friendliness of the staff, we always feel at ease when discussing my nan's care and know that she is in safe, competent hands. This is not a care home....it is a "HOME". You should all be proud.

When my brother was admitted initially and for some time afterwards, I was sometimes disappointed by certain aspects of the care home (laundry problems, articles of my brother's clothing going missing, lack of attention to his personal grooming etc) For some time now, however, I have noticed significant

The care my mum receives here is excellent. The nurses and carers always treat her with care, compassion and dignity. The care shown to the family is also excellent. The nurses always take the time to keep you informed of mums condition, treatment and participation in events, they are always warm and
welcoming.
The staff took time and an interest in finding out about who mum is and was so they can engage her, talking with her about her interests and people who are important to her.
Even ensuring she has birthday cards for families birthdays, which means so much.
I am so pleased that mum is at this care home and getting the very best of care.

The Old Vicarage Nursing and Residential Care Centre is the best home around Warrington. My uncle was a resident there for four years and he received excellent care. My neighbour is now a resident and has nothing but praise for the staff, meals and bedrooms. The staff are very friendly food plenty and
excellent and the care they give to residents is excellent.

I am a mum of 3 and have been married for 6 years. I love the outdoors and hike as often as I can.

I have proudly been part of the care sector since 2008, and for the most part, have been in a senior role; for a long-time supporting children and adults with Autism. My passion for care and ensuring outstanding provision alongside person-centred care goes for residents, staff, and families alike – we are one huge family and team who can achieve anything we set our sights on.
