The Abbeys is a family-owned, purpose-built care home providing residential, dementia, respite, and daycare services that support people by providing the care you, and your family needs. Abbeys experienced team is dedicated to delivering care with compassion, empathy, and dignity, creating an environment where relatives and friends can stay connected with their loved ones.

The home offers a relaxed, community atmosphere with spacious, bright, living and dining areas. The Abbeys offers well-furnished rooms, where people can add their personal touches and bring their home luxuries with them. The rooms offer adjustable beds, TV, and telephone connectivity, and free Wi-Fi.

Keeping active is important to people's health and wellbeing, therefore there is a varied programme of daily activities and events and an in-house hairdressing salon. Outdoors people can relax in the garden and patio area, perfect for enjoying the views of the nearby allotments or socialising in the fresh air.

The Abbeys is person-centered, and everyone living within the home has a personalised care plan which is created specifically to their wishes and needs. These plans are regularly reviewed and updated, with the involvement of healthcare professionals and family representatives.

Very caring, happy staff who always have time for the residents and relatives. The Christmas activities were truly special for the residents and visitors. The staff go the extra mile, whatever their job. Many thanks to all the staff.

The staff are amazing, so generous, caring and thoughtful and always have time for residents and visitors. They have always kept us fully updated with anything to do with our Mum, but most importantly, our Mum is settled, happy and we know well cared for, we can't ask for more!

Always a warm welcome from all staff at The Abbeys Care Home. Mum has been a resident here for many years and has always been very well looked after. Staff go above and beyond in their duty of care to Mum. We are kept well informed about mum's care and staff are always more than happy to answer any
questions we may have. The Abbeys has a friendly and warm atmosphere and the staff are a credit to the company.

I must say that when my mother was diagnosed with onset dementia and that she would no longer be able to remain at home, this was the hardest time for us, having to place Mam in to a residential home, but thanks to the home and the care from the brilliant staff, they have made Mam so welcome and she
is so settled and well cared for. They don't only think about the resident, they also include family and are always there. Staff are very pleasant, polite and welcoming when we visit. Once again, staff at The Abbeys, well done gang, keep up the great work. Many, many thanks for the care that you give my mam and other residents.

What an amazing care home. The new manager of the home and the staff go above and beyond to help the residents. The home feels warm and welcoming with the new decor she has introduced to the home. It feels comforting knowing my relative is in a loving environment, which they now call their home. Thank

I used to come and have my lunch at the Abbeys with my partner, before Covid-19. All the staff at the Abbeys are lovely and very polite. A member of staff always makes me a cup of tea and the senior carer is also great.

Dad came to the Abbeys for respite and settled well. Staff are very helpful and always happy to help. My worries were quickly put aside on our first visit. Dad looks better and happy. I've phoned a few times the manager is there to answer questions and supporting. Dad enjoys the food, he's happy so

My brother looked for a place for his sister in May this year. My sister-in-law could no longer be cared for in her own home. It was a difficult choice for my husband but the staff made the move day smooth and gave us all the reassurance we needed. The seniors on duty were extremely helpful and gave
us all the information we needed. We've visited twice and always feel welcome by all.

My aunt has settled so well in the EMI unit. The last few weeks at her home were very stressful but she has fitted into life here so well. The family are so happy she is enjoying her new home and her appetite is back - she is eating everything they give her. The staff have been amazing throughout the
whole transition period. They are a credit to the Abbeys.

My mum has been in care at The Abbeys for three years. She has not been in good health. The love and care she has received have been exceptional from the staff. Although she at times, has been frustrated with her health, she has felt safe and in the knowledge that she was not alone. She loves her carers,

My mother-in-law had to go into emergency respite in January 2021, then 3 weeks later, we had to make the decision to make her a full-time resident.
After caring for my mother-in-law for a number of years, it was a very hard decision to make, especially with not being able to go in and view any care
homes. The manager was fantastic, she went out of her way to make the transition run calmly. She even rang over the weekend in her own time to check-in and reassure us that all was well.
We are now coming into our 3rd month of her being a resident of The Abbeys, and we can not thank the staff enough. They go out of their way to run events she will enjoy.
Every window visit (due to restrictions), we have smiles and lots of stories from the staff.
Thank you to all staff at The Abbeys.

I’m Jamie, Deputy Manager at The Abbeys care home in Rotherham and I've been in the care sector for more than 15 years. For me, one of the biggest keys to providing amazing care is communication. I make sure that our community thrives by building authentic relationships with colleagues, care partners, residents, and their loved ones. We know that being part of our residents' lives is a real privilege. We make sure they have good, nutritious food in a happy and positive environment with plenty of fun activities, entertainment, and events to look forward to!
