The Abbeys is a family-owned, purpose-built care home providing residential, dementia, respite, and daycare services that support people by providing the care you, and your family needs. Abbeys experienced team is dedicated to delivering care with compassion, empathy, and dignity, creating an environment where relatives and friends can stay connected with their loved ones.

The home offers a relaxed, community atmosphere with spacious, bright, living and dining areas. The Abbeys offers well-furnished rooms, where people can add their personal touches and bring their home luxuries with them. The rooms offer adjustable beds, TV, and telephone connectivity, and free Wi-Fi.

Keeping active is important to people's health and wellbeing, therefore there is a varied programme of daily activities and events and an in-house hairdressing salon. Outdoors people can relax in the garden and patio area, perfect for enjoying the views of the nearby allotments or socialising in the fresh air.

The Abbeys is person-centered, and everyone living within the home has a personalised care plan which is created specifically to their wishes and needs. These plans are regularly reviewed and updated, with the involvement of healthcare professionals and family representatives.

Before arriving at The Abbeys, Mum was subdued and unsettled. I am delighted to say that she now presents as happy, sociable and communicative - a complete transformation. From the first to the most recent contact with all of the staff at The Abbeys, I have been greeted and treated as if I belonged,
and this has been extremely reassuring. I cannot compliment the staff at The Abbeys highly enough for the wonderful job they are doing and the consequent improvement in Mum.

My mother came to The Abbeys needing respite care after a fall at home. Mum had been very poorly and after a stay in the hospital; she was very withdrawn. As soon as she arrived at The Abbeys, she was greeted by very professional, caring and friendly staff. After a few days, she was a completely different
person. She expressed how happy she was and enjoyed mixing in the communal lounge, and the change in her was amazing. I cannot thank the staff enough for their wonderful care and attention; the family are very grateful.

Every effort has been made to deal with deafness, sight and mobility problems. Care is excellent and a stroke was rapidly dealt with meaning maximum recovery possibilities. Carers and manager have been patient and understanding to overcome certain personality difficulties despite her resistance and
the unusualness of her background. I recommend anyone seeking a really caring creative team. The home has dealt with the Covid-19 crisis very well and kept residents safe despite serious problems.

My brother-in-law has been a resident at The Abbeys for over six months now, and it was the best move he could possibly have made.
He was very lonely and hardly spoke to anyone in person during the week, now it's like he has a whole new family.
When we speak to him, he talks about all his new friends
and the activities they do during the day.
He says he doesn't even miss the pub as they have a pub night and he gets to have a beer!
The staff have always been friendly and have always kept us informed. Nothing is too much for the staff and management.

All staff are friendly and caring, my friend is very happy in the home and the staff let me talk to him via phone and video calls, throughout covid lockdown. My friend's food is lovely and the home also got a pool table for residents to use.

Greeted with a smile, such a warm atmosphere when we visit. The staff are very polite and helpful. My friend looks happy and tells me she enjoys her days. I cannot wish for better. I am so glad she's found a warm home which is caring and at such a difficult time too. Well done to the staff.

My mum was admitted to The Abbeys in October last year. The home and the staff present a warm and friendly environment.
My mum tells me that she is happy to stay which means a lot to me as it was a hard decision for me to make to place her in any home.
There is always something going off in the
home with the activity coordinators taking the lead and ensuring the events are suited for all the residents.
Staff are patient and kind and have been wonderful during lockdown, the newsletter helped to stay in touch with the home and the set up of Skype was really beneficial.
All the staff are very caring and approachable at any time of the day and always have a smile for the residents and visitors, thus creating a calm and relaxed environment. All the residents appear to be treated as individuals and staff try hard to ensure that the residents' personal and social well being is met in the best way. The home is open to suggestions from relatives and residents to improve service.

From visiting my brother I have observed how kind and caring the staff are. The home is very clean and tidy and unlike other homes, I have visited has no unpleasant smells. Plenty of activities. My brother says food is excellent.

I was required by my consultant to have a period of respite care, this was to help me settle into new courses of treatment for my Parkinson's disease with tablets and injections for a period of 4 weeks. On arrival at The Abbeys, I was welcomed by the assistant manager and the senior carer who showed
us around the premises, rooms, showers, bedrooms and just about all the service areas. Whilst at respite at The Abbeys, the whole staff welcomed me in, from the jobs, activities, medical dispensing or any other service they may be providing.
While here at The Abbeys my family decided to make this my new home.

Mum has been in Abbey's Care Home for 11 years, 6 years in E.M.I and 5 in residential. Very happy with Mum's care. The staff are always friendly, helpful and very caring.

This is the second care home my mother has been in. Abbeys is a wonderful homely place with carers who adhere well to her needs. Activities and occasional entertainment are good and very welcome stimulation for my mother who is immobile and has dementia. Happy we made the move to Abbeys.

I stayed here for one week while my daughter was on holiday. I was made very welcome by staff and residents. I was very well looked after and cared for. The food was very good and above all, I was always treated with dignity. I made lots of new friends, both staff and residents and would highly recommend

I cannot praise the care staff, cleaners, reception and management enough for the excellent support and care they gave my mum and myself.
Although she was only here a short time, respect and dignity were paramount and standards were excellent.
The compassion and kindness when she died made me feel
