Ladyfield House is situated in a peaceful rural location overlooking the Yorkshire countryside. Ladyfield is a 48 bedded residential home providing care for the elderly and people living with dementia.

Tasty homemade meals are prepared daily by the home's own cooks, residents can choose to enjoy meals in the dining rooms or in their own room if preferred. All individual dietary needs are catered for.

At Ladyfield, they recognise the importance of recreational activities and have a dedicated activities coordinator who plans each day based on the choice and preferences of the residents. They also have a secure garden for residents to enjoy.

All staff made my father-in-law very welcome and they genuinely cared about him. He was well looked after and they were all sad to see him come home.

My mum came for a 2 week respite break and it was wonderful! The room was lovely. The staff are the most caring bunch of people (my mum said they were angels!).
Knowing she was so well cared for helped us recharge while we were away.
She loved the food (has gained a bit of weight). She enjoyed the
company of both staff and the other residents. She is looking forward to her next stay.

Ladyfield House provided an excellent level of care in a warm and friendly environment. It is situated in a rural setting with many rooms having a view of the surrounding countryside and outside communal areas.

Very caring and friendly staff. Always pleased to accommodate the requests of both the resident and family. Wonderful individual care given and excellent medical attention. Personal hygiene always taken care of. Not too large an establishment that the individual needs are neglected, this also means
residents know each other and in many cases their family members.

My husband and I regularly make the 200 mile round trip to visit mum in Ladyfield House where she has been resident for 18 months. Now that non essential travel and visits are not permitted we are completely reliant on telephone calls to check on mum, whilst not wanting to overburden staff with persistent
calls. So, how lovely, this week to receive an Activities Newsletter from Ladyfield which even had a picture of mum in it! A big thank you to the Activities team; you're amazing. Please keep up the good work.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of the team at Ladyfields Nursing Home for their outstanding care which was shown to my mum and my family over the past year. My mum resided at this care home following a bad fall at her home which resulted in her being hospitalised for
3 months and losing almost 3 stone in weight. The staff worked together to provide a well balanced diet and gradually my mum put her weight back on.
Nothing was too much trouble and each time we visited it felt as though we were visiting her at home.
My mum had dementia and although she didn't know who I was most of the time knew the staff and loved them all equally. They made sure to involve her in different activities and most of all was treated with respect.
Sadly my mum passed away on Monday 6 January very peacefully and with dignity and this is all down to the unsung heroes of this care home who have shown nothing but love care and compassion during this very difficult time.

My 88-year-old mother is usually very independent but required respite care at Ladyfield House after falling and breaking her wrist. Over the years I've been in several 'similar' facilities, both with her and older relatives - but I cannot begin to describe how different Ladyfield's is. From the moment
we arrived - at 11.30 at night - the standard of care here has blown me away. The time taken to make each resident happy and comfortable is incredible. The dignity with which they are treated is like nowhere else. Time is even taken to develop individual meal choices. Activities are arranged regularly, but mostly the kindness and patience of the staff is beyond compare.

I fell and broke my wrist so I could not stay at home. I am staying Ladyfields until I can take care of myself again. I am very comfortable and happy here and everybody is very kind. The food is very good and I will definitely leave heavier than when I arrived. I like that they have activities for us
and when it was lovely and sunny we sat outside. Thank you for looking after me.

My mother-in-law was a resident at this home for a short period of time before her death. During her residency the care she received was excellent. On her arrival, she was welcomed warmly by members of staff. Visiting, we were immediately struck by the lovely atmosphere within the home. The staff were
so kind, helpful and friendly - interacting with residents continually, responding to requests and queries in a pleasant manner. Laughter and singing could be heard coming from the kitchen - contributing to a feeling of normality. Small acts eg giving ice lollies to visiting great-grandchildren made big impacts! Ladyfield was always bright and clean. The staff worked hard and looked after my mother-in-law with care and love - two members of staff being with her at the time of her death. Please convey our thanks for making the last few weeks of her life as comfortable and peaceful as possible.

My aunt was admitted to Ladyfield for rehab. Sadly she deteriorated which resulted in a longer stay. I cannot praise highly enough all the staff of Ladyfield; the kitchen staff, administrators, carers and cleaners were so very kind and caring way beyond the call of duty. Always a smile, often a song
coming from the staff as the worked. Their patience with clients seemed boundless. I will never forget the way the dignity and respect shown to my aunt and others.

Mum was admitted after 13 days in hospital and she needed a good deal of care as she was very confused. After 3 weeks, we have our mum back and although still needs her confidence building, all aspects of her care has been well catered for and has been a godsend for her family.

My grandma stayed at Ladyfield House for some respite care and I don’t think we could have chosen anywhere better. She was treated with dignity and respect at all times, the staff were always welcoming and nothing was ever too much to ask.
The home was always kept very clean and tidy, unlike some
others we viewed. Grandma mentioned she was especially happy with the activities that were offered and that the food was nice too which reassured us we had chosen the right place.
There was always a happy atmosphere when we walked through the door, would highly recommend.

My mum is a resident at Ladyfield. She has required emergency medical treatment on two occasions whilst being there and if it was not for the observant, caring staff, my mum may not be here today.
I feel happy knowing she is in a safe, caring environment where she is well looked after and stimulated
by daily activities and events. Ladyfield has now become my mum's home and I would recommend Ladyfield without a doubt.

I came for a visit recently. The staff were very friendly and I was welcomed by everyone. The care home has lovely decor which relates to the residents. My Grandmother has been staying here for the last 6 months. She has settled in really well. The carers are fantastic always helpful and treat my Grandmother with the respect and dignity she deserves. The home is spotless and in a nice rural area so is very quiet.
The communal areas are really nice
and there are normally lots of activities going on. The management team and all staff work incredibly hard to make the home a warm and inviting place to be.
