I was assured by the manager that Dad would have plenty of interaction with other residents and there were lots of activities to get involved with. However, activities were non-existent and he and most of the other residents spent times outside of mealtimes in their own rooms or wandering the corridors.
There are lovely lounges on both floors but I never saw any residents in them.
It’s a huge place, in superb grounds but unfortunately, unless you take your loved ones outside yourself they never see daylight.
The carers did their best and all seemed pleasant but there just didn’t seem nearly enough for the number of residents there which lead to long waiting times for the buzzer for help to be answered and no interaction at all except the very basic care for the residents.
Fortunately, we were able to go inside and experience daily life there and very quickly had Dad transferred to a much better home.

I cannot speak positively enough about this care home - the staff, the setting and the accommodation are spot-on. My parents have been in the care for just over a year, and they are very happy and settled. Their move into the care home was quite literally a lifesaver - thank you.

In our experience, mum and dad were treated by all staff at Treeton Grange with care and dignity. The home appeared to be well run.
Specialist emotional support for dementia patients and additional time/care needed for deaf/blind patients was not readily available. We appreciate that this is difficult
to provide given the number of residents and day to day requirements but we mention it as we feel this would improve quality of life for residents with these challenges.
Much greater transparency is needed on the cost of care. The weekly charge should be explained with a detailed breakdown of running costs.

Since arriving at Treeton Grange, Mum has been well looked after, with a high standard of both basic and nursing care. All staff have been friendly and very helpful in settling Mum in. Bedroom is always clean and tidy and comfortable enough.

Mum and Dad were made to feel very welcome and allowed plenty of time to decide if they wanted to become permanent residents.
The carers are excellent they seem to be aware of any issues and are quick to respond to any problems.
We are particularly impressed with the number of varied activities provided
which really helps Mum (as she suffers from severe depression).
The room they have is lovely, with a great aspect, and contains everything they need.

A good care home, nice and clean, the food is nice.
The staff are caring and friendly, work hard although seem a little short-staffed at times.

The main thing you want for your relative is good care. At Treeton my Mum has excellent care from all staff. They always have a smile on their face and a witty remark on hand. And the activities are fantastic and very enjoyable for the residents. Mum hardly ate when she went into Treeton, now she is
eating 3 good meals a day and it is so good to see her with her appetite back. Moving Mum into Treeton is the best thing I have done for her health.

Staff are always kind and sympathetic to my aunt (who is not responsive) whenever I observe interactions.
Costs are reasonable, the facility is clean and welcoming, though the decor is traditional and homely.
Communication about my aunt's condition is prompt if there are concerns, though in relation
to finances responses tend to be much slower.

Overall standards are good. My relative is very settled and comfortable in her surroundings.
My only area of dissatisfaction is the occasional lack of hygiene, i.e. allowing residents to wash their hands after going to the toilet, being provided with wet wipes to clean their hands before meals, incontinence
pads to be changed more often.

Every visit my mum seems happy and not lacking in any way. It is great to know that she is being taken care of so well and I can rest assured that the staff are caring for her. The home is always lovely and clean and the staff are professional and very friendly. The gardens are beautiful and mum loves

I have worked at Treeton since 2017 as the home manager, I am a qualified nurse and Moving and Handling Trainer, along with Infection Control Link Practitioner, I trained in Sheffield and qualified in 1978, I have continued to develop myself since qualifying and have worked with both elderly care and young physically disabled, My ethos is that we work in the home of the people we care for and not that people live in a care home. My staff try to encourage the people who live here to maintain their lives and by being active and inclusive in the local community. We visit the local community centre for lunch club and other events,
I chair Rotherham Skills for Care network meeting for Registered Managers on a quarterly cycle along with linking the home with other professionals, so we are able to access services from Rotherham Metropolitan Council,. along with the Rotherham Foundation Trust
