Welcome to Alpine Lodge in Stocksbridge, Sheffield, a purpose-built care home located in a peaceful and scenic area of Sheffield. Situated next door to is Stocksbridge Bowls Club where residents can enjoy a peaceful day out.

Each of the 67 ensuite wet room bedrooms are furnished to the highest standard, offering residents the chance to enjoy pure comfort and tranquillity.

At Alpine Lodge providing independence and choice is very important – residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own belongings to help them feel at home and as comfortable as possible.

All residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life and are given person-centred care enabling them to keep on doing the things they’ve always loved – and often the things they perhaps thought they could no longer enjoy.

As part of the Sheffield-based community, residents can help themselves to drinks and snacks, help out in the garden and other hobbies and exercise their usual routines which enable residents to make their lives theirs.

The facilities at Alpine Lodge allow residents to enjoy other everyday routines that promote independence, from utilising the hair salon, relaxing in the sumptuous lounges, enjoying the gardens and terraces or simply catching up with friends in the dining room.

Alpine Lodge has a busy activities timetable, built around the key goals of mental stimulation, increased mobility and social engagement. Activities include arts and crafts sessions, gardening, exercise classes, cinema nights, quizzes, musical performances, and pamper sessions. There will be a great variety of activities to try, with new activities added frequently.

The in-house chefs will prepare exceptional food from fresh, seasonal produce that’s locally sourced where possible. Menus will include a mix of delicious and nutritious options including traditional classic meals, residents’ favourites and exciting international cuisine.

Dad has been here at Alpine Lodge for the last 4 years, I am very happy to leave him in the safe hands of the care staff here at Alpine Lodge. His needs are catered for with the care and consideration that a 95-year-old man with dementia required. The staff are very welcoming and very attentive with
each resident. Great care is taken to make sure they are well fed and clean. In my experience, the staff look after their residents as they would look after members of their own family. Very reassuring.

Alpine Lodge is a modern and very well run nursing home. The service provided is exceptional in all aspects and the staff are even more exceptional. They care dearly about the residents and and look after them in a loving way. My Mum was a resident for a few weeks entering with a terminal illness. The
end of her life care and love she was given was very special. The family and I are so pleased we chose Alpine Lodge for my Mum's last few weeks.

Gerard is the first person you will meet at Alpine Lodge.
Having worked within Social Care for over 20 yrs he is very experienced and has achieved Level 2 NVQ and Dementia Stars Silver and Gold qualifications.


He has very high standards and is a firm believer that Person Centred care is key and that the residents deserve to live an independent, rich and fulfilling life.
His main achievement at Alpine Lodge is to keep the home running smoothly daily, managing everything from Finances, HR, and Enquiries to making sure residents' favourite newspaper is delivered.
