Broomcroft House warmly welcomes residents in need of nursing or residential care, including those living with dementia or Parkinson’s. Its highly professional team is also experienced in palliative, convalescence and respite care.

The home consists of two two-storey houses that both have well-furnished sitting rooms, spacious dining rooms and bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The lower floor is specially adapted for those with physical frailties and there is good wheelchair access throughout.

Residents’ individual food preferences are incorporated into daily menus and discussed with individuals shortly after their arrival. There is always a choice of hot and cold dishes and snacks and drinks are available throughout the day.

The activity programme is arranged to suit all personal interests and some residents have set up their own painting and knitting clubs. Days out and organised excursions also feature.

Everyone involved in the care of our family member is fantastic; they care about them and our needs for our family relative. Always such a difficult decision choosing care for a very much loved parent. We visited several providers and lots of heart-searching before finally deciding on Broomcroft. The bedrooms, communal areas, dining room and beauty salon are beautiful but for us, it's the staff that make this a home from
home. They genuinely care for each and every resident. I have witnessed real sensitivity and compassion many times and take comfort in the knowledge that Mum is safe, comfortable and loved. We appreciate so much how consideration is given to us all too, there is a genuine welcome to become part of the Broomcroft family. Lots of activities to get involved with, Mum particularly enjoys the singing. The food is freshly prepared, nutritious, tasty, tailored to individual needs and beautifully served.
All in all, don't think we could have chosen better to suits Mum's needs.

Mum has been at the home for some time now. She is well looked after every day by the very attentive staff. It was difficult at first, but even with the onset of dementia, Mum still keeps saying she is the best place and they look after her well. The weekly video calls have been a great help during
recent weeks and months when we have not been able to visit the home.

Broomcroft has recently had a change in management and there has been a huge difference. The staff are more motivated and happier which has had a knock-on effect for the residents. The new manager is approachable and willing to listen to any problems that occur and then, most importantly, get them solved
quickly.

My father has been in Broomcroft for just over one year now. Initially, there were many issues, however since the new management has taken over, I and my father couldn't be happier. The entire atmosphere in the home seems to have improved. Staff are singing, laughing and just appear happier and content
in their jobs. This then has an effect on the residents, and they just appear happier! The activities in the home have definitely improved, and they seem more varied. The staff are pleasant and welcoming and do appear to all get on, which definitely makes a difference. I was hesitant at first, due to the homes chequered past, but I and my father couldn't be happier at the moment. If I have an issue, the management team act immediately and are very reassuring. It's such a difficult job, and I value and understand the work that goes into running the home. It can't be an easy job at all, and I know I couldn't do it!

My friend has been living in this care home for almost a year now. The changes I have seen are amazing.
At first, she'd be sat in her room and she seemed to have little engagement. Now, when I come she could be anywhere! Hairdressers, tai chi, quiz morning, in the lounge.
There has been a new management
team and I can't praise them enough, the staff seem better managed, the home is filled with life and laughter. I've been in and found drawings by one of the management's children they had done for my friend and it means the world to her.
Thank you to everyone. It is a very difficult time to learn someone has to be taken to a different home, away from what they know. I feel like she has an extended family now and is much safer in her environment and loved.
My only gripe would have been the environment but every time I come something has been worked on.
I haven't spoken much to the manager, but I have seen him with the residents, and for a young man, I hope his family are very proud!

My father-in-law has been cared for in Broomcroft House for over a year. The staff are excellent. He is well cared for and I am completely happy that as his condition deteriorates, he is in the best place he could be. We are always kept informed regarding his condition and treatment and have nothing

The care and nursing provided to my Aunt was exemplary and I would have no qualms about recommending this care home.
The only slight negative was the size of the room, which was long and narrow.

Broomcroft Nursing Home has got many attributes. Location, quality of the rooms, excellent building and inside decoration and a superb dining room. The daytime nursing staff and carers are extremely good always friendly and helpful. In general observation, the night staff don't seem to have the same
standards as the daytime staff. All in all very pleased with the home.

During the short time, my husband has been a resident at Broomcroft House, he has received a warm welcome and the care he required.
The staff are attentive and friendly.
The food menu is good, the portions may be a little too large. Evening meal at 5pm is a little early after a three-course lunch.

We found this home to be very clean, caring and friendly. We were sorry my brother had to leave this home, but it was for financial reasons.

My wife has been a resident of Broomcroft for over 11 years and the care and attention she has received has been second to none. The staff at all levels show great commitment to their various tasks but not only have I seen such commitment being shown towards my wife, they have shown it also to myself.


Obviously,

I regret the fact that my wife is in a care home, but I bless the day I chose Broomcroft. I cannot speak highly enough about the Home.

The activities co-ordinator had arranged (along with the chef) for a French meal for residents and family/friends to round off a week where activities had all been connected with France. The dining room was beautifully set out with imitation named passports and Eiffel Tower postcards as well as being
decorated red, white and blue. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere had Edith Piaf singing in the background. It provided much interest for discussion at the table. Staff wore berets, scarves and of course onions and had gone to a lot of trouble (as always) to make the day memorable. Well done and 'thank you'.

My wife and I have visited our friend in this care home on three occasions.
Our friend suffers from a severe form of Alzheimer's and the treatment he receives from all staff is really really good.
Nothing is too much trouble.
Great patience is shown at meal times considering he is bed bound most
of the time and can't feed himself.
Cleanliness and security seem to be 100 per cent perfect.
We feel very happy that our friend is being cared for with compassion and dignity.

Broomcroft House Care Home provided the best possible care for my mum from September 2013 to her death in May 2017. Following a serious stroke, she needed full-time nursing care and in spite of her health problems and disability, the staff enabled her to enjoy her life there. For three and a half years
we were always grateful we had Broomcroft House to be my mother's home. She could not have had better care and attention.

For nearly six years now I have been a regular visitor coming on average about four times a week over that period. The atmosphere has always been welcoming and friendly. I have stayed for meals and the food has always been excellent. The whole place has always seemed spotless and the care shown of the
highest standard.
The grounds are well cared for and the residents are able to enjoy sitting outside in fine weather.
At times there needs to be more staff on duty for their workload

Broomcroft Care home is the best home anyone could wish to be in. The staff and everyone who works there are so lovely and helpful, fabulous. Nothing is too much trouble and they work so hard. They are all lovely to me and our daughters, always a cup of tea when we go in, it is my second home. I go
every day to see my husband of 55 years, he is kept so clean and the home is spotlessly clean and never any smells, like some.
My friends, neighbours and family say if they had to be in a home, please make it Broomcroft when they've been with me to visit.

I have been managing nursing and residential care homes for five years and joined Broomcroft House in March 2024.


I started working as a care assistant in 2008 and worked my way up to become a home manager. I have Level 5 in health and social care management and have previously worked as a dementia coach.


I have a passion for elderly care and promoting people’s dignity and respect. I want to leave work at the end of the day knowing I’ve made a positive difference to somebody’s day.


Originally from Sheffield, I now live in Derbyshire. I have a daughter and I love going away in our caravan and spending time out in the peak district.

I have been at Bupa for 6 years. I originally came to work in the care sector in 2012, where I first worked in care in the community. I did a teaching degree at the University in Wales to teach Special Educational Needs (SEN). I started doing care in the community and found that care was what I wanted to do as a career. I did care in the community until 2014 in Wales and then moved home to Sheffield and decided that I’d like to work in a care home setting. I changed roles in 2018 for a new challenge as expanding my knowledge base is important to me. I love it!


I live in Sheffield; my family and I are from the local area. I have been married for nearly five years and spend my free time with my husband and those closest to me making memories.


I am passionate about singing and am often found on the Karaoke however I also like quiet nights in with a film and popcorn.

I come from a background of a bachelor’s degree in journalism studies and recently graduated with a Masters in Filmmaking. I wanted to become an activities coordinator at Bupa to use my people skills and life skills and incorporate them into care home life to make residents days fun and fulfilled, creating the person-centred care that they deserve.


I love making a difference to people’s lives and I get to do that every day in this job. I love that I get to meet new people everyday and learn about their lives and families.


I moved to Sheffield from the West Midlands six years ago to study at university. I also grew up going to the Peak District, so having that nearby is fantastic. I fell in love with Sheffield, and I never went back. I am a massive extrovert who loves people and learning about them. I have two beautiful cats (Poppy and Mowser) with my partner. I enjoy walking , camping, singing, anything crafty, roller skating and most importantly, dancing and having a boogie to some disco music (my favourite)!
