The Laurels and Limes Care Home is a beautiful home situated in 3 acres of parkland close to the Sheffield suburb of Broomhill. Separated into two homes, one boasting the ambiance of old world charm and the other a purpose built, yet sophisticated home.

Carers offer residents and their families the support they need during what many find some of the most trying times of their lives. Families & advocates are truly grateful for the personal support they receive, when faced with one of life's very difficult decisions and pride themselves on continuing that support to residents and their families from the moment they contact throughout the whole of their stay and beyond.

The approach to care is simple - look after the person and not the ailment/condition alone - professionals want to get to know their residents and their families, thus enabling them to look after the whole person and not just to concentrate on the task in hand. Carers get to know their clients, who they are, who they were and how they have come to be at the home.

Since my mum came to The Limes nearly three years ago she has been looked after by an amazing set of carers. Nothing is too much trouble for them. All staff are caring, kind and helpful to both Mum and her family. It's an amazing place.

Lovely coffee and cake afternoon which was great for Dad to have a change of scenery. The care home is great - I know Dad is being looked after, staff are lovely - great.

I've always found all the staff very welcoming, helpful and very caring. The activity ladies do a fantastic job of keeping the residents occupied. The care workers also do a great job of looking after the residents. Mum is very comfortable here.

My brother has been in The Limes for a few months, but my experience is the staff are amazing, very caring, nothing is too much trouble. He has settled in wonderfully but only through the constant care from the staff and management. The rooms are very well kept and clean and the toe ladies who do the
activities are wonderful. They do some wonderful things. All in all, very happy with this home.

Since my mom became a resident she thrived. The staff are absolutely amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. They have welcomed my mom so well in the short time she has been here. Anything medical is swiftly dealt with. The food and refreshment are lovely. Mom has put lots of weight on since being here
which is something we struggled with. Overall cannot recommend The Laurels and Limes highly enough. Mom loves it here.

As the sickness of my husband was expressed as "terminal", I found, as his wife, nothing but kindness, shown to him, me and my two "medical" children.
We were shown true kindness, help and encouragement all along the last days of his life and appreciate the staff, who do a marathon job caring for so
many sick, elderly, often lonely people. Thank you.

The staff are kind, always making an effort to look after residents in their care, I asked my grandad about it and he says he is very well looked after. He loves the sponge and custard, care workers are kind and patient with those under their care.

Aunty arrived in early October 2023 after being in hospital and another care home (she didn't like it there) she loved it here at the Laurels. The staff have gone above and beyond to give her all the care that she needed. She was treated with dignity at all times.

Mum was content here at all times. She once said it was jolly! The staff are all very engaged in their work and dedicated to the residents. They always have a friendly "hello" and a warm smile. I never had a single concern about Mum's level of care here. The team always go over and above to capture
the mood of the home - Christmas, Easter, Coronation, etc.

My uncle spent the last few weeks of his life in The Laurels and The Limes Care Home this included palliative and end-of-life care. The regular staff on Floor 2 are amazing they gave my uncle so much care and attention we couldn't have asked for more. To the care team thank you for what you all did

Mum was admitted to the nursing floor of the Limes building for what turned out to be end-of-life care. All the staff were both caring and professional throughout. If you are looking for this level of care you need look no further. As mum grew older we came into contact with other care homes, some being
very poor but having surprisingly good reviews. This care home had a decent score but not top of the list so nearly got overlooked. How glad we were to have taken the time to visit and have a look around beforehand. The staff, facilities, regime, cleanliness, level of care, and situation were second to none. Thank you.

The care my mum received throughout her three and a half years as a resident was without a doubt impeccable. Sadly my mum's health deteriorated rapidly over the last few weeks but she was treated with dignity, care and more importantly, love from all the staff. There is no doubt in my mind that my mum
was in the best place possible and during her last days everyone was so kind to her and to me.
I was kept up to date with all her treatment by the staff and the GP. I will miss my mum but I will also miss the staff as they have become my friends.

I have visited the home more than 20 times during the past month. I find the staff very polite and friendly, parking at the home is very convenient, I find the cafe is a good idea but have not sampled it as I visit most nights to see my friend. All in all very satisfied with this place.

During Mum's stay for respite the carers made every effort to make my mum feel at home. All the staff are very friendly and caring. Mum settled in straight away. The food is very good and The Limes itself is situated within its own grounds with lovely gardens! Would highly recommend this care home.
