I would like to thank all the staff for looking after my Dad. They showed such compassion in the last few weeks of his life. He was made very comfortable. They could not do enough for him, nothing was too much trouble. They were also extremely informative. The room was spotless clean, and he had everything
he needed. I would highly recommend The Gables.

My mum was in The Gables for nearly 5 years. The care she received was without exception outstanding. The home was spotless, the medical care was faultless but it is the positive atmosphere and genuine care and thoughtfulness of everyone working at the home that made the difference. I will always be
grateful to The Gables for the care they gave my mum.

I have to highly commend The Gables Nursing Home and the staff for the outstanding care for my dad. During the Covid 19 crisis where I'm not allowed to travel down from the North East for visits they have been fantastic with Skype video calls, the staff help Dad with the iPads and calls. Dad says the
food and conditions are fantastic, and I have to say that during the Skype calls the staff are not only very helpful and caring they genuinely have a sense of humour and rapport with the residents that keeps them smiling. We have experience of The Gables from when my gran was in there many years ago and the level of care remains as high as ever to this day. The staff go out of their way for families too, they do all they can to keep you in touch during tough times. Whilst it's a heartbreaking decision to opt for a care home I can assure you The Gables is outstanding in all respects and you could not wish for more.

The Gables in Silsden is absolutely great! Small, friendly and family-run, the team has done a great job looking after my dad since he moved there a few months ago. It's rare these days to find a care home that's not run by accountants and number crunchers as part of some large company, where cost-cutting
and profit is the norm. The Gables is a refreshing change - clean, tidy and the staff really caring about the residents. Each one is treated as part of "their family". There's no smell of boiled cabbage or urine and everyone is friendly and courteous. The food is genuinely homemade and plenty of it too! Before lockdown, there was a comprehensive programme of activities. They have been absolutely on the case to keep Coronavirus out but quickly put in place Skype and FaceTime chats plus visits using social distancing measures. Five stars all round!
