Since my Dad moved into The Links, every effort has been made to make him feel settled and at ease in his new home. During this unprecedented time of uncertainty, it is extremely reassuring to know that the fantastic team at The Links are there to assist and support our dad in every way possible. It
is so hard not being able to visit but the staff are always happy to set up video calls so we can speak to dad directly and that really makes a difference during these difficult times. I just want to thank all of the staff who support our dad for their kind understanding and commend their ability to make him feel settled and at ease. We very much look forward to meeting you all sometime soon so we can then thank you personally. Keep up the excellent work, it is very much appreciated.

I have been visiting my brother in The Links for a few years now and I have not known the place to be buzzing like it is now. I think there is a new manager in place and she seems to be doing really good things there. Our kid seems to be much happier and he smiles more, he seems to care more about how
his appearance and looks as well. My sister couldn’t believe it when she saw him. It’s great for him and our whole family.
The place seems to be cleaner and brighter. I have always got on pretty well with the staff there and they seem to be more upbeat. Just seems like a total turnaround. Brilliant.

My dad went into this care home on 6th April 2020 in the middle of lockdown. We don't know anything about this care home. We don't get regular updates. Most times its over 60 hours or more. We are supposed to get a video call every Wednesday. We've had 2. The management talks to relatives like we are
thick. They are so rude. Everyone lies. One says one thing about Dad, then another says completely different. My dad is at advanced stages of dementia. Before all this, we used to see Dad every day. We are not asking for much. Just One update a day...

My brother has been a resident at The Links for many years. Since Care Worldwide took over its premises, I can happily say my brother is content and well cared for. The staff are always on hand for both me and my brother. Well done The Links and all who work there.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (9.023)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (9.023) out of 10 for The Links Care Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.594 for The Links Care Centre is calculated as follows: ( (67 Excellents x 5) + (29 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 101 Ratings = 4.594

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.429 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Links Care Centre is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 85 registered maximum number of service users is 17. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 17 = 0.529

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
