Anchor’s Springfield is located in a quiet location in Buttershaw. The home provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 99 residents in single en suite rooms.

Residents have a choice of five spacious lounges and a landscaped garden area with raised flower beds, with easy access to local travel routes and amenities for those who wish to remain as active as they can amongst the local community.

Care needs are met through individual, detailed care plans which are designed with care staff, residents and their loved ones. The care staff receive on-going dementia training to ensure their approach reflects best practice and they can provide high standards of care for residents with dementia.

Springfield is part of Anchor. Anchor is England’s largest provider of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has more than 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people.

The home doesn't smell of urine. The staff and carers are very nice and caring, warm and pleasant atmosphere.

My mother had been a resident at Springfields in Bradford for the last two years until she passed away in January 2017 at the age of 87.


I’ve been so impressed with the team throughout the time Mum had been in their care. From day 1 their understanding and empathy with someone moving into a new

environment has been exceptional – they put a very personal touch to a professional service, not easy in a highly regulated environment. They have taken the time to get to know Mum properly, what she enjoyed/ what she didn’t enjoy (!) and I think it’s a glowing testament that the team has stayed together all the way through – residents with dementia need consistency and the very low level of staff turnover has ensured that Mum has been happy and settled throughout her stay. It’s a special sort of person who has the patience and empathy to be a professional carer. Facilities, cleanliness, safety are all good - thank you for looking after my mother so well.

My Dad had vascular dementia and went to live in Springfield. As soon as we went to look around, not a pre-arranged visit, we were welcomed by the reception staff and carers. My Dad only lived there for 5 weeks, sadly he had a stroke but died in a place which showed genuine care, compassion, empathy
and love, not just for him, but for us, his family too. It is one of the hardest things putting someone you love into care, but Springfield is by far the best I have ever been to. Thank you for making his last few weeks happy.

Springfield has a welcoming atmosphere. Residents relatives are welcomed to go to the home when they want too. Relatives are able to make refreshments, stay for meals with residents. The staff assist residents with respect, they create a happy atmosphere. They get involved and participate in activities.
Lead office have always kept me informed of any issues of illness that my mum has had. Children are also welcomed when visitors are coming.
