Millreed Lodge works to meet a philosophy of 'care with respect'. The home can accommodate up to 33 residents in single occupancy rooms and can also provide shared rooms if required.

The staff are trained in providing specialist residential care for people aged 60 and above.

The home has a warm and friendly atmosphere which is is felt as soon as you enter the building.

Millreed Lodge has an excellent record for maintaining high standards of service. Residents' needs are regularly evaluated, ensuring that all aspects of their care are met using a person-centred, holistic approach. Care is individually tailored to each resident's needs and preferences.

The team always strive to update their knowledge, skills and environment.

  • Millreed Lodge encourages families and friends to visit throughout the day although the home does adopt a protected mealtime policy where they request that visits are avoided where possible, this is to protect the privacy and dignity of the residents during their meals.

    In the event of an outbreak (COVID, flu, Norovirus, etc) the home will follow infection control policies, procedures and guidance and will inform relevant people in the event of an outbreak. In the event of an outbreak, the home will be closed to visitors temporarily until further notice. If any visitors are experiencing any ill symptoms, the home urge you not to visit until you are 48 hours clear.

I was very happy with the standard of the care that my friend received whilst she was in Millreed Lodge. I always got the impression that the staff couldn't do enough for her. They were always happy to help and definitely seemed to care about my friends wellbeing.

The care staff are very caring, attentive and nothing is too much trouble. They are very patient, understanding and I can't fault them. The management are very helpful and keep me informed and involved in my mother's care. She is very well looked after and I have no complaints, just compliments on how
they take care of her.

I have been the Registered Manager at Millreed for 5 years and worked within the Sagecare company for 12 years.


I have many years experience in the care giving role. I thoroughly enjoy my job role. My qualifications are up to and including Level 7 in Leadership and Management, with numerous Health & Social Care qualifications and training. I am also a Mental Health First aider .


My ethos is to have an open door policy where my team, family members and the residents can come and speak to me openly and freely. I have a brilliant supporting team here at Millreed, I nurture and promote my staff to excel in their roles and professionally grow.


We adapt to each residents needs individually, supporting their everyday health and well being needs. Here at Millreed we thrive to provide a very friendly and homely environment , be inclusive of needs, wants and wishes.
