Fieldhead Court is situated in Dewsbury, where an experienced team of carers offers an ideal environment for nursing and residential short or long stay, respite care and specialising in palliative care. The home is registered for anyone from the age of 18 and upwards who needs specialist care.

The home sits in mature grounds with impressive, scenic surroundings to relax in on sunny days. There is also a conservatory, large patio area and a summer house all accessible for any residents to use.

The team, which includes nurses, carers, domestics, kitchen and laundry staff, at Fieldhead Court are a long established team offering consistency of care for all the residents, the team are all offered training both in-house and external to a high standard and relevant to the care sector to ensure the care they offer to the residents is high quality and individualised.

The home arranges a number of activities for residents to enjoy, this may be scenic tours out on the mini bus or the favourite is fish and chips out of the paper on the bus or in a picnic area dependent on the weather, with personal freedoms respected and an independent residents' group.

The staff are so caring and helpful with my mom, in her day to day care, and give her lots of things to do in these awful times which is much appreciated. The main thing is Mom is very happy and I can't thank you enough.

My husband was admitted during the national lockdown in April 2020. I have never been inside the care home but have viewed the photos and videos that the staff share on social media. I've also spoken with the staff about his care. He seems as well and happy as his condition allows. He has Alzheimer's
and I'm satisfied with the care he receives. The home looks clean, bright and pleasant, and residents look happy.

My mum had a recent short stay at Fieldhead Court while waiting to go to rehab to strengthen her walking after a stay in hospital.
The staff here are all fabulous and make a real effort to make the residents feel safe and comfortable. There are activities most afternoons in the lounges and all residents
are encouraged to join in but never pressured.
The food always looked appetising and always a choice was offered, there is a consistent flow of hot and cold drinks offered throughout the day and not just at meal times.
All of the staff were approachable and greeted all visitors with a smile and were happy to help with any queries made, if they didn't know they would find out for you.
The fact that the majority of the staff have worked there for several years is a testimony to how well the place is run by the home management.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Fieldhead Court for a short or long stay and if it was closer to home this would be my choice for Mum to stay for respite.

Job Title: Home Manager Registered General Nurse

Joined: 2005

Kath has been the registered Manager since 2005, she has 22years in Nursing and in total Kath has 35 years in the care environment.


Fieldhead Court has a well-established care team who works alongside the Residents, their families, Palliative teams, Hospices and Hospitals to ensure an individualised care package and treatment regime is developed to meet the needs of each individual resident.


Ensuring we provide emotional and physical support
as well as personal needs including holistic care needs,
religious/cultural support, family and friend support, social needs and much more.
