Staff at Lindley Grange offer a professional and friendly nursing care service to people living with dementia. Care plans are also provided to people who are looking for convalescence and respite and to those who require palliative care.

This purpose-built home has been carefully designed to provide high quality accommodation and facilities. All bedrooms are ensuite and have a 24 hour call system.

Within walking distance to nearby village Lindley, the home is on the main bus route to Huddersfield, a short 2 minute walk from the home with buses every 10 minutes throughout the day and every 20 mins on a Sunday, making the home easily accessible for visiting friends and family.

Local amenities such as shops, café, opticians and pub are a short walk from the home as well as the local hospital, GP, library and local parks.

The on-site chef works hard to cater for each resident’s dietary needs and provides a hot and cold option at every mealtime. A personalised birthday cake is always made for residents’ birthdays.

The home provides a seven days a week activity programme which includes trips out to the local village, music therapy every fortnight, themed events such as cruise ship and Wimbledon to name a few, flower arranging, armchair exercises and reminiscence activities. There is always something going on at Lindley Grange.

Friends and family are always welcome to join any of the activities.

Lindley Grange welcomed mum into their care in May 2017 from a previous care home. I was worried how mum would settle but there was no need as she soon settled into the warm, friendly and caring environment. Food is first class with a good choice to fit all needs. Activities are varied and well co-ordinated,
The care given is exceptional on all levels. Staff are genuinely caring, warm and friendly. Also, they show a high standard of professionalism. Management and staff are approachable and respond well to queries. Thank you all.

All the staff treat residents with respect and dignity, but there is also a great deal of laughter and involvement. The meals are freshly prepared and there is loads of choice. In the last three months of her life my mum was looked after beautifully and nothing was too much of a problem. A gem of a
place.

My father was cared for at Lindley Grange for 6 months until his death in December. He had complex physical and psychological care needs. I can't praise the staff highly enough. His end of life care was well planned and managed and the staff made every effort to liaise with the NHS end of life care
services to ensure that his last days were comfortable, dignified and compassionate. I was able to keep vigil for three days and was extremely well cared for myself with the utmost kindness and sensitivity. Within the boundaries of his illness, Dad was happy at the home. My sad memories of the long goodbye caused by Dad's dementia, are mixed with a renewed faith in human nature thanks to the wonderful end of life care at the home and the professionalism of the caring staff. Thanks to all at Lindley Grange.

The compassion, care, kindness and friendliness shown particularly by the carers as well as all the staff at Lindley Grange are what make it such a good home for our beloved relatives. The food is varied, tasty and nutritional elements worked out and a dietician. Various activities are arranged to try
to stimulate the residents. I feel that my husband's personal needs are taken care of by the staff so that I can spend quality time with him when I visit each day.

I cannot speak too highly of the staff and care offered by them, both to my aunt and to us, her family. When at 92 years old and with advanced Alzheimers disease, she was admitted to hospital with an unexplained broken and dislocated shoulder, Lindley Grange offered her a "home". Her previous care home
refused to have her back and she was deteriorating rapidly. It was a comfort that her last few weeks were spent with people who genuinely cared; who were well-trained, professional and kind. They supported our family as well as our aunt.

I find the care in Lindley Grange is exceptional and is down to the carers who are so conscientious in all they do and take a personal interest in all the residents and treat them as an extension to their family. I come every day to be with my husband, so I see it first hand. He is really happy here
and I always feel welcome. I don't think that any other care home could be as good or better than Lindley Grange and I mean that sincerely.

The team at Lindley Grange are exceptional, they provide excellent care in a homely environment, the carer's look after your relative as if they are their own family, you are always kept informed about how your relative is and any concerns they may have about them, the rooms are kept clean and tidy
by a great cleaning team, the catering is first class, the activities coordinator ensures that every resident has some form of activity no matter how little they are aware of or can do and she tirelessly raises funds to take the residents on outings or to provide things for them, the home has a regular hairdresser who always managers to do mum hair as we know she would like it. The home is well managed and the managers have an open door policy and are always available and ensure any concerns are dealt with immediately,

Dad moved to Lindley Grange Care Home in June 2016. Prior to that, he was in a care home that couldn't meet his needs. He was made to feel very welcome from the start and settled in very well, he's happy, safe, clean and tidy. The nursing care Dad receives is excellent from the staff who are all well
trained in dementia care. Any problems with his health are dealt with straight away and I am always involved. There's always a wide range or activities and entertainment. The food is good, plentiful and caters for all dietary requirements. The management team is excellent, with an open line of communication at all times. Glad Dad is at Lindley Grange.

Lindley Grange is an excellent place. My Mother who has dementia is well cared for, the staff love her, she loves them. Her needs are met. I know that she is in the best place. Staff discuss her care with me and I feel Mum is in her own home.

I have worked here at Lindley Grange for 11 years. I started in 2009 as a care assistant, and in 2016 I was offered the opportunity to become the activities coordinator - I jumped at the chance as I love the interaction with the residents. Lindley Grange is my second family and I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else.
I was nominated and won Bupa’s Every Day Hero award in 2017 which was a fantastic achievement.

I work very closely with outside agencies such as SALT and the dietitian to make sure that our residents have the best possible care. I love my role and everyone at Lindley Grange as they are a family to me.
