Linson Court Nursing Home, located on Dark Lane in Batley, delivers a range of care services including long-term, short-term, and respite care. It also offers specialised care for individuals with complex conditions such as Alzheimer's/dementia, in addition to nursing care.

The home is rated as Good by the Care Quality Commission (December 2021) and care is provided by an experienced, long-serving staff team who are dedicated to maintaining a good quality of life for residents. This is supported by a varied activity programme, and fresh, home-cooked meals.

Each of the 40 rooms are ensuite and are nicely furnished. There are four day and dining rooms and well-maintained gardens. Residents benefit from a personal laundry service, in addition to a hairdresser who attends weekly, there are also regular visits from an optician, dentist and chiropodist.

Although my father was only in the home for a very short time. He was treated with dignity and respect during the end of life process. The staff were very friendly and approachable and it was obvious they enjoyed their jobs. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I am unable to score many of the options
given ie Food & Drink, Activities etc as these didn't apply to my father so I've only marked them as good. Thank you to all at Linson Court.

My mother is residing in this nursing home and we all the family feel comfortable as she is in a safe home. All the staff are caring and took good carer of our mother.

The understanding of residents and needs are very good. The food and diets are very good. Laundry facilities top marks you always have fresh clothes for day and night. All round humour is shown all the time all these things help to quick recovery.

Sometimes our neighbour has told us that she has asked to be dressed and go into the communal room to sit, but, seem to disregard her wishes. Sometimes when they ask her, do you understand, that she tells them that she cant be bothered especially if she is not well, but maybe to try and persuade her
to dress may be better for her and possibly prevent any future bed sores which may arise.

Dad arrived yesterday from another care home. He got a very friendly welcome and they made him feel wanted. Room lovely with a great view- though it needs a lick of paint.

My stepmother moved into this care home in September 2015 after five weeks in hospital, too thin and fail to go home. Now she can walk again and has put on weight from all the lovely meals. She has an en-suite bathroom which is nice and clean. There is a dining room and lounge with weekday entertainment.
I think the staff I've met care caring and polite and the residents are looked after. My dad has now moved in as he needs 24 hour care, he says he likes it. There are two floors dads on the bottom. The carers take him up the lift to have tea with his partner some days but meal times are the busiest. I think we were so lucky to have them put in this home together.

On first impression the property looked clean and smelt homely. Spotlessly clean. Fantastically friendly approachable staff. It seems very person centred environment. This will be my Nanna's new home.

My mother moved here from hospital in October. The care and friendliness of the staff has been excellent. She is content within the situation that she finds herself. The only slight complaint is that she finds the food not quite hot enough on occasions.

We are well pleased with the care my mum is receiving all the staff are very obliging and very kind to mum. I myself find all the staff helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending Linson Court to other people who are looking somewhere for their relative.

My brother has had a stroke which has left him partially blind, my sister-in-law has dementia. I go to visit them regularly. My sister-in-law has been in care for nearly two years and my brother 9 months. Both are settled in, and are well cared for. When I have been the staff have always been kind and
patient with all the residents. My brother says he has no complaints about the treatment.
The residents and their rooms are always clean and tidy. There is only one fault I have found, there does not seem top be a lot of activities going on, maybe it's because there are a few stroke and dementia people there, otherwise the home seems to be one of the good ones.

Excellent care given to my husband who can do nothing for himself. All staff are caring and enjoy being with the older people they look after so well. There is a set routine but plenty of flexibility if I want something different. They make lots of Best Interest decisions, as my husband has dysphasia,
and they always get it right. My husband is now relaxed and happy after a difficult few years.

Renata

Renata Nadarevic

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 2003

During her 20-plus years at Linson Court, Renata worked in different roles, including cooking and cleaning before deciding that caring was the career for her. Several promotions followed and then, after gaining her Nurse Associate Degree, she was appointed to the position of Manager in December 2022. She describes Linson Court as being like a home from home for her and ultimately, her approach is that staff are employed by the residents to look after them and that her team need to do everything in our power to make sure they are comfortable, healthy, and happy.

Joined: 2004

Eve has worked at Linson Court for over 20 years and became Deputy Manager in December 2023. She went to college with Renata, the Manager of Linson Court so as well as being colleagues they have become best friends. Eve, like Renata, is committed to ensuring that the residents at Linson Court live as full and happy lives as possible.
