After visiting other care homes I decided along with my daughter, this was showing us it was the best. All staff are brilliant and very caring, we were shown around by the manager, and she answered every question and put our minds at ease. The family wanted excellent care for our sister as she had suffered
badly at her previous address. This is an excellent home with very caring staff. So very happy indeed that we chose this care home, my sister is also a lot happier too "I would recommend".

Absolutely over the moon we managed to get my husband in this wonderful place. Nothing is ever too much trouble, the staff are amazing and always put the residents first. We knew it was going to be the place when we rang up to see if we could have a look around and the manager said 'When do you want
to come, now, in an hour, it's totally up to you'. Nothing to hide there we thought.

Having to see my dad move into a nursing home was such a difficult time for us especially being over the Christmas period. I am also a carer myself and was very concerned about finding a suitable home with a high standard of care.
From first arriving at Aberford home to look around I could honestly
tell immediately we'd found a hidden gem. I can tell from meeting the staff, looking around and being made to feel so welcome, that it was the perfect home for my dad and I am still to this day hugely thankful for all the care and support given to my dad by the staff team. Aberford Hall is such a person-centred environment which is well-led and has most importantly a homely and clean feel to it.

I can't thank the staff at Aberford Hall for taking care of my husband while I have a well-needed break. If it wasn't for the manager and her staff I would be lost without them. He absolutely loves staying there and he non stops talks about the staff when I go collect him. Everything is perfect for
him, gives me peace of mind to know he is well looked after, never no problems nothing is too much for the staff. I would 100% recommend Aberford Hall and again thank them so much for all they do for us.

I visited my brother-in-law for many years at Aberford Hall Care Home. I always saw excellent care, clean rooms and a wonderful caring staff. I noted the first-class preparation of food. My brother-in-law always loved the meals. When I visited he would ask for tea and sandwiches - and always got them.
I have to mention the remarkable manager. Absolutely dedicated to her job. Clever, understanding, willing to listen and always forthright. A superb organiser and manager. My brother-in-law was the most challenging of residents but she helped and did everything to help him. Again, a brilliant manager. Many thanks to her.

My parent is content and smiles so much more than before. She is well cared for and shown kindness and consideration by staff. She beams when staff address her which is lovely to see.
It's such a relief to know she is safe and in good hands. All the staff are just wonderful. Not enough staff though.
They work so hard, wish we had more so more time could be spent giving human 1-1 contact. They have so much to do.

My father was languishing for over a month in the hospital waiting to be discharged to suitable accommodation. We were delighted that Aberford Hall Care Home had a place for him. Dad is settled and the staff are exceptionally good. I see him every day and there is always a member of staff looking in
on him and checking he's ok. That gives me such peace of mind. Big thanks to all the staff.

This is my first review for my father. He has only been with you since February this year. From the short time I'm here, when visiting, the staff seem very attentive, kind and I feel Dad is treated with the utmost dignity.
He always seems to be in bed though and I feel it would be nice to coax him
out of it now and again.
But overall, he seems happy, not stressed from making the transaction from home and I feel that is mainly down to the care he is receiving from yourselves.
Well done. Keep it up!

All staff are very friendly and cannot do enough to help. A staff member was outstanding today cutting my husband's hair and beard for him which desperately needed doing. Aberford Hall Care Home is a wonderful place for the elderly and I always feel welcomed. I know my husband is being well cared for.

I transferred my mother to Aberford Hall after a dreadful experience elsewhere, the ambulance crew prepared me in case my mother died in transit, she was in such poor condition. After a little over a month I can confidently say she has transformed into a lively, happy person, has gained weight and has
started to an interest in her appearance and activities. I truly believe the team at Aberford Hall have saved her life, I cannot thank them enough and I now look forward to many more happy times together. Thanks for all the work you do and care you take, its amazing.

My father has been in Aberford Hall since May 2022. I can honestly say that myself and family feel that this was a superb care home. The staff are always willing and polite, nothing is any problem. Good atmosphere, small and friendly home. Towards the end of my father's life, the staff were extremely
kind and caring, not only to my father but to any of the family members who were visiting at a very difficult time. I can't praise the home and its staff highly enough. Would highly recommend Aberford Hall.

As a Health Care Professional, Michelle has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at HC-One for many years, Michelle closely shares HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Michelle remarked:


“I like to make a difference to my Resident's lives and ensure they are getting the best care they possibly can.”


Michelle has also achieved much outside of work, with her proudest achievement being becoming Home Manager at Aberford Hall having worked at the home for 18 years progressing through various roles.
