As my mother's health deteriorates I find the level of care given to her is patient, kind and compassionate. Her needs are changing and the staff all adapt with her. Communication with myself and staff/management is good. If I have any concerns or worries I don't hesitate to speak with them. They are
always ready to listen and help. I find visiting at the weekends a little frustrating. There isn't anyone managing the entrance, so I can be waiting to enter and exit the building for quite a while.

Thank you for your feedback about the frustrations you feel when visiting out of hours at weekends. The doorbell out of hours is passed through to our teams within the communities to answer the doors. I am sure you appreciate that at times they will be busy delivering care to Residents and this will create a delay in answering the doorbell. We have reiterated to the team the frustrations a delay for visitors causes and asked them to answer as soon as they are able. Unfortunately, we are not able to staff the entrance of the building out of hours due to the costs this incurs. We aim to try our best and your patience is appreciated in this matter. However, we welcome feedback if you feel the time waiting is unacceptable. Please speak to the nurse in charge of the shift if this occurs and they will investigate immediately.

My mother entered Priory Gardens on respite. Mum's now been in for four weeks, and we are going to extend it as Mum has settled in and is happy. I would have no problem recommending Priory Gardens.

Okay, where do I start, I have just lost my dear Dad but I know without a doubt that he was cared for and loved by all that looked after him. Dad was very precious to me and my husband but knowing how happy my Dad was at Priory Gardens helped us to be able to have time to gain some strength back after
looking after Dad at home. it was hard work for us, but well done everyone. Thank you for your care and tears.

Well what can we say, Dad is so happy, he loves his visits from us and my husband takes him out at least once a week. Priory Gardens is the most wonderful place going, the staff are so wonderful, not only do they take fabulous care of Dad they also have time to speak to us and listen, well done Priory

The home staff were very caring and kind in looking after my mother in her terminal illness. The room was a pleasant environment for her and the support changed to meet her changing needs. The carers and nursing staff took the time to reassure and help her. We will always be grateful for the care she

I am extremely pleased with the care my mum received at Priory Gardens. I am always contacted and included in anything concerning my mam's health and well-being. It has been extremely difficult for staff during "Covid". They have been very professional and understanding, but the best of all is hearing
from Mam herself saying everyone is very good to her!

Priory Gardens provided the best care for my father that I could have hoped for. The amazing staff treated Dad with the highest levels of care and dignity, as well as looking after me and my family. Their support and humour really meant a lot to us at the end of Dad's life and I really can't thank them
enough. I really recommend Priory Gardens as a care home for your loved ones.

The staff are fantastic and go far beyond what is required of them. Nothing and I mean nothing, is too hard for them. Throughout the covid regulations, they worked tirelessly to look after residents and keep relations informed.
The only con I have found is keeping track of the resident's belongings,
quite regularly clothes returned from the laundry are someone else's and correct clothes are missing, even though we mark all clothes with name tags. Secondly, we have twice had to replace spectacles that have gone missing. I appreciate that it must be very difficult to keep track of everything.
In finishing, I cannot praise all the staff enough for the care and consideration they give to residents and relatives.

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“Kindness to me, means being generous, helpful and caring at all times.”


As a Registered Nurse, Allison has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at Priory Gardens for over a year, Allison now closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Priory Gardens.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Allison remarked:


“I get huge satisfaction out of making the Residents lives at Priory more fulfilling and bringing a smile to their faces.”


Outside of work, Allison enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two new grandchildren, and enjoys reading a good book.
