The care staff are so kind.

Thank you for your feedback regarding staffing levels on our Dementia Unit. We appreciate all feedback received, so that where applicable, actions can be taken to improve our services.
Staffing levels are calculated according to Resident dependencies, and the allocation of staff is reviewed daily by the management team in the home. The deployment of staff on each unit is the responsibility of the person in charge and is reviewed on a day to day basis. Where Resident’s needs are assessed as higher, staff are allocated appropriately to meet the needs of our Residents. Again this is reviewed daily by the Manager.

The care home is modern and very clean. Residents all seem settled and happy. There is a good atmosphere with very pleasant staff, who cope very well with the workload.

My dad was in Priory Gardens Care Home for only 11 days as he was at end of life care. The care they gave him was second to none. He died peacefully and that was all we could have asked for. I would like to thank all the staff for the care they gave him.

Although my mother was not at Priory Gardens for long, as she was waiting for a new care package to enable her to go home, she was very well looked after. For the first time in a long time, she had company and although she did not suffer fools gladly, to be able to have someone, mostly staff, to give
back as good as she gave, was a tonic.

Welcomed from the hospital to make her welcome for Christmas. First for respite and now a permanents resident.
Still a bit unsettled, but it does look a bit like a home now.

My mother was a resident for only a matter of weeks. During that time she received the best possible care from all the staff employed at priory Gardens. They were caring, kind and considerate. They offered all necessary to ensure that as her life drew to a close she was comfortable.

My father passed away last week after spending almost a year in Priory Gardens. We, as family, have been extremely impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff and feel that our father has been enabled to live out the last days of his life with dignity and in comfort. The love
and care shown to him has been heart-warming and has genuine sympathy and sorrow shown by the staff at his passing.

My father was a resident in nursing care at Priory Gardens for almost a year until his death last week. Throughout this period the staff were kind and caring and took the time to ensure his comfort and make him smile. They were patient when he was noisy and always ensured that his dignity remained intact.

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“Kindness to me, means being generous, helpful and caring at all times.”


As a Registered Nurse, Allison has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at Priory Gardens for over a year, Allison now closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Priory Gardens.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Allison remarked:


“I get huge satisfaction out of making the Residents lives at Priory more fulfilling and bringing a smile to their faces.”


Outside of work, Allison enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two new grandchildren, and enjoys reading a good book.
