Excellent care always looking for ways to stimulate the mind with things to do and lot of activities to keep them occupied. The home is always clean and tidy, the food is excellent. Mum has really flourished since moving in.

My father came to the care home in September 2024 and so far I think it is the best thing to happen for him.
The meals he gets are sufficient, his room is nice and warm, One member of staff in particular is very warm and welcoming, always there if you have any questions, I even discussed my dads 80th
birthday and she was excited to help with planning it (it's not until March).
The office staff are nice and approachable, the careers are also nice.
They have also arranged for my dad to have a hearing test which is brilliant.
So far my experience and my dad's has all been positive.

Overall I would consider my experience at this care home to be very good. My great-grandmother has been at this care home for at least 2 years and despite her dementia she seems to be right at home and the staff do their upmost to provide above and beyond care to make sure she is safe comfortable.
You can tell a lot of care and love has gone into the care home and because of this I would highly recommend.

The carers at this home truly excel at what they do. A particular member of staff and her dedicated team consistently go above and beyond to ensure the residents feel comfortable, valued, and cared for. Their commitment to creating a positive and supportive environment is evident in everything they
do, from providing exceptional day-to-day care to fostering a genuine sense of community among the residents. It's incredibly heartwarming to see how much joy they bring to the lives of those in their care.
One of the standout aspects of this home is the emphasis on fun and engagement. The 2024 residents' Christmas party at Snapethorpe Hall was a delightful event enjoyed by all attendees. It was heartening to witness everyone collaborating to create festive decorations and engaging in activities such as party games and the "Guess the Reindeer's Name". The Christmas raffle added an

My mum has been a resident for just over 1 year. She was quite poorly when she went into the home after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She wasn't eating and not speaking very well. After a while with the care she was given, she started putting weight on and was able to make a few friends. The staff
work so hard in what is a very challenging profession and I can't fault anyone. Mum will be 93 years old in April and she is very happy where she now lives.

I have visited this and many other care homes in the locality regularly. It was my privilege to celebrate Communion with the residents of the care home on a monthly basis when I was the curate in the parish. Every time I visited, whether expected or not, the residents I saw were well cared for and
treated with dignity and respect. The staff always seemed to care for the residents as if they were their own family members. The home has always been clean and well maintained.
They also recognised the value that even people with advanced dementia could gain from worship and included them in our monthly services as often as they were able to and they encouraged any resident who would value engaging in worship to be a part of the service.
I've been in other places where the care is very different and whenever I am asked about good care homes locally this is one of the examples I think of. Thank you for all you do.

The level of care at Snapethorpe has honestly been absolutely incredible. Despite my gran not wanting to leave her home town of Horbury, the people who care for her have been endlessly patient and kind. Taking her on trips out to Sheffield, to Roundhay Park in Leeds, to visit farms to see animals (goats
etc). Also the activities manager is always doing arts and crafts with the residents who are interested. Making Halloween masks and painting little pumpkins last week! Gran is always clean and well-fed too. Her hygiene needs are always met. Doctors' visits and help with meds etc if need to change. I honestly could not ask for more. We brought Gran here from word-of-mouth reviews, and I'm so happy we talked to those people and got those recommendations.

My husband became a resident of Snapethorpe Care Home in March 2024. After a Rocky start, I'm pleased to say he has settled down! The home is spotlessly clean and all the staff are super friendly and helpful working long shifts. Good teamwork! Recently it was my husband's 90th birthday, what a fantastic
party they put on for him, I couldn't thank them enough that expression 'a good time was had by all' certainly applied. I would recommend Snapethorpe Care Home.

We chose Snapethorpe for Mum's respite care following a period in hospital and because she has dementia . The staff have been very understanding with Mum who isn't always easy to pacify due to her mental state . The lady who organises activities is an absolute gem and a massive asset to the home . She
goes out of her way to email photos to me showing Mum participating in activities such as ceramic painting and a visit to a farm. Mum had previously had respite in other care homes and this one has been the best in providing Mum with activities to keep her busy as that is what she needs to keep her engaged and happy. I am truly grateful to all the staff and hope Mum can be a permanent resident there when her respite is over.

Thank you for the feedback regarding the menus. Our menus are on a six-week cycle and are changed at least twice per year, in line with Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter. These are created with resident involvement and are specifically designed to incorporate the required ingredients to provide the right balance of nutrients for our residents. There are always at least two options for lunch and dinner, with alternative light bites available at any time if preferred by residents. Our head chef is always happy to chat with our residents about the menus and any changes they would like to see, regularly attending the Resident's Meetings within the home.
