The staff have always been very supportive in all aspects of the care being provided for my mother-in-law. My wife visits her mother frequently and the staff are always very friendly and do a great job to ensure that my wife is kept informed of any changes in her mother's condition.

My husband arrived at Figham House in a very poorly state requiring end-of-life care, with fantastic care, kindness and understanding his condition has much improved and he is able to feed himself, have a limited conversations and even take a few steps with a walker, a carer and encouragement. Visiting
is much better. All staff have been so helpful and obliging and nothing is too much trouble. This includes cleaning, catering, laundry and reception. More than adequate for my husband.

My mum moved to Figham House in June 2022. She has settled in well, thanks to the kindness of the care staff who have shown great understanding of her needs and encouraged her to join in with activities, especially singing and dancing which she loves! I was nervous about moving her, as change can affect
Alzheimer's but I'm really glad I moved her as her care is much better, and she's happy and well looked after. Thank you!

Mum and Dad came to Figham House in July 2020. Staff helped us enormously during this time and have continued to do so to this day. They gave us and our parents reassurance to adjust to the changes ahead and we felt we could ring anytime. Throughout Covid staff tried their hardest to accommodate our
needs.
Sadly dad passed away late in 2020. Throughout Dad's short time at Figham, staff took time to talk to him and it was clear from our conversations with staff that they had learnt a lot about his life.
Figham continues to be Mum's home. Her dementia has accelerated but she is happy and settled. Figham staff have given Mum care that caters for her individual needs.
We find staff to be kind, caring and respectful to Mum and us. We feel able to ask questions and find them approachable. As a family that cared for our parents for 2 years, we feel confident in staff at Figham to continue this care.


Thank you all we know it hasn’t been easy for any of you throughout this pandemic.

Dad had to go into care in July 2020 which was in the middle of the pandemic. We could not visit him but rang the home on a regular basis and were kept up to date. Dad has been diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease recently but because we have been able to visit, we can now see him. He is not the dad that
we are used to but that is because of the Parkinsons and dementia. Overall, we think his care is good, as are the carers and we are kept up to date. No one is happy that a parent has to go into care, but the reality is that they have to and we are happy with the care given at Figham House.

Mum has resided at Figham House for three years. She is very content there, feeling safe and secure; she refers to it as home. She is well cared for, her medication is given correctly and monitored well. When Mum becomes unwell, there is no hesitation in contacting the appropriate agencies. Communication
between staff and myself are very good, especially during "lockdown". Mums daily intimate requirements are dealt with in a respectful and caring manner. She is able to request alternative food if the menu is not to hertaste. We are very grateful for all the care Mum is given.

My Dad was transferred to Figham House after an awful care home experience left us all traumatised. The minute my Dad arrived at Figham, the staff and lovely environment restored our faith in the care system. They nurtured and cared for him with compassion and respect. They also nurtured us by keeping
up communication with us, listening to us and learning all about Dad and his complex care needs. They were absolutely phenomenal in our hour of need and we cannot recommend them enough. Dad had the right professionals involved after he arrived and Figham referred him for the assessments he needed. He got the correct equipment that he so desperately needed but had been denied in his previous placement. Dad died in August. The staff were so very reassuring, calm and supportive of both him and us. They guided us through the end of his life with personalised care and compassion. Thank you Figham for being part of our family story. Every member of the team without exception was wonderful.

Care to Mum is second to none. Mum is very happy and very well loved by staff.
Staff have bent over backwards to keep us communicating throughout Covid and have made our visits now so easy.
The whole team at Figham House are amazing and Mum's extended family.

I have felt since my mother has lived at Figham House that the home and the staff were doing all the could for my mother. This has been reinforced since the covid pandemic. The homes care of my mother when she became ill, and their care and support for her and family went way and above what was expected.
I can't praise them more for all they did and do.
