Mallard Court provides 24-hour nursing care and personal support to older people, older people with disabilities, older people with sensory loss and older people living with dementia, offered expert support in a dedicated Memory Lane Community. The home also offers respite care and short breaks.

Set in its own extensive, wheelchair accessible gardens, located just a mile away from Bridlington town centre and half a mile from beautiful blue flag beaches, the home is sited on a quiet residential estate and is easily accessible by road.

Care and support at Mallard Court is delivered through personalised care planning, a process that begins with an assessment, carried out before admission where possible, and completed with the individual concerned, together with relatives.

Information is built upon admission and at regular reviews. It covers areas like needs, risks, likes and dislikes, so it provides a basis for areas as diverse as deciding about activities programmes and external contacts, looking at any rehabilitative medical needs and discussions with the chef about diet (who will tailor meal choices to the individual).

The team and any relevant health professional are an important element of the system when carrying out regular reviews and updates with the individuals and relatives.

Mum was admitted in February 2016. The care and support in Mallard Court is excellent. As a family we are all very pleased at how mum has settled in.

I found the care home very pleasant with the staff members being very understanding and extremely helpful when required to assist at anytime. The meals were well prepared and enjoyable. I have no complaints during my brother's respite stay there.

Ange Dooley-Widd

Job Title: General Manager

Hi, my name is Ange and I am the General Manager here at Mallard Court Care Home. Welcome to our carehome.co.uk page.


Thank you for taking the time to look further into what we have to offer to you or your loved one. Here is an opportunity to look at some of our staff team in the home, who all play a vital role in day-to-day life.


I started my career in care as a volunteer in day centres for adults with learning disabilities. I have looked after people with learning disabilities who lived with me in my own home and also provided respite for children with learning disabilities as well.


I moved over to Bridlington from Bradford over a number of years ago and applied for the position as a carer at Mallard Court. I was promoted to senior carer and eventually to the position of Care Practitioner before progressing to Unit Manager.


I work with a dedicated and supportive team who aim to achieve the best for the home. I look forward to welcoming you to our home.

Amy has worked in care since she was 19 years old and has been employed at Mallard Court for several years. Amy held the position of Senior Carer NVQ Level 3 and has now been promoted to Unit Manager on our Memory Lane.

Hi, my name is Steve, and I have been a Lifestyle Coordinator at Mallard Court since 2006, and have achieved the NAPA (National Association of Activity Providers) Level 2 Award in Activity Provision in the Care Sector.


We provide a wide range of activities for the people we support, as well as for their families and friends. I also love to have one-to-one chats with residents who like to reminisce about their lives over a cup of tea and some biscuits.


We have our own minibus and have fun days out sightseeing, having a picnic or going to a local pub for a drink and a meal. We also arrange for local artists to provide musical entertainment for everyone at Mallard Court.
