Staff are always welcoming, prepared to go extra mile for residents, food is very good, cleanliness is excellent. We are always kept updated with any issue's these are always resolved quickly.

Clarendon Hall is not just home for mum, its a family safe haven for us as well. The support & care they give mum is also given to us as family. To me they are my extended family who I couldn't live without.

Clarendon Hall is a great nursery home. The staff always friendly and happy. Nothing is too much trouble. The home is always clean and tidy. No smells. Plenty of food. Can have snacks between meds. Nothing is too much trouble.

Day-to-day care is wonderful my husband is treated my husband "one of the family". They always use his first name which makes things very personal. Nothing is too much trouble - Any "problems" or queries are sorted very quickly. Always treated with dignity. I am very happy and confident that my husband
is in the best of hands.

My auntie has been made to feel so welcome at Clarendon. She has commented on how lovely the staff is (many remembered her from a brief respite care period several years ago.) She has already enjoyed a social side of life she has been missing - singing songs, petting animals, making new friends and
just experiencing a much better quality of life. I'm so pleased she came here!

Always a pleasant atmosphere when visiting here. The staff are so welcoming and friendly.

Clarendon Hall Care Home has looked after my mother for six months. Their care is consistently excellent. My mother, very reluctant to go into a care home, has been made very welcome. She feels very cared for and now considers Clarendon Hall home.

My husband has been a resident in Clarendon Hall for seven months. I have been so impressed with the home. It is a lovely, clean building. All of the staff are kind and caring and very helpful. Since my husband arrived at the home I feel like I have become part of a family and I feel cared for as much
as my husband. Even though my husband is unable to do much, he is able to take part in the activities that go on through the week and really enjoys them. I can highly recommend Clarendon Hall.

It is a wonderful home, our mum has been a resident since January 2023. I would describe it as a welcoming hand around your shoulders saying it’s okay you can let go, we’ve got you all and by goodness, they did and still do.
And this being our first Christmas without our mum with us it was very hard
and strange, we really did appreciate all the help and kindness shown to us as well as our mum.

Clarendon Care Home has been very good again this year with plenty of activities going on and a very good Christmas for the residents. Work staff are very good and if anything goes wrong with my mam, they ring me and let me know.

My mum was only here for a few days prior to her passing.
She was treated with care, dignity and respect during this period by all the staff,

I would highly recommend Clarendon Hall for the exceptional care given to my auntie recently, and particularly the two staff members who looked after her with dignity and compassion. Nothing was too much trouble. Sadly, she was very ill, and they stayed with her to the end and were a great comfort to
us. We can't thank them enough, and their kindness in going above and beyond was such a huge relief and strength to us at such a sad and difficult time, and we will always be so very grateful.

The staff in Clarendon are excellent. The care they have given my mother over the past four years has been outstanding.
I feel I can always call in to talk to the manager with any queries I may have, and she will always have time to speak to me.
I have recommended the home to other people, and I
know one person has used it for their mother and was also very pleased with the care received.
Well done to everyone at Clarendon.

Only resident for three days up to now, but care satisfactory. All carpets and paintwork need updating. Staff friendly and helpful.

Clarendon Hall is due a refurbishment and is one of the first homes to commence on the planned works programme, but we don’t have a start date at this time. Thankful for all the care my mam gets. Had many ups and downs healthwise. Mam, she is loved by everyone and has been in the home for 10 years. The staff are wonderful, happy and caring. I feel also part of the (family) in the home. Sometimes need to sort things for Mam, make sure she's got what she
needs, comfy, warm and drinks etc. But on the plus side, very good.

What does kindness mean to you?


“For me, kind care means treating people with dignity and respect, as you would want to be treated yourself.”


As a Registered Nurse, Nicola has over 20 years’ experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked for HC-One for a number of years, Nicola closely shares the company’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby organisations and is always quick to welcome the local community to Clarendon Hall.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Nicola remarked: “I just love spending time with our Residents and get great satisfaction from feeling like I’m making a difference.”


Outside of work, Nicola enjoys walking, training her dog and spending time with her family.
