Welcome to Belmont House.

Located in the residential area of Starbeck in Harrogate, close to the town Train Station and Springwater School, Belmont House care home is a custom-built, three-storey care home.

The home is divided into five separate suites, spread over three floors. The Courtyard suite provides residential care for up to 30 people. The Garden and Spring Water suites both provide nursing care for 14 people each. The Park suite provides residential care for up to 17 people living with dementia, while the Promenade suite provides nursing care for up to 26 people with dementia. Each unit has a lounge and dining room for residents to relax and enjoy meals.

The home has three dedicated activities coordinators on-site to enable activities to be provided to all units. Residents enjoy activities in and out of the home which includes trips out to the pub for lunch, entertainers in the home, crafts, gardening, home baking, church services, libraries, 1-1 time and activities for annual special events and days.

They have a 5-star award in Food Hygiene at the home and believe food is a huge aspect of the care at Belmont House. Residents enjoy a cooked breakfast, choice of lunch and dinner meals, supper and hospitality trolley with drinks and cakes throughout the day. The Chef has been accredited with the Gold Standard in North Yorkshire County Council’s Healthier Choices awards.

I went into Belmont House after open-heart surgery as I live alone. I had to self isolate so only saw the inside of my room and the staff who looked after me. I was treated very well by everyone at Belmont House.

I have found that all the staff are very friendly, caring and kind to my mother and treat her with the dignity she deserves. They try their best to meet all her needs, which can be difficult at times! Her medication is always dispensed on time and there is usually a friendly chat to accompany the medicine.
The accommodation is super clean and smells really fresh. The entertainment is appropriate for her generation, she knows and likes most of the songs! Mother hasn't got much of an appetite, even though the food is superb and the carers will tempt her with food such as ice cream, soups or smoothies, ensuring she does not go hungry. Throughout this current pandemic the home has kept up very tight standards of security, ensuring the residents safety and security without compromising their comfort and emotional well-being. We have found the management and staff extremely understanding and sympathetic through some difficult times and we, as a family, are very grateful for their support.

My father had vascular dementia, and when Mum could no longer manage to care for him at home, we found a place for him at Belmont House. He was only there a few months and passed away in November. However, during this time, his care was exemplary. We could not visit for much of the time he was there
because of the pandemic. However, the staff were always so kind and when speaking to them over the phone, both Mum and I was confident in the level of care he was receiving. The facilities are excellent as well. A real home for residents.

My mother finally went into care suffering with advanced Alzheimer's in February. I had managed to keep her at home for 4 years as this was her wish, however she became unsafe. I felt so guilty as I had reluctantly betrayed her wishes. However, it became very obvious from day 1 that mum was in the
right place with the right people. I cannot fault the home, the management, the admin and the whole staff. They are totally professional, loving, compassionate, hardworking and patient. Now I feel assured that mum is as safe as she be anywhere and I am proud to be associated with Belmont House.

My mum was looked after in Springwater from December 2018 until her passing in February 2020. The care from the staff was wonderful. They were attentive without being intrusive and encouraged and supported Mum throughout, especially when she was in end of life care. They also supported our whole family
during this difficult time. We would recommend anyone in a similar situation to choose Belmont. They really were like an extended family.

Cannot fault the staff, facilities, the politeness by everybody. Cannot do enough. Wish I had found this place the first time my wife went into care. Although she has dementia, she has come on immensely and for that, I will be eternally grateful.

Found all the staff to be friendly, kind and very caring in looking after my wife. Daily activities being so varied enable my wife to be part of the "community". Although she needs help with the physical aspects, this is always on hand.

My uncle is in Belmont House. He can be difficult with some old fashioned values. The team working at Belmont have been excellent, efficient and friendly. They patiently explain what they are doing and why. Security is excellent, On every occasion I have visited the home is clean, the room and toilet
clean. It does not smell like a hospital or of old people but like a person's own home. The communal areas are light and people look happy. Brilliant environment. With thanks.

We brought my dad to Belmont House after 11 weeks in rehab accommodation, the care he has received so far has been excellent. Staff are friendly and willing to help wherever possible. Home is warm, welcoming and clean with plenty of activities.

On entering Belmont House it is always friendly and warm. I visit most days of the week and the staff are very caring and friendly to the residents and their relatives. The activity ladies do a very good job of making sure there is some activity or entertainment for residents and relatives are always
very welcome. The food is very good and caters for different needs.
