Crystal Court in Harrogate is a purpose-built care home located in the pretty village of Pannal in Harrogate. It is just 2.9 miles from the Valley Gardens, where residents can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and peaceful surroundings.

Each of the 68 ensuite single bedrooms is furnished to the highest standard, offering residents the chance to enjoy pure comfort and tranquillity.

At Crystal Court providing independence and choice is very important and residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their belongings to help them feel at home and as comfortable as possible.

All residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life. The person-centred care enables residents to keep on doing the things they’ve always loved.

My family member was treated with nothing but respect and kindness, nothing was too much trouble. The home manager and deputies were approachable and kind. Food was good, always offering an alternative. The carers worked exceptionally hard but had time to listen to my family member which meant a lot,
for that I thank you. You are all angles, well done and again thank you all.

We had to place my lovely mum in Crystal Court Care Home when her dementia became so advanced that we could no longer care for her at home (she had lived with us for six years). Whilst it was a heartbreaking decision and she had to go in during lockdown, the staff cared for her very well and she settled
quickly. She was well cared for and the staff clearly knew her by name and knew her likes and dislikes well. This gave us great comfort when she eventually passed away peacefully in July 2022 at 92. She lived at Crystal Court for seventeen months and I can genuinely say that I don't believe anywhere else would have cared for her as well as Crystal Court did. They treated her with dignity and respect and enjoyed a laugh and joke with her. She was very happy there. Any issues we raised were dealt with promptly and effectively. Communication was very good, particularly when she had any medical issues. Thank you staff at Crystal Court - highly recommended.

My mother is a resident of Crystal Court Care Home. When I visit her I feel welcome, I find the atmosphere in the home calm and friendly and the manager very approachable. Every member of the staff greets my mother by name, just one example of the respect shown to my mother and other residents. The
carers who look after my mother are kind and thoughtful and it is clear that they know her well and care about her. They treat her as an individual and with dignity. I am so pleased that we chose Crystal Court when my mother needed to move into a care home. I thoroughly recommend Crystal Court to any relative of a person with dementia.

Traumatic experience. All good to start with but these turned out to be empty promises. My Mother's care was not at the forefront of her being looked after in this care home. Her care plan had other residents' details names, date of birth, etc in it. It did lead me to question was she receiving the
correct care. Staff issues and staff shortages, and low morale lead to some poor quality service. Incorrect information in her care plan did compromise my Mother's health. I do have photographic evidence of this. District nurses raised safeguarding against the home and I had to raise one which included numerous points. All agreed in a meeting with the home manager and social services to be substantiated. Some staff were lovely and attentive, but terribly overworked, whilst others just did not care. Requested information from Home Manager which was ignored and never responded to! This all resulted in moving my Mother to a better care facility. Crystal Court, poor home badly run!

At no time were you ignored and appropriate actions were taken. It was decided that the best option was for you to find another placement which was agreed by all. I would like to stress that all our residents are supported and cared for as individuals from a very hard-working team, under the very demanding times everyone has experienced over the past two years. My mother was a resident at Crystal Court Care Home from 2020 until 2022. She was treated with compassion and kindness by staff in the home throughout her stay, even though "lockdowns" made visiting difficult for the family. Even though we were not with her when she died, we were allowed to sit with
her for a while that morning which was a great help to me and my sister. As my mother would have said, "thank you for caring".

My mother and I have been visiting my father since June 2020. Now we are allowed in we are far more aware of the excellent care he is receiving. My dad always looks clean, shaven and cared for, and well-fed. And Dad always responds to whichever carer comes in to see us when we are there - in a good

Care home is nice and modern. It's so nice that rooms overlook the gardens and courtyard. Staff are very helpful and obviously care about their residents. I think they have managed the Covid pandemic so well as they have kept my mum safe and well. They seem to have thought carefully about procedures
during the pandemic and I feel safe visiting Mum in the pod they created.

My grandad has been a resident for a few years now and I know he’s in good hands.
Before the pandemic, I enjoyed regular visits unannounced whenever I liked. The staff have his best interests at heart and I can sleep soundly knowing he’s getting the best care we could wish for. Whilst I know grandad
enjoys the relationships he’s formed with all the staff, certain carers hold a special place in his heart and it’s comforting to know he is as happy as he can be and he’s safe.
I would highly recommend Crystal Court, another thing to note, it is always spotless, never smells like a crate home and the food is amazing quality.

I was visiting my sister-in-law for the first time after several months due to Covid and travel restrictions, the staff made me very welcome and made sure I had extra quality time with my relative due to how far I had travelled for the visit. They also made sure my relative was cared for when I was
leaving as she was emotional. Beautiful residence and excellent caring staff. Highly recommend.

My darling mother-in-law has been living at Crystal Court since December 2019 and I feel very confident in saying the staff consistently provides excellent care to the residents. They now spend more time with her than us, her family and I are ever so grateful they manage to keep me informed as much
as it is possible about the current pandemic situation and how my mother-in-law is doing. It was very important and reassuring to us that the team are interested in a brief of her life history before the illness, what she likes and dislikes, her sense of humour etc it feels like they know her. It feels really comforting to see her looking serene, smiley, content and healthy despite her age and illness.
Our last visit yesterday was perfect - sunny day, she recognised us for a little while, smiled a lot and was a chatterbox and even waved!

My mother was extremely ill when she was transferred from hospital to Crystal Court. She only lived for another 12 days. During that time she was well cared for by some wonderful staff. Throughout that time, my sister and I were kept fully informed of her situation by the nurses on duty and the Care
Home Manager. On the day she died I was allowed to spend several hours with her, despite the 14 day quarantine period having not elapsed. In that time I could see the wonderful care she was being given and how the nurses and care assistants treated her with as much dignity as they could. My sister and I are extremely grateful to everyone at Crystal Court for making Mum's final days as comfortable and peaceful as possible.

I have worked within the Social Care since 2011 working across many disciplines within the industry.


I settled at Crystal Court in 2017 moving up to Home Deputy in 2021 during which period I achieved my NVQ Level 5 (distinction) in healthcare leadership and management.


I am honoured and excited to be the Home Manager at Crystal Court and I aim to ensure that the core values we hold dear are upheld and built upon.
