We regularly discuss service satisfaction with people in our care and the resident in question has recently reviewed the home with an overall rating of 4 ( Good)
Maple Lodge currently has a rating of 9.2 out of 10 with over 87 % of reviews scoring 4 Stars or above.
In respect of the food served, the main meal of the day is often the lunchtime service within our homes with lighter bites (sandwiches/soups/baked potatoes) offered at dinner. There is however always the choice to reverse this. Our Menus are changed daily with a choice of options for every sitting.
We are saddened that you feel like this about the standard of service provided and would welcome the opportunity to discuss the points raised in detail.

I then closed my business and joined Maple Lodge as the flexible part-time working week enabled me to spend quality time with my grandson.
In my spare time, I enjoy walking with my dog, going to the gym and trying to keep fit. I also collect and restore military firearms.
I have been married to my wife Sue for 35 years and we have two daughters and one grandson. We have our parents still in our hometowns, Eaglescliffe and Newcastle Upon Tyne where I was born.

I have worked at Maple Lodge since 2021. Most of my work previous experience is in customer service, although I did care in my very first job and decided I wanted to get back into it, and I am pleased I did. I have learnt so much since starting at Maple Lodge, the current manager teaches me a lot as well. The manager supports me and hopefully trusts me with jobs being given and getting done, and I like the fact that the manager is approachable. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, listening to music and watching football.

Previous to working here I managed a team of customer service representatives, monitored customer feedback, coordinated logistics operations, and analysed data as a customer support and logistics supervisor for 5 years. I also work remotely as a data analyst. As the first child of the family, I started caring for my mom as she battled cancer for 3 years. After she passed, I made a decision to build a career in support work for people who require care. I volunteered as a support worker in a care home where I worked with people with learning impairments, autism, and the elderly.

I have worked in care and hospital settings, gaining many years of experience and also in a conflict environment providing humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons. My desire to work in the care setting was borne out of my experience of taking good care of my aged paternal grandfather, maternal grandmother and maternal grandfather before their passing. The thing I like most about working at Maple Lodge is that it is a nice place to work as there are shared responsibilities among my colleagues in the team. There is diversity and multiculturalism. The welcoming and friendly disposition of the manager, administrator and senior care assistants, who are ready to help at any given time is heart-melting. The manager and administrator are always ready to listen to staff and attend to their needs. The residents are the heart of the manager, who is friendly and always on her feet making sure the best quality care is provided to each and every one of them. Furthermore, the thing I also like most about working at Maple Lodge is I enjoy spending time with the residents and ensuring they are safe, clean and tidy. I have worked at Maple Lodge since 2022. I used to work in home care for about a year. Prior to that I worked with children in nurseries and got my level 2 in childcare. I chose to work in care as I really enjoy it and I find it extremely rewarding not one day is the same, every day is different and brings new challenges. I recently changed over the the domestic department as this suited my family life with a young child.
I always feel I go home having made a difference in the resident's day. I have no qualifications within care yet, but I'm aiming to do my care qualifications soon to better myself and to ensure I'm giving the best possible care to our residents and being the best I can possibly be.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. We go walking around North Yorkshire, as it's such a beautiful place. My husband and I challenged ourselves for charity a few years ago to walk the Yorkshire three peaks. I enjoyed the challenge and seeing how far we could push ourselves physically and mentally. I am married to Russell and have four children; a 20-year-old son, Christian, an 18-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn,, a 9-year-old son, George, and an 18-month-old daughter, Gabrielle. I have worked at Maple Lodge since 2021. I’m originally from South Wales but am now based here with my husband and two children.
I have worked as a carer in some capacity or another since the age of 21. After taking a break to have my children, I returned to being a carer. I believe that jobs in the care sector are one of the most important jobs there is and take a great deal of satisfaction at the end of a shift. I have a QCF level 2 in health and social care. I recently switched to a domestic position as my main role, as the hours suit my home life better.
Looking after my two children, one of whom is autistic, takes up the majority of my time, often attempting to balance forming some semblance of a social life whilst trying to cling on to my sanity! But I do enjoy attending my local church on Sundays and helping out with their mother and toddlers group.
The thing I like most about working at Maple Lodge is getting to know the residents and chatting to them about their lives. I also enjoy working as part of a team, and over the years, Maple Lodge has become a familiar home from home. I love how everyone works as a team to ensure that every resident has a great day, every day.
