I would like to thank the entire team for their care, kindness and compassion shown not only to our mother but also us as a family during mum’s last few weeks. Please know that this truly gives our family a sense of comfort knowing that mum was nursed in the best possible place. St Catherine’s is a
wonderful environment full of caring people and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

My husband looks very happy and is always clean and very very well cared for. He cannot do anything for himself. His room is always clean and tidy. The staff meets all his needs with a pleasant caring manner. His whole family are impressed with the home and care he is receiving. The staff always welcome
me and his family when visiting. The setting is restful and the grounds can be seen through all windows so you feel at home seeing the outside trees etc.

The team at St Catherine's cared for my mother in the last three weeks of her life. They made her comfortable and pain-free. They treated her with dignity and respect and respected my families and my mother's wishes throughout. The entire team were warm and welcoming and looked after me amazingly. They
offered practical help, lots of tea, sandwiches and biscuits. As well as hugs, someone to talk to, reassurance and the knowledge that they were there if I needed them. Everyone from the housekeeping team to the management took time to speak and having someone else there in the darkest times is invaluable.
When Mum passed we were looked after really well, giving my cousin and I time to say goodbye, not rushing us and giving us options as to what to do next. I can't thank the team enough. They are brilliantly led by the management team.

My Sister and I found the wonderful St Catherine's just over a year ago. Our Mum had spent time in various NHS specialist Dementia units the time had come for her to find a place that gave Nursing and Caring.
We both knew the moment we entered St Catherine's this was the place for us all.
The friendly
greeting given by the staff and very approachable attitude they had, made the choice of moving Mum here a very easy one.
After a couple of visits and the Manager visiting Mum, we joined the happy family team on 11th April 2017.
We have got to know all caring staff and lots of the other residents, we do like to be involved in Mums care.
Our Mum has been a complex case due to her Bi-Polar illness she has had from being young to the onset of Dementia in the past 15 years or so.
St Catherine's team have been amazing in being able to understand her needs and care for her so appropriately over the past year.
We both cant thank St Catherine's enough for the care our Mum is receiving.

Only the best was good enough for my dad and WOW! St Catherine's gives a fantastic level of care. My dad was there for end of life care and only stayed for a few days but the care, not only did he but us as a family, recieved was outstanding. He was comfortable, in a lovely bed with plenty of comfortable
pillows and covers. They treated him with the ultimate respect and love from the minute he arrived until he passed peacefully away. The whole staff team were friendly warm and welcoming from the moment we walked through the door, unanounced, to 'check them out'. The menus and food choices were varied and the quality was very high. St Catherines is immaculately clean and homely at the same time. If you need to find a loving, caring home for a love one St Catherine's is the place for them. I cannot praise them enough for what they did for my dad in his final few days.

The care in this home is wonderful. They looked after my Dad in his last few days and showed so much respect and care for his needs and kept him as comfortable as possible. They also looked after us with the same respect and care. They explained everything and spent time talking to us all and to Dad.

We are happy with the care my father is receiving at St Catherine's and more importantly, so is my father. He praises the care staff and their care and attention as well as the cleanliness. His only gripe appears to be about the quality of food at times.

Found a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and a caring environment, like a large family home.
Staff always helpful and sensitive in dealing with relatives. The staff were particularly caring during dads last few days and could have done more. We have no complaints at all.

My mum was a resident at St Catherine's for 7years. She was treated with kindness, love and respect. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff. In the last year of mum's life, a new manager was put in place and with her team, in my eyes, have stepped up the game plan, I.E. All staff seemed to
have a lot more training courses and staff appeared happier.

My mother has been a resident of the home for the past 10 months and is much more content/relaxed than when she was living on her own. She often comments how lucky she is to be a resident here. She feels safe and secure, which is reassuring to her family. The staff are very attentive to all the resident's
needs, and they show a huge amount of compassion and support.

We are extremely happy with the care our mum is getting at St Catherine's. All the nurses and carers are kind, considerate and look after all the residents so well.
The food is excellent and they spend time with each resident making sure they are eating well. They serve regular drinks and snacks, making
sure all residents are hydrated. The home is always clean and the manager is always working hard in the office making sure the home is run well, but best of all the wonderful staff are caring for the residents in a fantastic way.


What a gem of a home we have found!! (and I can say this because our mum aged 83 now has spent her whole life in mental health units, hospitals and care homes). Well Done St Catherine's and Wellburn you are very lucky to have such a great team!

Lee

Lee Dale

Job Title: Senior Manager - Dementia Services

Joined: 2021

Lee has worked in the health and social care sector since 2004. Within this time, he has covered many roles working his way up from Care Assistant and previously a Peripatetic and Turnaround Manager before becoming Home Manager at St George’s, Glenholme House and Eighton Lodge. Lee currently is the Senior Manager at our Specialist dementia homes, St Catherine’s and The Manor at St Catherine’s.


Having worked in care management for 10 years, managing his first home at the age of 24, Lee brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in residential, dementia and nursing care.


Qualifications include:
- NVQ Levels 2, 3 & 5
- Level 3 Administration of Medication
- Moving & Handling Train the Trainer
- Basic Life Support Train the Trainer


Lindsey

Lindsey Mckee

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Joined: 2008

Lindsey's career with Wellburn started in 2008 at St Catherine's as a part-time administrator before she gradually began working shifts as a care assistant alongside her role as an administrator. Lindsey then became a full-time administrator before being promoted to Senior Support Worker at St Catherine's in 2023. In 2024, Lindsey was recently promoted to Deputy Manager of St Catherine's and The Manor at St Catherine's.


Qualifications include:
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
