My uncle is cared for by fantastic people in a very pleasant environment.
The staff are friendly, kind, fun and very caring. The facilities are clean, well decorated and the location is very good and pleasant.

Our mum has been in the home for 8 years. During this time we have seen a few staff and management changes. But Mum has always been cared for in an appropriate manner. She has deteriorated over the years and care has adapted accordingly ie: the correct bed with ripple mattress, listening to Mum's and
our concerns and seeing to her needs. The rooms are spacious with room for some of Mum's belongings. Food has been adapted (pureed). We have been happy with Mum's care here.

My mum moved here from another care home who just couldn't meet her needs. She moved into the residential wing, even though the other home said she needed a nursing home. My mum has Parkinson's and Alzheimer's and was having really bad hallucinations, the past home kept her in bed most days also because
she can't walk. She was on Parkinson's meds 4x a day and they assured us they were always given on time, which I witnessed different. Since moving here, Mum is up every day has medication on time, joins in with all activities, and her meds have been reduced to twice a day, with very few hallucinations and communicating with staff and other residents. Mum's only been at Sutton Lodge since middle of September, but the change is amazing, Mum is back thanks to all the staff who work there, brilliant.

My mother has been a resident here for just over 3 years since being diagnosed with dementia. The service and attention provided is of a good quality. All the staff, led by an excellent management team, are always friendly and caring. Any concerns are addressed immediately and solutions found for any
particular problems encountered. A good range of activities are provided and any issues that arise are brought to my attention promptly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to others.

My father-in-law was initially here till he passed away 31/8/23. He had dementia, the care and support towards him was second to none and the support to us as a family was brilliant.
My mother-in-law has just moved from a care home to Sutton Lodge, they couldn't cope with her needs, but Sutton Lodge
has taken her in as a care resident not nursing needs, and she in 2 weeks has transformed. We have got our mother back. Thanks to the care team at Sutton Lodge, can't praise enough.

My mother has been a resident at Sutton Hall & Sutton Lodge for 5 years. When she first arrived none of us expected her to be around for much longer. But moving to Sutton Lodge was the best thing for my mother. Over the years she has been cared for extremely well. Now in the last 2 years, Mum has got
'better'. She smiles, talks, shows interest and has a great quality of life. All down to the loving care and stimulating environment in which she lives. Thanks to all for making this wonderful transformation happen.

The management team and all the carers I have met are absolutely terrific. Mum has settled well and is calm and is allowed to potter as she pleases. She had self-neglect on arrival due to dementia and now looks well and eats well. The home has been a Godsend to me and I think the level of care is outstanding.

I am my cousin's only relative and as I live quite a way from the care home I cannot visit as often as I would like. The staff are extremely good at keeping me informed about my cousin's health and moods. She is always clean and dressed nicely when I visit.

I felt warmth on my very first visit. All the staff had the right amount of friendliness and gave me confidence in the home straight away. I feel that my husband received excellent care and had a good relationship with the carers.

It is a very welcoming home. The staff are very kind, caring and supportive and help in any way they can. The food is fantastic, and we are given lots of choices. My bedroom is lovely, and I have been able to decorate/furnish it to my taste. The management is always on hand for a chat and always listens
to me and my family. The activities are second to none - art was my favourite subject at school, so I am spoilt for choice with the activity schedule!
Nothing is ever too much for anyone, and I am extremely happy here.

Our dad moved into the home at the end of November 2022 and has settled in really well. He has dementia and other health needs and has been looked after really well. All the staff at the home, in all their different roles, are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are all so kind and caring.

They have looked after my cousin with care and gentleness. Weekends are rather quiet. The room has a view of a garden and birds, squirrels (and cats)!

Our dad has only been a resident at Sutton Hall & Sutton Lodge for eight weeks following four months in the hospital. Dad has dementia, and it gives us peace of mind knowing that he is safe and cared for by such kind and patient staff. He has settled in really well, and the staff have been very supportive.
We have visited frequently and have always been warmly welcomed. The home is in a lovely location, and Dad's room has everything that he needs. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sutton Hall 7 Sutton Lodge.

My mum stayed here for respite. There were so many faults with this home. Too many different agency staff. We were sold this place when we first visited and it sounded and looked the ideal place. Turned out it wasn't! The pull cord in the shower room broke the first day, which we reported and 4 days
later still wasn't fixed. Mum fell and we were not informed, Mum told us herself. The food was awful. Curried cauliflower soup one day which I tasted and it burnt my throat let alone Mum's. Bins weren't emptied regularly. We asked for a female member of staff to care for Mum's personal needs, but this was totally ignored and young males were used which Mum was devastated by. Buzzers were going off continually whilst we visited Mum and also we could hear them every time we rang her. Communication is almost non-existent. Dementia residents were left with no staff in the dining room. I could go on!

The only good thing about Sutton Hall was the view from the French window. My husband asked for help getting dressed and was refused, he complained about a sore ankle and was ignored, which turned into an infected abscess and is still needing treatment two months on, and the report says it could be
up to two years before it heals.
The food was poor and a lot of the time cold.
Dementia patients wandered into his room at night, so they locked my husband in - very dangerous.
Some of the staff were ok, but management was poor.

I was beginning to think that Sutton Lodge was finally getting to grips with my husband's care, but how wrong was I.
My husband passed away suddenly on 26th October 2022 after just three days of illness.
Day one - management sent for a GP but did not attend, diagnosed over the phone with a chest infection,
antibiotics issued, but still not received the late evening, why didn't management chase them up?
Day two - A GP called again and actually attended, but by this time, he was very ill.
Day three - management was very attentive and couldn't do enough, and my husband was comfortable but passed away that evening, Wednesday 26th October 2022.
I want answers from management as to why I was not told he had had a bad reaction to being given the Covid Booster and the Flu injection together. Why were his belongings not itemised, items missing etc.
Why have I not heard a word from management since the day he passed - how caring is that.
