My husband has been well looked after in this nursing home. I visit him most days as I live nearby. I am always kept informed regarding his care or any more difficult incidents such as falls or infections.
The staff are friendly, kind and helpful and generally deal effectively with his complex needs.

It is now over 5 1/2 years since my husband has been cared for at Sutton Lodge. I trust them all completely as my husband really does seem to be relaxed and safe in the home, which means I find the situation far easier to live with. It is especially good that I feel I can approach all staff if I have
any queries.

I can't praise the staff enough at Sutton Hall & Sutton Lodge for their compassion and attention to detail in every aspect of taking care of my mother choosing a care home is one of the most difficult decisions I have had to make but I definitely made the right choice. Nothing is too much trouble for
the staff from the management to the housekeeping staff in this difficult stage of my mother's life they help her to maintain her dignity which is very important for both her and the family.

This care home is lovely.
Not only are the surroundings very pleasant, the care that is delivered is of a good standard.
The care home staff work hard to ensure dad's needs are met and the activities the home provides are really good.
Tea dances, barbecue, singers, concerts, charity events and trips
out.
Last week dad had a trip to Malham.
Besides all the good times, when dad needs more support the staff are always there for him.

With Mum already in the home receiving outstanding care it was a natural and easy decision to ask for further support from the home's manager to assist with the discharge of Dad from hospital. The manager responded without any delay and agreed to Dad's admission. Dad was a little resistant to the care
home concept but within the first 5 minutes of being in the home, his fears were rapidly de-escalated by the very warm welcome we all received.


All of the staff were well informed about Dad and were able to mention his love of horse racing. This immediately got Dad talking and smiling.


When Dad first saw Mum he started to cry and was in total awe of "how well she looked". During my visits, I have consistently witnessed extremely high care standards and strong team approaches. I feel very well informed and extremely content. Both Mum and Dad are now back together and are receiving care which in my view is second to none. In the recent hot weather, hydration has been high on the home's agenda.

The home is very good and kept clean. The staff are excellent and my room is cleaned every day. The caring staff are very kind and helpful, especially a particular carer who encourages me to stretch myself in walking a little further.
The food is quite acceptable but sometimes it is a little cold
by the time it reaches me. My Husband and family are made very welcome whenever they visit, in the case of my husband every day.

There has been a few problems since my mother moved in in April 2016. But some things still worry me. My brother had to go buy a plunger to try and sort out a blocked sink, he has also fixed a bed, unfortunately, it did not sort the problem out. They should have called an emergency plumber, but no it
was put on the list for maintenance to sort after the weekend!


My mother does not eat that much, in fact, I am concerned as to a number of calories she has in 24 hours. The one thing she will eat is ice cream, yet time and time again the home does not have any. It is not difficult to store and as her diet is yoghurt and ice cream then they should always have it in.
