My father was a resident taken in at very short notice. He was very ill and rallied within a couple of weeks. He settled in the home and was contented there. Staff were friendly and helpful always. The room could have done with redecoration but on the whole we were very satisfied with his care. He died
earlier this year. Some staff even came to his funeral service.

I have always found the staff considerate and friendly. The premises are clean and well cared for. Currently there is building work going on which does not add to the attractiveness. We have used Connaught Court both with family and friends and found it a wonderful environment. Today we have called
to see an old and dear friend and found him happy and very well cared for. I believe Connaught Court to be a treasure.

Visited our friend, who wasn't feeling very well today. A visit to his doctor had been arranged for this morning, a carer to take him in a wheelchair. Full marks. He rates Connaught Court highly, as do the many other friends who have been here over many years.

My mother came into the home in June 2015. She has settled well and loves the food! This was a major worry as she is a vegetarian. We love the atmosphere and the fact that there are animals about the place as my mother loves dogs. We feel happy that she is well looked after and in a safe environment.
We have confidence in the staff.

Amazing caring environment, specially adapted to dementia patients. On site hairdresser to do hair for both ladies and gents who is fantastic with all residents. Mum is treated with dignity and love at all times and in 3 years I have never had any issues or cause for concern. My family and I thank our
lucky stars every day that mum is able to be here and are eternally grateful to every single staff member.

My parents moved to Connaught Court last year and it has given them a new lease of life! The care they experience is outstanding and the staff cannot do enough for them. The environment is beautiful and I am always impressed by and amused by all the decanters of sherry everywhere - except there are
never any glasses when I am passing! There is a varied programme of entertainment and plenty of stimuli, particularly for my dad who enjoys having other men to talk to.

This residential home is excellent in every respect. The accommodation is comfortable, the staff are very caring, friendly and respectful. Requests are dealt with promptly, entertainment and activities are provided. Residents sit where they like in the lounges and form small friendly groups as they
as they wish, often sharing a glass of sherry (provided free by 'the friends of Connaught Court') Services are provided in the chapel.

Connaught Court is an RMBI Home and is occupied by elderly Freemasons and/or their dependants. The facilities here are par/excellence and as good as, if not better, than many hotels in the UK. Residents are means tested prior to acceptance and in no way feel they are receiving charity. The accommodation
is first class, as area all the facilities including; food, entertainment, laundry, washing, etc. There is a large lounge/cinema, dinging rooms, chapel, gardens, car park and reception desk etc.

After being told by hospital doctors I had a condition in both legs which could lead to gangrene and amputation. I didn't want any of my three sons and their partners to have the responsibility of caring for me so I applied here in Connaught Court, and although I am still relatively fit, no one knows
what's around the corner, you can see by the ratings I have given for Connaught Court what I think of this care home!

Marinda Aydinalp

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2014

Marinda Aydinalp joined Connaught Court as Deputy Home Manager in June 2014. In February 2022, she was promoted to Home Manager.


Marinda demonstrates clear vision, passion and dedication for the residents in her care. She played a significant part in Connaught Court being rated ‘Outstanding’ by CQC in 2023.


Marinda leads a highly experienced and dedicated team. She inspires them by being a role model in both her leadership and her passion for delivering the best care for residents.


Marinda has achieved the Dementia Care Mapping qualification whilst also pursuing an NVQ Level 5 Apprenticeship Programme. This demonstrates her commitment to continuously expanding her knowledge, enabling her to provide exceptional dementia care.


Marinda has created a Namaste Room, which allows residents living with dementia to enjoy a relaxing environment. The room has sensory equipment, including tactile walls, fibre optic lights, a star projector and bubble tubes, which support residents’ mental health and well-being.
