Byker Hall is located in Newcastle's Byker area and is a luxury, purpose built Residential, Nursing and Dementia care home and is managed by Gary Lewis Care Group which has over 30 years of experience caring for older people.

Established amongst the best care homes in the Newcastle, Tyne and Wear area, Byker Hall has consistently received excellent reviews for its quality of care.

This purpose built care home offers accommodation in single occupancy rooms, all of which are with en-suite facilities.

Byker Hall provides a TV lounge and a quiet sitting room on each floor. The home also provides separate dining rooms, where residents can socialise at meal times. Traditional home cooking using fresh produce is served with daily menus being available. Special diets can be catered for.

Regular visits are made to the home by an experienced hair stylist and a qualified chiropodist. Complementary therapies can be arranged for residents.

The home also offers a variety of activities.

Mam came into the care home beginning of December 2024 and has been cared for since her arrival. Cannot fault the carers or any other members of staff, they have been great with Mam. I would not have put her in Byker Hall Care Home if I was not satisfied, it has always been a good care home. She has
been much happier since she came.

I can not speak highly enough for the care my mam receives in Byker Hall Care Home. All staff are kind and respectful of all of the residents.
My brother and I were worried and quite reluctant to put my mam into care but once we came to Byker Hall, we felt relief that Mam was going to live in a special
place. Apart from great care, I am amazed at all of the entertainment and fun everyone has.

My mum was here for about five years, sadly she passed away in July but over the last five years, we couldn't have asked for anything better. She was cared for as if she was part of the family. It was always a friendly place to go into with lots of activities and entertainment for the residents to keep
them busy.
Not only did they care for my mum but for my family too, we stayed with her for three nights in her room. They constantly came in to check we were ok as well as Mum. They provided us with a care pack with support sheets, coffee, tea, toiletries and much more. Such a caring touch for any family.
Amazing, caring staff throughout, including carers, cleaners and admin staff.

My mam was well cared for in Byker Hall Care Home. She was very happy and settled there and classed it as her 'home'. The staff were amazing, going over and above their normal duties. She was well looked after with all her needs being catered for. She has since passed away but we know she was happy

My mother-in-law was in Byker Hall for nearly five years. Initially, her dementia was such that she was able to participate in all activities, even helping wash up! She was taken to the pantomime and excursions out for ice cream. She loved the staff and felt very secure. Towards the end, when she was
bedridden, the staff were extremely attentive, even though, at times, there weren't enough of them. When she passed recently, they were very sensitive and clearly upset to lose her. They are amazing people.

Mum had been resident at Byker Hall Care Home for over 5 years, and was so well cared for. She struggled with her Alzheimer's, and was initially restless, but very soon settled into her new home.The entire staff were always caring and accommodating with both her, and our family.
She always said she
felt safe and well looked after there.
Her room was fine, good facilities, any issues or requests we had were always dealt with in a timely manner.
She loved taking part in the arranged activities, especially ones that involved music and dancing, of which there seemed many.
As her illness progressed, her care became more 'hands on', but always first class from everyone.
As our mum's illness progressed, the staff couldn't be more helpful. They allowed us to stay in her room, brought us beds, and made sure we were comfortable.
Sadly, our mum passed away in July, but again, the management and staff were so professional and caring, and a massive help.
We have nothing but praise for everyone at Byker Hall.

We had a Pride event at the weekend where all residents attended and had great fun. We have many events and trips planned.
