Byker Hall is located in Newcastle's Byker area and is a luxury, purpose built Residential, Nursing and Dementia care home and is managed by Gary Lewis Care Group which has over 30 years of experience caring for older people.

Established amongst the best care homes in the Newcastle, Tyne and Wear area, Byker Hall has consistently received excellent reviews for its quality of care.

This purpose built care home offers accommodation in single occupancy rooms, all of which are with en-suite facilities.

Byker Hall provides a TV lounge and a quiet sitting room on each floor. The home also provides separate dining rooms, where residents can socialise at meal times. Traditional home cooking using fresh produce is served with daily menus being available. Special diets can be catered for.

Regular visits are made to the home by an experienced hair stylist and a qualified chiropodist. Complementary therapies can be arranged for residents.

The home also offers a variety of activities.

Byker Hall Care Home gives a Fair Price Guarantee and will not charge any more than that recommended by Newcastle City Council to make it as affordable as possible for the elderly community.

My sister was a resident for three years with excellent care and when she passed away, that care and attention showed even more to her family. My brother has been a resident for a year now and his care is of the best yo could wish for.

My Nana has been a resident for a few months I find this home very good. My Nana is very happy here and the staff are always so friendly. Visiting is always relaxed and I can come anytime. Nana's room is nice and has everything that she needs.

I find the home very relaxed and I can see my friend is very comfortable, happy, and well cared for. I noticed there was a newer manager around on my visits, I had some questions and I found the manager approachable, she answered all my questions and put my mind at ease. There a some very lovely staff
in the home, and I am always made to feel welcome.

My father in Byker Hall Care Home we have found it very pleasant for him, the staff can't do enough for you. The meals are well planned and implemented. My father has medication four times a day and the nursing staff are great.

Very welcoming walk around on initial viewing of the home, everyone said hello from the carers to the cleaners.
Carers were very supportive and caring towards me when I was upset transitioning my mam into the home. My mam settled in well and enjoys the company, food and care that she receives every
day. The choice and quality of food on offer is great and the activities keep my mam engaged and brings joy to the home. The home is spotless, it is cleaned daily and is very secure which gives peace of mind.

Wonderful care shown to my father. He has been made comfortable in every way and they help to keep his spirits up.
As well as concentrating mainly on my father they have been very kind to all of his family when visiting there.

Byker Hall is a pleasant, bright, clean and friendly place to visit. A well-organised reception, which was safely administered during the peak of the pandemic. I have found the staff from cleaners, carers, seniors, reception and manager to be very supportive, caring and helpful to my mam and myself. They treat all residents with respect and try very hard to maintain their dignity at all times, I have found the staff have kept me informed of any issues regarding
the health of my mam, calling nursing care, doctor or district nurses and ambulance when advised to do so. The staff are regularly scanning and reading my mam's blood sugars, relaying results to district nurses, they then react quickly to try keep Mam's readings at a safe level for her. I have always found her room clean and a problem with her room light was quickly resolved.

My sister became a resident of Byker Hall Care Home in August 2021. She had been in hospital and was not very well, but within the first month, she had regained some of her weight loss and her health improved. Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic restricted family visits to non-contact, but we could meet
her by the use of the pod, having a clear screen between us. This has now changed, and we meet regularly in her room or outside if the weather is good. From day one of her stay she has been treated by the carers, as a friend, and the relationship between her and any of the carers is wonderful to see. She is very content, being in a setting where she can see and chat to many people and enjoys the food, which she always remarks on, as being lovely. Speaking for the other members of my family who visit my sister, I can say that the management and staff have always been great and the carers are brilliant, as it's very refreshing when they can say that they love the job, they do.

I have been visiting this care home for a number of years as my nana is a resident. When I initially found out she was going into a home I was very sad and down as I felt that this was the end for her. I had not much experience with care homes and it did not seem right. This care home and staff have
changed my mind completely. My nana is well looked after, happy and always involved in regular activities that keep her and her mind active. I would like to thank all the staff and management for everything they do for her and the family. She is well cared for and always happy with being there. Dementia might be something she is suffering from but she always has a smile and likes where she is. She is always commenting on it being home sweet home.
