Byker Hall is located in Newcastle's Byker area and is a luxury, purpose built Residential, Nursing and Dementia care home and is managed by Gary Lewis Care Group which has over 30 years of experience caring for older people.

Established amongst the best care homes in the Newcastle, Tyne and Wear area, Byker Hall has consistently received excellent reviews for its quality of care.

This purpose built care home offers accommodation in single occupancy rooms, all of which are with en-suite facilities.

Byker Hall provides a TV lounge and a quiet sitting room on each floor. The home also provides separate dining rooms, where residents can socialise at meal times. Traditional home cooking using fresh produce is served with daily menus being available. Special diets can be catered for.

Regular visits are made to the home by an experienced hair stylist and a qualified chiropodist. Complementary therapies can be arranged for residents.

The home also offers a variety of activities.

Complete redevelopment of the home is now under way transforming the look and the existing facilities to make Byker Hall the most luxurious and prestigious Care Home in East Newcastle area.

Byker Hall Care Home gives a Fair Price Guarantee and will not charge any more than that recommended by Newcastle City Council to make it as affordable as possible for the elderly community.

My mother recently had an accident in her room. The staff were excellent in looking after her when she was released from hospital while she was recuperating while wearing a plaster cast on her let and continue to do so before her mishap. The staff treat all of the residents with politeness and dignity.

At Byker Hall, all the staff are very caring. You can approach them whenever you need to talk to them, they are always busy. Sometimes they deal with some difficult situations, but in my opinion, they handle themselves very well.

I have found Byker Hall activities to be outstanding. My mother is happy and feels safe, she also enjoys the food. The manager has accommodated our every wish, the staff are all very friendly. The home and Mams room are kept very clean. When I visit I am alway's made welcome, reception staff always
greet me with a smile, the home has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Overall the home is well run.

In early December 2016 my dad came to Byker Hall for respite care, initially for a few weeks. My dad has dementia and Byker Hall was to give my mother a bit of respite from looking after my dad. Byker Hall is my dad's home now and I am so grateful for the care he receives. The carers always have
a positive attitude and I can honestly say I have not once seen them lose their temper, or been grumpy with the residents or visitors.


Dad's care is first class and I am so grateful for their attention to my dad. They are truly a wonderful set of people.

My mother went into Byker Hall in April 2016 following a stroke, also suffering from dementia. We didn't expect her to survive more than a few weeks but with the care and attention staff gave mam, we were very fortunate to have a further year with her. They really brought mam on, getting her motivated
with activities and outings. I would recommend this care home to anyone looking for nursing care.

My dear husband has only been in Byker Hall for a week, but in that short time, I have to say that the care he has had so far has been exemplary. The manager and staff are all absolutely wonderful and the compassion they have shown to me is very much appreciated. This is such a comfortable and clean

My darling mother- in-law has been living in Byker Hall for one year now.
Before she went to live there she was very confused and distressed. She often told us (her family) she was lonely and unhappy.
After months of searching, we found Byker Hall. And now I'm so happy to say what a lovely place
it is. It's spotlessly clean, brilliant activities every day, the food great and if that's not enough the staff are amazing. One year on our mum is safe, settled, clean, and well fed, she hasn't been ill in all that time, but best of all she is not lonely!
I know how harrowing it is to make the massive decision for your parent or loved one to live in care, but I have to say how grateful I am to the manager and staff for giving me the comfort of knowing mum is so well cared for and is happy. They treat her with dignity and respect, they are caring and friendly. I would definitely recommend Byker Hall.

Byker Hall is an excellent care home for both respite and nursing care. Our mother has been previously at the care home for 2 respite visits. We were so impressed by the excellent care, friendliness and dedication from staff that we did not hesitate to place her there again but on this occasion for
nursing care. I would highly recommend that if you are looking for a care home for your relative you give them a visit.

Everybody is so friendly, you are greeted at the entrance by reception and manager. So helpful and easy to talk to about any issues you may have. A very friendly and caring home.
