Waverley Lodge Care Home is located in Newcastle's Lemington suburb and is close to amenities, shops, public transport and the A1(M). The Metro Centre is just two miles away.

This purpose built care home provides accommodation in single occupancy rooms, most of which have en-suite facilities. Some are spacious enough for sharing.

Waverley Lodge features TV lounges and a quiet sitting room where residents can relax. Separate dining rooms, where residents socialise at meal times, are also available. Traditional home cooking using fresh produce is served and daily choices are available. Special diets can be catered for.

Residents may benefit from the regular visits made to the home by an experienced hair stylist and qualified chiropodist. Complementary therapies can be arranged.

The home also provides a variety of activities for residents.

My mother has been well looked after by all the staff. She enjoys the days out and the activities within the home. The home is always clean and tidy and the staff are excellent. At the minute it's being redecorated. They are doing a good job looking after my mum and her friends. My mum's room it's a
nice size with a wardrobe and drawers. She has her own toilet which is always clean. They have a TV room and the freedom to walk around all day long and all night, without the worry of anyone getting out. I would recommend this home just because the staff are one in a million. They work so hard but love the job so much the loving care they give to everyone. It's just like one big family and they have time to stop and talk to the families if they need any help, as well they had a very good team from the carers, from the chef from the handyman and management as well. They are always so happy and helpful.

Mum was only in Waverley Lodge for a couple of months. the care she received was fantastic. all her needs were catered to the staff went above and beyond from the Manager, Admin staff, Carers and the handyman. All showed an interest in Mum's needs and we were welcomed on every visit and informed of
Mum's changing needs. Waverley Lodge may not be the poshest home to look at but the care Mum received was fantastic. Mum died comfortably and with dignity. Thank you to all the staff.

My father arrived at the care home in April this year suffering from Dementia, he had previously been in sheltered housing but the Dementia had progressed to the stage that he needed full-time care.
He arrived worried and confused as you would expect, but very quickly the staff made home feel at home
Within
a week or two, he was loving it there and had begun to make some friends and had actually put on weight, he loved the meals.
The staff are excellent and always attentive.

My sister-in-law is on the main corridor down to the lounge so it tends to be a bit noisy and busy. The staff have been brilliant. Any concerns have been addressed quickly and although no one wants to be in a home the move has been efficient and my sister-in-law, after a time of low mood is more settled
and relaxed.

As a Health Care Professional, Sue has many years of experience in providing care and support for older people, helping to enrich their lives in the process. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Sue uses her experience to motivate the team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Sue said, “The Residents, the people. Hearing laughter in the home and supporting Residents to fulfil their hopes and dreams. Everything is possible with the right love and support behind you.”
