At Prince’s Court Care Home the staff pride themselves on giving visitors a warm and welcoming greeting when they arrive, whoever they are. That’s what you’d expect, because Prince’s Court is in North Shields, close to Newcastle and in the North East people are known for their friendliness and hospitality.

Staff at the home are very professional, committed and caring, and work hard to forge close relationships with residents, getting to know as much as possible the residents’ individual needs, their likes and dislikes – to really know and understand them. They do the same with their families and friends, who they encourage to visit and get involved in activities, as much as possible.

Regular resident meetings are held, where they discuss what’s happening in the home and every effort is made to get them to be part of the decision-making process and to be involved in the running of the home.

Both my parents were admitted to the rehab unit. Mother after fractured shoulder and arm, Father, a chest infection/heart failure led to stroke symptoms being worse. The staff are supportive, caring and conscientious. They did a great job. I know my parents were safe and well cared for.

I was in Prince's Court for respite from 9th September to 30th September. My stay was wonderful. Every one of the staff was friendly and very supportive, caring. Nothing was too much bother. My room was lovely, with a TV. I was able to see everyone coming and going. The meals I requested were fresh
every day, lovely food. I can't thank the Manager and nursing staff and carers, night and day enough, for looking after me. Wonderful home decor, lovely. Thank you.

From the moment I entered the home, I was greeted by very caring and friendly staff. They are always smiling. I am confident for my husband to be cared for by them. His personal care and hygiene are carried out with dignity and he is looked after just as I would have done. I will say that I am included
in his care, they let me know how he is progressing, being informed of all his treatment and also told everytime that a professional is consulted about his treatment/care. They have special ways to encourage him to eat and drink. They deserve a 5-star rating. The whole home is run to a very high standard, all staff are happy in their work community with each other so that everybody feels at home there. The change in my husband is remarkable and for the first time in a year, since his move to Prince's Court. I feel confident he is looked after. Thank you to all the staff.

I am so happy and impressed with the difference in my nanna since she moved here from her previous home. She always looks clean, the staff are amazing with her. Her mental state is much improved and she even says she is happy now. My mind is at ease now she lives at Princes Court as I know she is well
cared for.

My mother became a resident here three years ago and, although I am unable to visit as much as I would like because of distance, I am very pleased and appreciative of all of her carers who are very dedicated to their profession.
I am very happy that my mum is being looked after so well and that all
of her needs are attended to. I enjoy coming to see mum and even though she has difficulties now with things, she is still my mum with the same personality.

Princes Court - wow what can I say. My grandma went to the home in March. The family couldn't ask for better staff and the level of checking on the patients is fantastic. I could not think of a better place where my grandma could have been. That why the family picked Prince's Court.


I would highly

recommend this care home, the management is fab, excellent staff levels so please visit this nursing home. If you are in the processes of putting your loved one in a nursing home, the cleaning is fab. They came in my grandma room every day and clean the units and clean the toilet. So why don't you came along for a visit before you put your loved one in this fab nursing home?

My elderly mother was transferred to Princes Court after a very traumatic couple of weeks following admission to the local hospital. She spent her final few days in room 28. The care she received in order to make her passing as dignified and pain-free as possible was exemplary. Also, the compassion
shown by staff, in particular, the deputy manager, the two male nurses who led the staff team overnight and the visiting female doctor could not be faulted. My sister and I are also extremely grateful for the caring and support we and the family received at this very difficult time.

My father lived at Princes Court for almost a year and passed away here a couple of days ago. The staff were compassionate and professional. I was a nurse and another family member is an NHS consultant: we know what excellent care is and that is what my father received at Princes Court. The whole

This care home is outstanding. My mother was transferred to it for private care in the last 12 days of her life. Every member of staff, from cleaners to carers, to nurses to doctors were amazing. Caring, friendly, professional, sympathetic and genuine. Every member of staff was friendly, welcoming and
kind. This extended to every member of family who visited. I cannot praise this home highly enough. A big thank you.

Recently a relative was transferred from hospital to Prince's Court for what turned out to be end of life care. She was too ill to use the facilities and was there for too short a time for me to comment properly on value for money - other than to say that the care given was priceless.
All the staff
I met were brilliant but I do have to mention the nursing staff in particular, who treated my aunt with such care and kindness. I was perfectly happy to go home for a few days (some 300 miles away) and not worry that she was being looked after. The staff managed her pain and obvious distress with great compassion but still managed to give relatives a few moments of quality time with her towards the end.
As relatives, we were also looked after - communication with relatives was excellent at all times.
I will always remember the nursing staff were as upset at losing a patient, as we were at losing an aunt.

Excellent care and facilities - residents and families are treat like one of the family. Excellent and approachable management and staff. My mum has been in Prince's Court as a patient on the palliative side for five months during this time mums care and support has been second to none. As well as caring for family members during this very upsetting time. The manager is first class and very hands on, she is totally approachable and I
feel able to talk to her about mums on going care. The carers are fantastic and work extremely hard providing extra support to us all. Standards of cleaning are first class and the rooms are cleaned regularly. Mum is treated with care and dignity and all her needs are met. First class home.
