Mam has been in the care home for two years, the staff are very friendly and really helpful. Nothing is too much trouble.
Mam enjoys the activities. She went to a tea dance the other day, she likes the bingo and the activities.

My auntie has been in Harton Grange since 2014 and she could not have been looked after by anyone else. It's a joy to come into Harton Grange, all the staff are very helpful and caring, they are a credit to Barchester. I have always been informed of any changes in my aunties condition and of any medication
changes.

The home is a lovely place with pleasant staff. My sister-in-law has had wonderful care, also good medical care and she is beginning to settle in as she has only been here since February. We are very pleased that she was able to go to Horton Grange.

I have been coming to Harton Grange for 3yrs to see my auntie. I have been around a lot of homes and can honestly say in my opinion, is a very good home, staff are friendly and caring. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they treat residents with respect.
We can speak to management and they are
always helpful and always offer refreshments to us when we go into Harton Grange.
I can go home at night and relax knowing my auntie is well looked after.

I would like to put pen to paper and praise the staff of Harton Grange for the care my mother received. It was at first a great step to look for the extra care mother needed at her time of life but the staff at Harton Grange have taken all those worries away by their professional and very caring help

Mam has been at Harton Grange for 9 years. If it wasn't for their excellent care she would not be here today. Mam always says she enjoys the meals and that there is plenty. The home is always clean and the staff busy.
We are always informed of any medical appointments or medication for Mam and if
there are events happening at the home.
There are activities and trips out, crafts and entertainment for anyone who wants to join in.

Myself and family looked for a care home for our dear mother who at the time was 87, November 2015, after visiting a good few care homes in the area we came upon Harton Grange Care Home and instantly felt at home by the staff. Mum was made very welcome by all she has been here just over a year now and
all the staff bend over backwards to look after her. She has attended all the parties and get-togethers run by the staff sometimes in their own time, we couldn't have found anywhere better, it's actually home from home x

Staff at the home are always friendly and welcoming. I always feel my mam is getting the care and support she needs. She is well looked after by carers who have a great understanding of her condition. I feel mam is safe at all times which makes my life easier knowing she is being cared for by people
who care. My only niggle would be sometimes items of her clothing have gone missing, even when labelled but this is understandable.

Mam was given a lovely room. The staff are lovely. Food is lovely, carers do give Mam a lot of attention when she's feeling anxious when I can't be here. When she has her meals, myself and my brother are always offered a meal too. Staff are always coming round with coffee and biscuits with a lovely
friendly caring manner.

My mother has dementia, after working in an office until the age of 73. The staff at Harton Grange treat her with dignity and she enjoys a personal rapport with them and in spite of dementia, her own personality is encouraged. The musical entertainments frequently held are enjoyable to my mother and
other residents. I chose this home in part because it was dog-friendly. Her dog was always welcomed and she particularly liked the chef at garden party buffet events.

Across the board, the staff try their best to make my mother comfortable and happy and entertained.,
Special mention to those who give you their time to fundraise doing raffles and bingo, pie and a peas night, artwork, animals to pet and having her nails done was a first for my mother who is 94 years
old.

My mother was so against going into a home in July 2015 so had already decided she would not like this move at all. I eventually realised she was now needing the 24 hour care that myself and my eldest son could not give her. We realised that she was becoming isolated, lonely and now required the company
that only her own age group could give her. She was becoming anxious which was leading to aggression towards us whenever we left her alone for any length of time. I therefore realised she needed the stability of a good caring environment to help her settle down and she could then trust a good care team to help and support her. I felt this would comfort her, allowing her to have the quality of life she now deserves in her twilight years.


Within days of her moving into Harton Grange she became a different person from the last few years when we thought we had lost her and did not known who she was. We were given a fabulous welcome from the manager and her team who opened their arms out to my mother and us as her family. My mother was loved by everyone and she glowed with the attention she was given, she was encouraged to participate in the many activities the home provided for their residents. Beautiful surroundings, fantastic garden, many things to do daily including outings on their own transport. My mother absolutely loves her room, the staff, her new-found friends and I now know she is happy when she sometimes has not got time for me when I visit as she is now too busy to talk to me and dismisses me. Haha
Thank you Harton Grange I honestly do not think we could have found a home anywhere as good as this one! You are all doing a fantastic job when your residents settle in to their surrounding so quickly and extremely happy! What more could I ask for my mother?

Job Title: General Manager

Hi, my name is Judith, and I am General Manager here at Harton Grange.


I have worked in the care industry since 2000. I have an NVQ Level 4 in Leadership & Management and a Level 3 in End of Life Care. I am kind and compassionate and I focus on providing a safe, warm and caring environment for everyone I support.


I have extensive experience in building positive relationships and embedding the key principles of care in those I work alongside.
