What an amazing team of carers, every single one was wonderful. Her visit was quite short, but Mam loved her time here. The care and respect they showed her was second to none. As a family we were also very supported. We can't thank them enough.

Abysmal, invisible staff, unprofessional manager, lack of knowledge when using equipment. My father was left in a wheelchair or chair (slumped) he needed to be on a pressure cushion to relieve pressure. Lack of stimulation for all residents, some were left in bed or allowed to wander in pyjamas. Lack
of maintenance (socket handing off wall) and lack of communication. Overall needs to close down. Missing clothes.

My dad is currently in the Four Seasons nursing unit, and from the day he went there, he was made to feel welcome and treated with dignity and respect. Everyone involved in caring for my dad does it in such a genuine and empathetic manner and goes beyond what they have to do and for that, I cannot fault
them. They go out of their way to accommodate us as a family when visiting and always keep us updated. They do lots of activities and to see my dad laughing and singing again is priceless. I know my dad is well cared for, and for that, I would like to say thank you.

My Dad was a resident at Four Seasons Care Centre for under two months after a previous unsatisfactory experience at a different Nursing Home. As a family we would like to thank all of the staff at Four Seasons for caring for my Dad in such a lovely, empathetic, supportive and respectful manner....they
all literally treated him like he was one of their own. As a Nurse myself I always say that 'true care' does not cost the NHS or private sectors anything as 'true care' can only be delivered by those who actually 'do care!' and it is clear that all of the staff, including the maintenance man all have such a lovely caring nature and they treat all of their residents how any one of us would want our loved ones to be treated.
Four Seasons not only ensures that its residents have all of the nursing care and attention that they need but they ensure that each resident is stimulated in such a way that allows them to have 'normality.'
Thank you all at Four Seasons.

The staff at Four Seasons Care Centre are excellent. The care provided is good. I would recommend this care facility to anyone with a relative who has dementia. If there is one criticism, it would be that at times there aren't enough staff on duty.

Four Seasons cared for my mum between September 2022 until her death in March 2023. They always treated her with care and dignity. A good care home that is clean and brightly decorated.

My wife has had fabulous care at Four Seasons Summer unit at Saltburn. All the staff and management are very pleasant, caring, and attentive - both to my wife and myself. My wife is enjoying her respite care at this lovely establishment after being transferred from James Cook Hospital, Middlesbrough
- where she was suffering from Delirium. She is now recovering, and I and my wife can't thank all concerned enough. Well done to all at Four Seasons. Would not hesitate to recommend this Care Home.

My wife is a resident in the Four Seasons Care Home - Nursing Wing. She has been a resident for over four years. During that time, she has always received the best care. She is bed-bound and doubly incontinent. All her needs are dealt with by members of staff. During the lockdowns, there has been no
decrease in care. We, the relatives, have been kept informed and our concerns dealt with in a caring and sympathetic manner. The present manager has done a wonderful job as she, on top of all her other tasks sent out quite reassuring letters. The admin staff have also performed extremely well. A difficult time for all concerned. If any slight problems have appeared a quick word with the manager always gets fast results.

Since my mother arrived she has been well cared for. At home she was refusing to eat and drink, the staff here worked with her, she is now eating regular full meals. She hadn't walked for 8 weeks, Four Seasons helped with her mobility. She now seems to be settled and they are taking her out into the
village for coffee and fresh air. To sum up, very pleased with making the right choice of care home.

My husband is in Four Seasons at Saltburn and has been there for three years. Staff are very caring, the food is very good.
He is always clean and tidy whenever I go. The new manager is doing a brilliant job.

My wife is a resident in the nursing section of the care home. She cannot speak, walk or feed herself. She has received very good care from the staff, especially as she is also doubly incontinent. They are doing all the things which I can no longer do, as much as I would like to.

Since the new manager came in, my father-in-law gets looked after very well. No matter when we go he is clean and tidy. The meals are very good. It is just getting decorated. The staff are all lovely and will do anything to help us.

My biggest problem with this home is laundry. We never get clothes back, spend all our money replacing clothes, when asked to see an assistant nobody comes. Clothes are never ironed if they come back and all the whites have to be put in the bin. The room is full of cobwebs, the bed and radiator are
rotten, I feel my sister is forgotten in her room.

During this last year, the entertainment for residents has been poor.
Staff are excellent and do try with entertainment, but they have so much care work to do.

My nana was moved into the nursing unit at this care home as an emergency. With her having dementia we didn't think it was going to be easy settling her in but we were wrong. The staff on the unit are fantastic and I can see that my nana hasn't been upset by this move.
She is sleeping at night which
is something she wasn't doing at home and the food they get looks lovely.
Thank you to all the staff.

My husband has been well looked after. The staff really care for all their patients and treat them as individuals. My husband had shingles and was soon feeling unwell but there was a swelling over his eye so got a doctor out right away to see him, but after 48 hrs the care staff not happy.
I was there
when the doctor came and diagnosed shingles. Because of their dedication not one scar. My husband is happy and really settled in Four Seasons. All staff are excellent to him and myself.

Mum's care home closed down after 5 years of her care, she then had 8 days in temporary accommodation before moving into Four Season Saltburn in July 2017.

She settled well and is now content, cared for and stimulated. Having dementia, I didn't expect mum would ever be as she is now. Clean, well

fed and obviously very happy. I visit weekly and it's now a pleasure to see her. What a difference.

Thank you Four Season, I am forever in your debt.

Current Review Score: 7.8 (7.804)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.8 (7.804) out of 10 for Oaklands Manor Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.8 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 3.957 for Oaklands Manor Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (35 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (4 Poors x 2) + (8 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 70 Ratings = 3.957

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.847 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Oaklands Manor Nursing Home is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 72 registered maximum number of service users is 14.4. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 14.4 = 0.347

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
