Barry and Joan initially opened Gracelands over 30 years ago. The building underwent a full refurbishment in 2017. Gracelands has long established itself as a leading provider of care within a care home environment to Redcar & Cleveland and beyond. In addition to successfully running Gracelands since opening, the owners Barry & Joan Parvin also opened their sister home, Belmont View 10 years ago, which they continue to own and manage. We are confident that we can provide care in an environment which is second to none within the local area.

Hannah Parvin – Registered Manager & Director of Care
Hannah has worked in the Health and Social Care sector for over 10 years, starting as a carer.
Hannah joined the family organisation in 2017 as a social worker, to support and develop Gracelands Care Home.
Hannah has 5 years’ experience as a qualified adult social worker within Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council. Within this role, Safeguarding was a big responsibility, submitting alerts regularly as well as carrying out meetings as a qualified safeguarding investigator. Hannah is also a qualified Best Interest Assessor and completes Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLs) reports. These assessments are carried out for people who lack capacity in regards to care, treatment and accommodation.
As you will discover during your stay, the management team and all the staff throughout each department are committed to providing the highest standard of personalised care. Although the surroundings may appear unfamiliar, the staff will help you to feel as comfortable as possible.

David started with the organisation when Gracelands reopened in 2017 as a Deputy Manager. After working closely with Hannah, David completed his registration with CQC as a registered manager in August 2019.
During this time David has completed qualifications to support other managers within this role and progressing further. David has also completed Level 3 and 5 NVQ in health and social care.
David is passionate about his job and the individuals that use the service. He has a great understanding of all the residents that are currently residing at the home and is able to communicate with each one on an individual and personalised basis.
David has the ability to support individuals with all aspects of their daily living in a way that respects their dignity, is non-judgmental and promotes their independence, choices and privacy. This is a key area that is important to David, which reflects individualised care and support to each individual.
Before working at Gracelands, David worked in the Health and Social Care sector for 5 years, starting as a care assistant, and progressing to the Deputy Management Level.
Job Title: Care Manager
Joined: 2019
Katie started at Gracelands Care Home in 2019 as a care assistant. Katie showed great motivation and dedication and showed a real interest in the care and safety of the residents at Gracelands and therefore progressed to becoming a senior care assistant. After working closely with Hannah and David, Katie then progressed to becoming a care manager at Gracelands.
During this time Katie has completed qualifications to support other managers within this role and progressing further. Katie has also completed Level 3 and 5 NVQ in health and social care.
Katie has a real interest in health and social care and caring for the residents within Gracelands, Katie is always finding ways to improve services within Gracelands for the residents and always has their best interests as a priority.
