My sister has been a resident at Tollesby Hall Care Home for approximately eight years and is very happy there. Whenever I go to visit I am made to feel welcome by staff. I also take my little dog to visit which delights my sister her room is lovely, always clean and tidy. My sister has her pictures
and ornaments from home. The staff are lovely and they clearly care about their residents and I cannot fault the care she has received. I would recommend Tollesby Hall Car Home to anybody looking for a place for their loved ones.

Our mother has been a resident for about one year and the only complaint we have had was with an isolated attitude incident from an agency worker which was resolved immediately and has not occurred again. Apart from that, we are totally satisfied. The attitude of the carers, nurses, cleaning staff and
management is excellent. The quality of food is very good and no problem is too much for any of the staff. In conclusion, we are perfectly happy to have this nursing home look after our mother who is perfectly happy to be here.

My mum was resident at Tollesby Hall from 13th Jan to 9th Feb when she sadly died. The care and compassion that she received during her short stay was exemplary. Staff treated her with dignity and respect and demonstrated genuine affection. I would say that for most of the staff it was not just a job
but a vocation. The room my mum had was very small but adequate for her needs. The home is currently undergoing a programme of refurbishment which will be an improvement for staff and residents. I would have no hesitation to recommend.

My mother has been in Tollesby Hall for nearly a year. As she needed more care. All the staff behave in a professional and caring manner. My mother is 92 and when she came she was expected to be bedridden. The nursing staff worked hard to stabilise her many infections and other problems and contacted
her doctor when necessary. She now gets up a couple of hours at a time and at Christmas watched the entertainment. Any concerns I have are dealt with and communication between carers is very good. My mother is treated with respect and dignity. All the staff are friendly and helpful and make my mother feel happy and cared for. As her daughter to know my mother is cared for safe, well looked after and is mostly happy which means more than they would realise.

My mother was of extremely low mood, crying regularly and wanting her life to end. But since her respite care, she is cheerful, eating well and has not seemed sad at all.
She has company and likes all the staff very much, her room is warm, clean and airy.
She was due to stay a week and has asked
to stay longer, I wouldn't be surprised if she wanted to stay permanently.

I have found the staff at Tollesby Hall to be friendly and caring. Nothing seems to be a trouble to them and requests for anything are dealt with promptly and efficiently. As a visitor, I have always been greeted by staff members. The nursing staff are very competent, one, in particular, spotted a mole
on my husband's chest and called a doctor to examine it - also a minor chest infection was dealt with by antibiotics. Very speedy.

My mum spent the last 8 weeks of her life in Tollesby Hall. Staff responded to her needs in a timely manner and she was able to access pain control quickly which had not been her experience in hospital. Staff were friendly and caring. My mum engaged in humour with carers and told us she felt safe and
secure. I and my family felt supported my by both nursing staff and all the carers.

My mother was in the nursing home following hospital discharge. Nursing care was pro-active, and they organised pain relief, which had not been achieved whilst in hospital. Care staff were attentive and spent time talking and getting to know my mum. All staff were very supportive to myself and my family
at the end of my mums life, and mum felt safe and secure within the home environment.

I spent a week at Tollesby Hall in the capacity of a student nurse on placement and was extremely impressed with the standard of care given to the residents. I found all of the staff to genuinely care about the welfare of the residents, treating each as individuals, and assisting to their care in a
person-centred and dignified way.
Their approach to care extended to the loved ones of the residents, being on first name terms with the regular visitors, and the visitors themselves feeling completely at ease when needed to chat to any of the staff. It was very apparent to me that both the nurses and the manager have an open-door policy for all and nothing is too much trouble. I witnessed staff regularly going to extra mile for the residents, accommodating their preferences and personal needs as a matter of course.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Tollesby hall to friends and relatives.

I have been coming to stay at Tollesby Hall for regular respite breaks for over 2 years. The kindness shown to me is exceptional. The staff dispel any nerves of coming into a home quickly. The home is comfortable and they have a range of activities to keep us busy. The food is lovely and they serve
a wide variety of dishes. I always look forward to my cooked breakfast. I always recommend Tollesby Hall to people I know.

Having arrived from hospital, Dad was treated with respect from the start. The health carer who looked after dad was always cheerful, pleasant and encouraging. They made sure that when the family were visiting all our needs were met, even offering the opportunity to have meals with Dad which was very
special to us. Dad was always clean and smartly dressed with his laundry sorted quickly and efficiently. The whole team were wonderful and led by a caring management team who brought a personal touch to our experience. Right up until and after Dad's passing they were faultless and I would highly recommend anyone trusting the care of a loved one to this team.

My father was moved from a care home in Middlesbrough to Tollesby Hall Nursing Home after a brief spell in hospital as he needed nursing care. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the care and attention paid to my father was excellent. We were happy to leave him in their care knowing that he
was in very safe hands. They not only look after the patients but the visitors too, we were invited to make tea or coffee in the conservatory whenever we wanted and everything was provided. The staffing levels per patient ratio is very good, the staff always introduced themselves and kept the family fully informed on my fathers condition. Excellent all round.

The care was second to none. The whole staff team including cleaning staff, laundry staff, kitchen staff, chef carers team, nursing staff, administrator and manager all provided genuine, loving and compassionate care.
Mam couldn't have been in a better place and she appreciated the help and support
that was invaluable to her which gave us great peace of kind. Mam said of the staff "they are kindness itself." and an one occasion she said to a carer "I used to have two daughters, not I've got lots of you.".

My mam was a resident at Tollesby from mid February - she had complex medical care needs which staff were sensitive to and competent to manage mam's care. I cannot praise the whole staff team enough in these few words. They genuinely care for their residents and gave warm and loving support to to my
mam.
From the superb management, superb care and to superb and thoughtful meals, the service they have given has been greatly valued by myself and my family.
I have felt totally confident and reassured that my mam was afforded the best possible care with up to her passing away - surrounded by her family and lovely staff.

Mum came for respite at Tollesby as her health deteriorated so much that as a family we felt unable to care for her with her myriad of problems. The care home was recommended to me by two friends who had/have been delighted with the care their husbands had/have received. The greatest compliment I could
give would be to say that the ethos here is to put the residents welfare and care as the most important aspect, every single member of staff have the most wonderful caring attitude. A huge thank you to one and all for your work. Long may it continue!

I have recently lost my mum who died in Tollesby Care Home. She had been a resident for 13 years. She was their longest serving resident when she passed away. During her stay she was very well cared for. The staff were all excellent, taking time with my mum when she needed them and also with myself.
She had good days and bad days healthwise, but the staff were always caring and understanding. My mum thought the world of them all. I would highly recommend Tollesby Care Home to anyone who was considering nursing or residential care for a family member.

My Mum was at Tollesby Hall from April to August 2015 before passing away there. She used to say to me on a regular basis, "You could not have found a better place for me" and "everyone is so nice". Mum was looked after extremely well, all the staff are friendly, courteous and nothing was too much trouble,
the staff always spoke to her (and the other residents) whenever they walked past asking how she was and sometimes stopping for a chat. They would push her in her wheelchair outside to the garden during the day and evening and let her enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, and she loved watching the various birds and animals visit the garden. Mum enjoyed the various activities that were offered when she was well enough to attend.
Mum had trouble eating and it was hard to find food she liked but whatever she asked for was made/cooked for her at any time of the day or night, again nothing was too much trouble.
I was in England from March until I returned to Australia in early May and felt relieved and at peace knowing Mum was in good hands, while at home the manager sent me regular email updates about Mum and I could ring her any time if I had any questions or just wanted to chat about Mum. When Mum became very ill, the Manager made the decision to transfer her from the residential level to the nursing level so she would be closer to the nurses and they could keep a close eye on her, which I was grateful for. I returned to England in July and spent most of my time at the Hall with Mum, my brother and step sister spent a lot of time with Mum at the Hall between April and August and we were all impressed and could not find fault with her care and treatment.
Mum had her birthday at the Hall and they put a really nice spread on.
I was with Mum when she passed away in the early hours of the morning and I could not have asked for better support and help than I received from the staff at that time.
When it was time to find a home for Mum I visited six different ones and decided on Tollesby Hall, all the family are glad I did.

The care staff are lovely and always happy to help. My granny enjoys living at Tollesby and has many friends. Staff like to offer my granny assistance with the things she likes, for example having her lipstick and her hair done with a squirt of her perfume everyday.
